Well, I guess we know where he stands…

Billionaire plutocrat and GOP mega-donor Charles Koch says President Donald Trump’s tariffs on aluminum, steel, and thousands of Chinese-made imports are “ridiculous” and “unfair” to foreigners.
Koch, who funds a network of organizations with his brother, David Koch, told the media during a conference with donors over the weekend that Trump’s ten percent tariff on imported aluminum and 25 percent tariff on imported steel was not fair to foreign countries and foreign workers.

The Trump administration has said the tariffs on imported goods are necessary to protect American jobs and industries from foreign competition where foreign-made products are sold much cheaper than U.S.-made products, driving U.S. companies out of business.

“This is ridiculous, we should just get rid of all barriers except on things that will hurt people,” Koch told the media, according to ABC News.

“Yeah, it’s unfair. It’s unfair to their people,” Koch claimed of the foreign countries and foreign workers who have been hit with Trump’s tariffs.

Trump’s tariffs have delivered gains for the U.S. steel industry — which had been decimated by decades of free trade. Most recently, Trump visited Granite City, Illinois, where the former steel town announced that, thanks to the president’s protective tariffs, it was rehiring at least 800 American workers who had previously lost their jobs to foreign competitors.

The Koch Brothers seem to have lost touch with the people of the USA. Such concern for the foreign workers irks me. I wonder how concerned China was/is with the non-working Americans.

David Koch, told the media during a conference with donors over the weekend that Trump’s ten percent tariff on imported aluminum and 25 percent tariff on imported steel was not fair to foreign countries and foreign workers.

What is unfair is that they live and work in a system of government that does not promote free enterprise, over-regulates and over-taxes and needs tariffs to give THEM the advantage. There is no reason for US trade and US workers to suffer because other countries cannot compete.

US companies have suffered the same onerous regulations and taxes until Trump won election. We could not compete with foreign countries who have the benefit of subsides and tariffs. Was this fair to US companies and workers? Was this the fault of anyone overseas?

I respect the Koch brothers for their charitable works and their support, for the most part, of the Republican party. But they need to overlook the short-term pain and see the long-term gain.

The Kochs only understand global economics, very short sided where the majority of their customers are. They need to bring their investments home to where the family wealth was created.

The businesses the Koch brothers own look all over the globe for the cheapest labor.
That done, they send raw materials to them for manufacture.
That done, they multiply the cost many times over to create an American sale price.
And they expect us to be happy.
Nope.

NOTE the source, a leftist site was already helping boycott Koch brothers.
So, who is here who will be buying their stuff?
Maybe, if things go south for them here, they will be forced to sell inside the lands where their very poor workers live!
The markup will suffer.

Um, that must only pertain to white ones?

Apparently, to a racist, everything is about race.
