OUR INCESTUOUS POLITICAL CLASS: Brother of CBS News President at Center of Latest Benghazi Bombshell. “Missing from much of the coverage of yesterday’s revelations that Senior White House adviser Ben Rhodes coordinated an effort to obfuscate the truth behind the Sept 11 2012 terror attacks in Benghazi was a key detail about the insidious relationship between politics and media in Washington. The brother of Ben Rhodes is David Rhodes, president of CBS News.”

And the guy up at the podium lying about it yesterday was ABC reporter Claire Shipman’s husband, Jay Carney.

I’ve heard of 6 degrees of separation, but in Washington it’s more like 1 degree. Incestuous to the nth degree.

“House Speaker John Boehner announced on Friday he will call a vote to form a House select committee to investigate the 2012 Benghazi attacks, accusing the Obama White House of “misleading the American people” by withholding emails on Benghazi – emails that only just surfaced this week despite a 2013 subpoena.”

Haven’t the republicans investigated the hell out of this already? They’ve done so to the point where they’ve pretty much rendered the public numb. So much so that it would take a serious revelation to recapture their attention.

This isn’t it.

“The fact that these documents were withheld from Congress for more than 19 months is alarming,” Issa wrote in a letter to Kerry, warning that “the Department is not entitled to delay responsive materials because it is embarrassing.”

The White House press staff were given an outline of talking points. What a shocking bit of information. I mean, who would ever have imagined? And they didn’t share the email with you. Until now, anyway. Pardon my bluntness, but So what? It might matter if there was something substantive in it that actually mattered, but there isn’t.

CBS decided to come clean:

Nancy Cordes first pointed out that “for nearly 20 months, four separate committees in the Republican-led House have held dozens of hearings, examined documents, and released reports on the Benghazi attacks.” She then quoted from the House Speaker, who explained that “a special new committee is needed because the Obama administration is – quote, ‘intent on obstructing the truth about Benghazi’ and ‘willing to defy subpoenas.'”

NANCY CORDES (voice-over): …Boehner had long argued a special committee was unnecessary. But aides say he changed his mind this week, after the White House released previously unseen e-mails in response to a lawsuit. One of the e-mails was sent three days after the Libyan attack. Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes wrote that in public appearances, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice should – quote, ‘underscore that these protests are rooted in an Internet video, and not a broader failure of policy.’ Republicans say the new e-mails are proof the administration initially said the attack was a spontaneous reaction to an anti-Muslim video to avoid taking heat for a terror attack on its watch.

Near the end of the segment, Cordes noted that “the [Obama] administration contends these e-mails reveal nothing new, and that Congress should focus more on who attacked the U.S. compound and why, than on what the White House said in those first confusing days after the attack.” Pelley then added his “editorial note” about the Rhodes brothers.

why should the REPUBLICANS stop, now?
they are still waiting for the release of what they ask of files,
that, since the murder of the four men,
this will end only when all the minutes files are review,
so if you democrates want it to end,
start digging in the stached away secrets files of the WHITE HOUSE, AND OF HILARY,
