Obamacare crashes the economy

The dance between the Affordable Care Act and the nation’s economic output is a delicate one: We spend more per capita on health care than any developed nation and want that number to go down. But health care spending is a major part of the U.S. economy, and when it goes down so does our Gross Domestic Product.

Economists have known this was an issue since the passage of the ACA, but the general assumption was that any slowdown in health spending would be offset in the near term by the addition of millions of people receiving health insurance for the first time. Even if per capita spending falls, the thinking was, the total consumption of health care would rise, particularly in the first year of implementation, as newly insured people took advantage of the coverage to get treatment they had been putting off.

Those projections had led the Bureau of Economic Analysis to estimate in April that growing health care spending had boosted GDP growth in the first quarter of the year by 1.1 percentage points, which at the time looked to be the difference between an economy that was growing slowly and one that shrank over the first months of the year.

As it turns out, those early estimates were…off. GDP growth for the first quarter, which had already been revised from an initial reading of anemic 0.1 percent growth to a contraction of 1 percent, was revised again Wednesday, to a much more dramatic contraction of 2.9 percent — the worst quarter since 2009, and a number that Michael Feroli, chief U.S. economist with J.P. Morgan called “shocking.”

And?

Most analysts seemed cautiously optimistic that second quarter numbers would show a healthy rebound.

Obamacare Boosted Health Care Spending — and GDP

That’s what believing the lies about how many signed up and how many never had insurance before will get you.

US Dept Commerce:

Real GDP declined 2.9 percent in the first quarter, after increasing 2.6 percent in the fourth. This
downturn in the percent change in real GDP primarily reflected a downturn in exports, a larger decrease
in private inventory investment, a deceleration in PCE, and downturns in nonresidential fixed
investment and in state and local government spending that were partly offset by an upturn in federal
government spending.

So even our terrible 1st Q of -2.9 would have been worse had it not been for Federal Spending being so much!
Can we spend taxpayer money out of another down quarter?
Not at all.
Consumers and businesses have to pick up their spending, too…. a lot.
Well, maybe sneeze guards raising will help.
And other health-related spending: update your vaccinations folks…..
Obama didn’t like how few are newly insured so he inundated our country with measles, mumps, chicken pox, TB, scabies, whooping cough, etc.

The Obama MiniTru department is not able to keep up with all the revisions needed to maintain the false narrative.

The sad fact is that they seem to be correct that too many Americans are frankly too ignorant of history and too apathetic to their pending enslavement by the left to actually care about how blatantly the left is lying about everything as they merrily rip our nation apart. Of course the RINOs have clearly demonstrated their lack of integrity with the Cochran fiasco. Watch for the predictable win by the democrat in the fall, as the RINOs so stupidly do not realize they have alienated the conservatives with their false racism charges against McDaniel – and the black votes the RINOs pushed to get Cochran’s runoff victory now evaporate back to the democrat candidate while the conservatives stay home and refuse to support a disgusting, unprincipled political hack as Cochran.

It is going to be exceptionally ugly when the mob finally realizes there are no more “rich” people from which the left can steal to pay off the mob….

he said, he bring home the bacon,
HE SOLD HIS SOUL TO DEMOCRATS,
AND THE PEOPLE ELECTED HIM FOR BACON
he was help by DEMOCRATS to win,
McDaniel almost did it by himself,

I often wonder, what would have happened to AMERICA,
IF RON PAUL WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PREVENTED TO GET HIS RIGHTFULLY VOTES,
now that i read of him, it”s very positive on his side, all he sais make sense,
and pick up a lot of people to like what he said,
we sure are paying the price for the gigantic error, of letting him out,
HIS SPEECHS ARE COMING ALL NOW ON YOU TUBE, AND THEY MAKE MORE SENSE THAN ANY OTHER,
