She’s a star on the national political stage, but Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is viewed skeptically back in her Queens and Bronx 14th Congressional District, according to a new door-to-door survey.

It found that she has a low 21% favorability rating, that just 11% believe she has their best interests in mind, and that only 13% would vote to reelect her.

The survey of registered voters was conducted by the political action committee targeting her with a Federal Election Commission complaint, Stop The AOC PAC.

A previous survey by the group found that residents were upset with the lawmaker’s opposition to bringing an Amazon headquarters to the district. In part due to Ocasio-Cortez’s complaints, Amazon backed out of moving to her district.

The congresswoman and the Stop the AOC PAC have tussled for weeks, especially after the group’s founder, Washington attorney Dan Backer, filed an FEC complaintagainst her campaign.

Backer said that he has “a particularly strong dislike” for Ocasio-Cortez’s leftist politics and wanted to test the district to see if she is vulnerable to a primary or general election challenge. In 2018, she upset the Democratic establishment by defeating House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley in the primary.

he has since become a media star and leader of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

But in her district the survey conducted by Mobilize the Message for the opposition group found weak support for the congresswoman.

The key findings:

  • 42% are unfamiliar with AOC.

  • 51% have an unfavorable view of her.

  • 33% are ready to vote against her, and only 13% would vote for her.

Sandy serves the purpose of going forth and saying the kind of stupid, bombastic, anti-Trump, anti-American dumbassery that Democrats just love to hear but she’s done NOTHING for her constituency. Those people should kick her out on her bony, socialist ass.

@Deplorable Me: Why should she care? We’re all supposed to be dead in 12 years.

Because her primary opponent, the incumbent, didn’t bother to campaign at all, AOC won the primary by garnering only 16,000 votes.
She didn’t WIN by 16, 000 votes, that was her vote TOTAL!
Her incumbent got even fewer votes.

Then, her district’s voters simply looked for the D and voted for her.
So she beat the R easily in her safe D district.

Now that district’s voters are waking up.
Maybe she’ll he a one term wonder, but she might just win over & over again because of her celebrity status and quotable quotes.
NY is a dream destination for would-be actors and she gives them hope…

AOC s challenge is to sound more ignorant than the ones running for President.

@Nan G:

She’ll always have a career as an “anal-ist” on CNN. They’re always looking for sharp minds.
