…I’ve done major surgery on the poor and uninsured for what I tell them is “what you can pay me, per month, up to a third of my bill, and I’ll write the rest off.” Usually, if I see good faith payments, and if the bill is onerous, I’ll tell them that they have paid enough earlier than a third.
With the threat of the coming chaos of Obamacare, and to protect the 53 staff and 5 other doctors, I’m selling to a hospital chain. Small business medicine, the backbone of healthcare in the U.S. will follow my example and sell as well.
We will, eventually, just like in England, have a two-tiered system. Just like now, where the middle-class stagnates and the owners of stocks prosper, the elites win and the lower classes get by.
You all better pray that foreign medical schools keep cranking out doctors that want to come to America, and that it is still more lucrative to practice here.
