“It’s fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else.” — Sarah Palin August 13, 2011
With those words, former Gov. Sarah Palin made it clear to me that she will not run for president in 2012.
You don’t tell your supporters “they can jump on board with someone else” if you are going to run. It’s as simple as that. One could, and no doubt many will, say Palin was just inarticulate. I don’t buy that.
Don’t take my word for it. Watch the video David Brody provided of the relevant portion of his interview with Palin at the Iowa State Fair yesterday:

Sarah Palin: “There is still a lot of contemplation that goes on within a family, deciding whether to engage in such a life-changing venture, putting yourself forward in the name of service, in such a position as President of the United States. So, we’re still thinking about it, and the impact on family. Family comes first in my life, and I just don’t want to adversely affect the family. So, we’re still talking about it, thinking about it. And that’s what I want supporters to understand. At the same time, I want to be very fair to supporters and not keep them hanging on in perpetuity. It’s fair to them to give them an answer here, in short order, so that they can jump on board with someone else. And/or to decide for themselves what they want to do. So, still haven’t made up my mind, haven’t decided when that announcement would be yet.”
I hope your wrong, but I think your right unfortunately. That will leave the race between Perry and Rommey. We had bet that if Perry made a bid for the golden crown that she would back out. And so many people out there who want more than just another drone/clone, take him off the self, dust him off, program him with another regurgitated speech, wind him up, and set him on the stage. Then repeat the following steps when necessary. Maybe in 2018 more Americans will finally have their fill of the professional politician, and all the same broken promises that we get every four years. So that will leave the choice, Obama light, or more Bush and cowboy boots.
But there may still be time for the Great Conservative Hope to emerge! But it’s looking extremely bleak at this time.
Technically, Curt, she’s staved off that decision until Sept/Oct in the interview.
Reagan didn’t announce his candidacy until Nov 1979. Considering Palin’s name recognition, and her ability to quickly fill a campaign coffer, Sept/Oct is quite do’able as a viable attempt for nomination in her specific case. She need not put herself out there for more predictable media/DNC abuse any earlier than necessary.
I’m not convinced she’ll run, mind you. But I also don’t see that deadline for her announcement as a candidate has passed.
She is running, just not the way that the other hopefuls are.
“no more Bush and cowboy boots”
Elitist, much? Just exactly what do you have against cowboy boots or are you too much of a girly-man to be seen in them? Perhaps Birkenstocks are your thing, but I’ll take full-quill ostrich Lucheses, thank you very much. What kind of an intelligent person judges one man on another or on wearing apparel? Nah, don’t bother to research Rick Perry, just claim he is not a “true” conservative and keep hoping for another who? Reagan?
You may want to eqate Rick Perry to George Bush, Jr., but you can only do that if you equate Helen Thomas with Ann Coulter.
I’m sorry, but for as much as I think Sarah Palin would be a top-notch POTUS, I AM getting a bit tired of the head games. Either she is in, or she’s not. And if she hasn’t made the decision by now, when? Yes, Reagan waited, but we didn’t have campaigns that were a year and a half long then. And we didn’t have candidates spending almost $1 billion applying for the job.
@retire05: Sir, you are way too serious on boots. The press gets a kick out of comparing Perry to Bush because he wears cowboy boots. As for if I am a girlyman you would have to ask my hairdresser, and as for my choice in manly footwear it all has to do on how I feel upon awaking. Some days after watching Arnulds Film “Pumping iron” I may wear motorcycle boots, or after watching an old re-run of Pee Wee Herman I may chose some brightly mixed colored tennis shoes, or I just may choose to wear some old hippie sandals after watching my old Woodstock tapes. And what is a true conservative today anyway Sir. Like the ones we have had, who promise this and that and then cave in to the libdems? Why keep doing the same thing over and over and getting the same old results? Thats the problem, not the solution. I will go with Bachman before Romney or Bush, I mean Perry. And yes I do wear cowboy boots especially when I watch John Wayne movies.
Well, Gary, if you choose your footwear by what you are watching on the small screen, that just makes you weird. As to talking about you to your “hairdresser”, I’d rather not. I’ll leave those secrets between you and the “hairdresser.”
Again, you can equate Perry to Bush by making the stretch that Helen Thomas and Ann Coulter are alike. What it does is show you don’t know squat about Rick Perry, or George Bush.
Good news on the tease not running. I, like many others, am sick of her coy games.
I must say that I realy like the last speech I watch yesterday,
that from RICK PERRY,
I found it to be very PRESIDENTIAL,like the AMERICANS WOULD ENJOY LISTENING THAT KIND OF RALLYING SPEECH. and at the same time in a humble way of any person
with WISDOM TRULY IN HIS CORE,,
which is a sign of a good leader , and a great quality adding to the ability to discern consequences of decisions made
Sarah Palin IS going to announce Sept.3rd. She will fire up the organization of over 3 million followers and will not be defeated.old school campaigns will not defeat Obama. She is new school! She will set the bar for how it is done in future campaigns. Watch and learn!
Gary #6 Funny stuff.
blogforce If Sarah gets in now she’ll only hurt Perry and Bachmann and assure Romney the nomination.
The longshot pick is Ron Paul. Cain,Gingrich,Pawlenty,Santorum and Huntsman can pack up and go home.
@retire05: What I know about Bush is that he helped us to get where we are currently at in more ways than one with his compassionate conservatism. As for Perry I was sicken to see how quick he was to appease the liberals and anti-immigration crowd when he yelled to the nation how Texas would never follow Arizona in its common sense immigration laws for fear of losing potential votes. That cowardly act alone speaks volumes about his lack of character too me. He is more worried about his political career than he is about securing our state, and the country. As for Coulter, I would vote for her right now. Our political parties are undergoing dramatic changes right now, and into the future. I think those changes will only speed up and become more pronounced as these professional politicians continue to put their careers first, and foremost. More and more people are now defecting from the party mantra to the potential possibilities of the candidate. The smart politicians in both parties see the writing on the wall, and many are now re-aligning their beliefs and behaviors with those of their constituents. Imagine that! The repubican party was the first party to see these changes, but even now there are rumblings of change in the democratic party as well. Americans in both parties are finally waking up to the fact that we have been sold out by the professional politician, and are demanding better. I for one am extremely happy to see these changes, and hope that they are only the beginning of a major over haul of our two party system, and all of its inherited and entrenched problems. I think Palin has an excellent understanding of these changes, and is currently attemping to guage if the the time is right to take advantage of this new phenomenon in our political system. And thanks for respecting my choices in footwear, and I would rather be deemed weird than whacked out. And no I am not implying that you are whacked out!
Greetings all,
I would not place too great a stock in this particular statement as determining one way or the other what Palin’s intentions vis-a-vis declaring herself as a candidate for the office of President of the United States. The vagueness of her answer leaves her plenty of room to either drop out or declare. Her only specification is that it will be “soon”. The bit about giving her supporters time to find another candidate was simply a little red meat for the media to swallow, hook line and sinker. And true to form, some already have.
People have criticized Governor Palin for being too “coy” about whether or not she will run. If she seems somewhat evasive at this point, it is only because she has to be. As she has stated on a number of occasions, there are legal as well as timeline issues that must be factored in to when she makes her announcement, and if she were not running, that announcement would already have been made, since such issues would naturally be moot were she not running. At least I think that makes sense.
Anyway, in all likelihood Palin is running. Come September 3, when she gives the keynote address at the Tea Party rally in Iowa, I think we will know for certain. Being it will be during the Labor Day holiday, it may be time to crack open a beer and fire up some mooseburgers!
I, for one, believe that she will run. And I also believe that she will be the counterpoint the field needs to stop Romney from garnering the nomination. From the “debate” the other nite, it is clear that the other candidates are too involved in criticizing each other and Obama than to spend the necessary time on Romney, who is not what the country needs.
I must admit that I am extremely impatient as to if she will run, or not. We are all hoping that she will. I guess at this point anything is still possible. But at least there is still time to hope!
I hope Huntsman stays in until the primary to draw votes from Romney.
@Gary G. Swenchonis:
Thanks for all the left wing talking points about Perry. So what if he said that Arizona’s SB1070 is not for Texas? Obviously the actions that Perry has taken on the border is not for Arizona as Jan Brewer has not done the same thing. Like base her state guard on the border, or direct funds to put crack state police on the border, along with state owned drones and actual boots on the ground. Do you rake Brewer over the coals for not directing state funds for those actions? Was the news reporting on how Arizona state police killed at least two drug slugs firing on them from the Mexican side of the border, when our own National Guard, put on the border by Obama, were not allowed to fire back, per Obama? Oh, wait, perhaps her state is so broke she doesn’t have the resources to do that. Let’s string her up, right?
Each state has to do what is best for its citizens. Or do you want us to all be clones of New York and Illinois?
Now you may be a Palin supporter, but her playing the coy coquette is wearing a bit thin. If she is going to get in, she needs to do it. Now. She is going to have to try to build a campaign coffer that can compete with the Obama money leviathan that will roll over the rest of the herd like a dense fog. And while I have no problem with her taking on the other GOP candidates, slamming the citizens of their states, just don’t cut it. Its a cheap shot that she tried to walk back.
retire05, hi,
I have a feeling that she is waiting to see which one will hold the top of the lines,
and we know that DONALD TRUMP IS ALSO WAITING FOR THAT TOO, HE doesn’t believe that ROMNEY IS THE RIGHT CANDIDATE for theses times of turmoil and crash economy,
he like BACHKMAN AND SARAH PALIN ALSO,
and I think that if SARAH PALIN get in he will support her fully he might run to support her too,
AND IT WOULD EVEN THE MONEY FACTOR TO GET EVEN WITH OBAMA’S COLLECTED MILLIONS, TO COUNTERACT THE FACT THAT HIS MONEY COULD WIN THE ELECTION WHICH WOULD BE THE ONLY SCREW IN THE WHEEL, TO PREVENT THIS SIDE OF CONSERVATIVES TO WIN
DONALD SAID HE IS WAITING TILL THE END TO JUMP IN ,DEPENDING OF THE ONE IN FRONT AT THAT END TIME
MY ERROR HERE
@retire05: All valid questions Sir. And yes I know that I am hard on the old professional politicians. But like many other Americans I have grown sick and tired of watching these rhinos flush my grandchildren future down the toilet, sell out our conservative social policies, and in summary do nothing but compromise with the libdems. While the libdems have radically changed our nation for the worse in all areas. As for the good governor Brewer who was one of the very few republicans who had the courage to take Obama on, when no other republican would even back her at first. The Rhinos remind me of the bullies that I have seen who will pick on one person while other people stand around and just watch. The gutless Rhinos like the bullies are waiting to see if the lone person who is fighting the good fight will survive the fight before they make a decision to intervene. We have seen the Rhinos engage in these cowardly behaviors time and time again.
When if they would only join together in solidarity they could and would defeat the bullies. But they fear for precious careers, and their egos. Look at what happened when a few good governors did stand together against the unending resources of the Unions. Thats what I call “good politicians”. Men and women who have put the welfare and future of the state, and Union first, and foremost. And its only because citizens like myslef, and others decided that we have had enough of the Gestapo tactics of the left, and that our spinless Rhinos must either shape-up ors ship-out! Perry is scared to tackle the border issue like many other Rhinos. If he could find the courage, and conviction that a few other republicans have found with-in themselves than I may support him. The border issue like all the other pressing issues were ignored for years by both parties. The libdems ignored all these issues so they could cultivate more democratic votes. The republicans decided that if the libdems could buy votes by the selling out of American in little pieces, than why not them too. Its has too stop. And at least now we have a good and solid beginning on taking our nation back from those who have used and abused her for years. I was hoping for Cain, but it looks like he will not make it this time around. My second choice was and is Palin. But one thing is for certian, if we leave the country in the hands of the libdems, and Rhinos our future is extremely bleak and short. We have a third world country with a massive war going on to our south, and our politicans continue to ignore it, while the violence continues to grow and spread. We need the National Guard on the Border or whatever it takes. I think I missed some of your points, but I have some friends comming over to discuss our plans on our support of a candidate.
@Gary G. Swenchonis:
Bachman is the best we have left apparently. Man, I wish Allen West would drop in and clean house!
Gary G. Swenchonis, hi,
you know I watch again the RICK PERRY VIDEO, ON HIS LAST SPEECH, AND HE MENTIONED THE BORDERS TO MUST BE CLOSE, SO HE WOULD SETTLE THAT ONE,
Nan put the link on her comment for the video,
It’s worth the time to watch, a very good speech.
I watch it and thought that you would like it too.
bye
@Gary G. Swenchonis:
I would ask you; what other state’s governor has spent as much on border security as Rick Perry has? When Obama put our NG troops on the border, those troops could not fire back if they were shot at. There was even a story on how our NG troops abandoned a watch tower due to Mexican fire.
Does Arizona, New Mexico and California have state police drones flying the border daily? Have those state put their crack state troopers on the border for any length of time? If Arizona has, why are the Border Sheriff’s group in Arizona complaining about not just federal help, but state help, as well. Does Arizona currently have its NG on the border? Brewer can call them out, you know. Perry did and does, on a regular basis.
As to the border “issue”, we in border states, especially Texas, have been screaming about it for twenty years. It wasn’t an important issue as long as it was a fly-over country problem and now, with illegal immigration and the crime it brings, affecting the northeastern states, it has become a national problem. Why did it take the rest of you so long to catch up?
But I have a news flash for you; border security is important to conservatives, but it is NOT the most important thing on their list. That three letter word (to quote Joe Biden) is; jobs. Jobs, and the economy. When you don’t have a job, and your unemployment is about to run out, you will not give much thought to Juanita swimming the border just to have her kid. You are more worried about yours.
C4P debunks this bogus Redstate story (pretty quick to nip it in the bud)
http://conservatives4palin.com/2011/08/palin-tells-nbc-news-bachmann-win-will-not-affect-her-decision-to-run.html
UPDATE: On another note:
Earlier today the Perry cheer-leading website ran with a post titled “Palin is not going to run“. That post is based on a response Governor Palin gave to David Brody on when she will make her decision whether she will be running for president. This is what the Governor said:
((((“There is still a lot of contemplation that goes on within a family, deciding whether to engage in such a life-changing venture, putting yourself forward in the name of service, in such a position as President of the United States. So, still haven’t made up my mind, haven’t decided when that announcement would be yet.”))))
How Redstate came to the conclusion that this means she’s not running beats me. What Governor Palin said is that she’s seriously thinking about it and will make a decision shortly because ”IF”, and I emphasize ”IF”, she decides not to run it wouldn’t be fair for her to hold on to her supporters.
What I take away from this response is that as far as the Governor is concerned she would wait longer to make an announcement, but she understands that a decision must come sooner so it doesn’t appear like she’s stringing people along.
Apparently Redstate missed the following Governor quotes by the Governor.
In response to who she would support if it comes down to Romney vs Perry:
((((I don’t see that happening))))
The only way it won’t come down to Romney vs Perry is if Palin is not in the race. Because if Palin isn’t in the race it WILL come down to Romney vs Perry. How does Redstate explain that?
And how about this quote?
((((When We’re Ready to Announce … You Won’t Be Able to Miss the Announcement’))))
Does that sound like someone not running?
Redstate obviously wishes that Governor Palin won’t run, but just because you hope something won’t happen doesn’t mean it won’t.
In any event the day Governor Palin announces, Redstate loses its credibility, whatever was left of it.
Bill Clinton didn’t annouce until October 1991
@JustAl: Your right about Allen West! And unless Cain can work some powerful Mojo it looks like Bachmann is the only one left at the time. Cain was doing great until he stumbled with that Islamic question, and attracted the press like flies to a picnic.
@Tim:
Palin has been “thinking” about it for two freaking years. If she doesn’t know by now what effect it will have on her family, and doesn’t know if she should jump in and get wet by now, she will never be sure.
She doesn’t want to “adversely affect the family?” That is the same damn thing she has been saying for at least six months, and she should have thought about that when she accepted McCain’s offer. Her family had been drug through the mud like no one in modern history. And they endured it, for her.
It all boils down to money, baby. Can she garner the big money bundlers? Can she put a crack staff together? Not just a staff, but battle hardened politicos that know how to win?
If Iowa is any indication of the mood of the nation, and the press seems to fixated on it, where were Palin’s write in ballots? She was there drawing huge crowds, but when Sean Hannity (who looooves him some Sarah Palin) asked the crowd last night if they would vote for Sarah in the primaries, there was a loud, resounding “NO.”
Just cry me a river. I’m soooooo sorry she isn’t playing by the establishment rules or by standard mesures….that gotta really steam you that it’s ruining your miserable life.
If the straw poll was so important then Pat Robinson and Bob Dole should be President. That poll is a money making cash cow for the Iowa GOP and a rat hole to sink a campaign. T-Paw just proved that theory. And O4P was smart to avoid the straw poll trap. They’ve got bettering things to do by building up their support base and setting up groups in over 32 states (and counting).
If you feel so offended by Palin waiting for HER TIME (and doing it HER WAY) then I simply can’t help you. When she announces, you can just cry some more and whine a lot. To quote the teacher on Peanuts…blah blah blah.
As to Sean at the Iowa fair. You do know that at the fair there were supporters from OTHER candidates. C’mon boyo, buck up. When she was on stage with him, watch the crowd again and watch the CNN clip.
@ilovebeeswarzone: Bee it was a good speech, and if Perry gets the presidency we hope that he will follow through on his promise to fix the borders.
@retire05: The past 20 years Sir I was reporting illegal aliens, only to see that in most cases nothing was ever done, or they just came back in 6 months. It was part of our job. Have you driven down south all the way to the border lately sir? There are whole little towns that are now practically empty because the legal hispanics, and other races have fled North. And how about the most dangerous gangs in America that no-one likes to talk about? They came up here from mexico and are thriving in many major cities. These gangs also prosper in our prison system as well. Those gangs are costing us tons of money, yet no-one rarely mentions them. Not counting all the people they murder, and now they suspect that those gangs have hooked up with Middle Eastern terrorists because they can get across the border so easily. Also you can take the back roads going down South and see whole groups of illegal aliens running across farms and highways at times. And jobs? If we don’t get Obi out of office and a real bona fide conservative in office who will tackel the illegal immigration problems we will only have more problems with jobs for Americans. The country of Mexico has been, and is currently fighting the few states that are standing up and really doing something about immigration. Bush left the borders wide open, and Perry was right there with him. Since old Ronnie pardoned 12 million aliens and said it would never happen again. Remember that? I disagree with it then because I knew how our professional politicians love to look for the easy answer that will not offend anyone. We don’t need another feel good president like Perry, we got Obi for now. And thats enough to last a life time! Stop and think how much money illegal immigration is costing this nation. You have the primary problems, secondary problems, and all the related problems from rampant illegal immigration. Can you say England? Thats our future sir! And that is only “related”. Look at how many hospitals have gone belly up in the border states. They could not afford to provide free medical care. What about those jobs sir? So, yes I am worried about jobs like everyone else, including yourself no doubt. What we need is Sarah Palin! Or Herman Cain. And maybe Bachmann. People who will not back down from the libdems, and our fellow Rhinos on any issue any more. We are in a fight to take our country back from those who have misused their powers. The elected, egotistical professional politican. So heres hoping that Palin will run for President. And why do you think they drug her family and Palin herself through the mud? They fear her and what she represents, and more importantly what she can do! I hope these rumours are true about the 3rd of Sept!
Gary G. Swenchonis, hi,
I like to read the positive side of you, you see ? PERRY HAS DONE SOME MAGIC ALREADY,
you where the most negative on the politic issue, that mean , a good sign for PERRY
and he’s just beginning,
now on FOX the commenter has put a screw already on him,
saying well being from TEXAS like BUSH hopefully won’t bla bla bla,right after showing his profile
very impressive to be the deserving best for the leadership position.
bye
When she said, “So, we’re still talking about it, thinking about it,” that tells me she hasn’t decided for sure yet, or doesn’t want to say she is in yet. When she said, “At the same time, I want to be very fair to supporters and not keep them hanging on in perpetuity,” she could have meant that if she decides not to run, she should wait very long to announce it. I have made a fool of myself too many times by assuming something, so I try not to do it any more.
SMORGASBORD, , HI,
I think assuming is a very normal thing and make for healthy debates too,
each come in with their opinions is food for more thoughts to think if they will change their position on one candidate or stay on course, it even help to enforce the person’s judgment to be right or not sure or wrong and back up from the assurance of their stand at the beginning,
I don’t think anyone make a fool by loosing their choice at the end,
because the candidates are all human with expertise on some parts and ignorance on other part, and they all are not perfect either, as we would like to make them, they are human imperfect but it’s their passion for serving AMERICA IS a burning flame for them, that to me is a deserving plus to the rest of their ability, and I like what DONALD TRUMP said in an interview at FOX,
THAT AMERICA doesn’t need a PRESIDENT, but SHE NEED A SUPER PRESIDENT,
that is very true even more now than we ever thought,
bye
@ilovebeeswarzone: #33
The main thing I meant was that if a person is wrong enough times, then people won’t listen much to what they say any more. I like to know that people can trust what I say. I know how it was being wrong as many times as I was because I came to conclusions without having enough facts. This is why I take a long time to decide something new to me.
SMORGASBORD, you are among the one I trust to take the content of comment ,
and build up my own comment along with my own deductions
base on my logic judgment of it all and emotions too.
and if I’m judge to be wrong, It’s okay, and I will take it or discard it, depending where
and from whom it came from.
I think that’s what BLOG are all about, they make us dig in the core to express the way we think,
and the part I particularly enjoy, is to discover what the other think of the same POST, and how they express it, bye
that’s why I like this group of smart posters like you, here at FA,
@ilovebeeswarzone: Bee i appreciate your remarks, but do you think all Tea party people are negative? It’s really not being negative and or positive Bee. Its looking for the solution, and not living in the problem. The problem was and is the old professional politicians and all their broken promises to change. Look how quick the new Tea party politicians have brought about change in DC. Only a handful of them brought about these changes Bee. They are doing what their voters sent them to do! Our old Rhinos quit listening to their voters years ago Bee. And look at how angry the libdems and the rhinos are at them for upsetting the status quo of our corrupt and broken political system. The system still works, its the old professional politician that is corrupt and broken in many cases. And now thousands of Americans like me, want honest people to represent us who will put the welfare of the country first and their own selfish interests second. The political landscape is undergoing dramatic changes Bee. This is only the beginning. We, average Americans and the Tea Partyers or at least some of us are extremely distrustful of politicians like Perry, and Rommey. I have never really bought into Positive and or negative thinking. There is only reality, and the problem, and the solution. Thinking positive will never change a problem, it takes planning, action and perseverance to find and bring about a solution to any problem. Thanks Bee.
@ilovebeeswarzone: #35
I hardly ever get accused of being smart. It feels good. Thanks. Drudge and FA are the two blogs I go to first.
Gary G. Swenchonis,
I hope I didn’t offend you, saying you are negative, I should have said what you answer, that is, MISTRUST,
yes I don’t blame anyone even if they mistrust some. and It’s normal too, with
what is going on now,
I guess the CANDIDAT will have to work on it to prove what they say is what they will do;
TOO BAD THEY HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE BECAUSE OF THE LIES COMING FROM THE DEMOCRATS
WHICH ARE DESPERATE AND WOULD TELL ANY LIES TO SAVE THEIR PARTY IN DEEP PERIL, AND THE FACT THAT NOT ONE STOOD UP TO EXPOSE THOSE LIES MAKE THEM ALL GUILTY OF TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ALL THE AMERICANS,
THE MILLIONS THAT IS GIVEN TO OBAMA WON’T CHANGE THEIR LIES TO TRUTHS
THE ISSUE WILL BE ON THEIR LIES ,NOT THEIR MONEY,
@Gary G. Swenchonis:
Please, do not pretend to tell me about the down side of illegal immigration.
Do you remember the Railroad Killer? He rode the rails just two blocks from my home. I attended the funerals of three people he murdered. And who caught him? Why, golly gee, it was a rookie Texas Ranger, not the feds. Having dinner with our county sheriff and his wife a couple of weeks ago, he complained that the feds WILL NOT pick up illegals if we have less than 20 of them in our county jail.
One of the gangs you are talking about is MS-13. They originated in Honduras, and migrated here.
@ilovebeeswarzone: No Bee you did not offend me at all. As a matter of fact I always enjoy reading your posts and your replies. All we are doing here at FA is expressing our opinions on various issues, and of course debating those opinions. Like an old mentor once told me, ” Opinions are like armpits. Some stink more than others.” Life is too darn short to get angry over another persons beliefs. Its the the article/post and the debate that the article generates that count the most. And like my replies to you they are not ment to offend. I will admit that the far left can and often does push my limits on getting angry, and frustrated. But your not in the far left group at all. I think all the conservatives here at FA have our countrys welfare at heart, be it the Tea Party people, the far right, and the center people. Thanks for your reply.
@retire05: Retire I am not pretending to tell you about the downsize to illegal immigration. The downsize to illegal immigration are too numerous to mention in one post. My main point was to illustrate the enormous costs of ignoring, and or minimizing the issue of illegal immigration which both the Rhinos and the libdems do all the time. Why? Because it is one issue among many others that can wreck a professional politicians career, his fear that no High Schools, airports, libraries, naval vessels, highways, etc… will be named after him/her. That his/her bid for temporary immortality will fail. And that him/her will be resigned to just being an everyday commoner. You made some points, I made some points. Thats all. Not to mention a life of living on the public dole, and making a fortune on books, and seminars after he/she retires from their years of humble service to their beloved country, and adoring subjects.
@Gary
I think you mean the “downside to illegal immigration.” Although I think most of us here would like to downsize those who support illegal immigration. 😉
