AP-Washington, DC. Obama, outraged at the amount of negative press Melissa Harris-Perry and MSNBC have received over her remarks concerning the communal rights of society versus parental rights over the children stepped out in a rare, Friday afternoon press briefing himself to chastise conservative media — without a teleprompter — over their misguided understanding of Ms Harris-Perry’s remarks concerning who the real stakeholders are in America’s youth:
“There are a lot of healthy, successful American womyn who agree with me – because they wanted to give up their chance at motherhood. They know they didn’t – look, if you’ve become a mother, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so fertile. There are a lot of fertile people out there. It must be because I suffered much harder, longer labor than everybody else. Let me tell you something – there are a whole bunch of folks out there suffering hours of labor.” (Applause from the MSNBC section of the press room)
“If you had a baby, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great sex-ed teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American child that you have that we allowed to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. I don’t care how many hours of ‘natural child birth’ labor you were in…If you’ve got a baby—you didn’t make that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all you socially stunted people could find a mate off the Internet.”
“The point is, is that when we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative, but also because we do things together. There are some things, just like fighting fires, we don’t do on our own. I mean, imagine if everybody had their own fire service. That would be a hard way to organize fighting fires.”
Obama really sounds like he’s flailing about. Well, in actuality women do need for their egg to be fertilized with sperm to make that baby. but I don’t think Obama can take credit for that unless it was his. It sounds clear that he’s shooting blanks with the argument posted above.

Women have the right to be raped in gun-free environment: ‘rapists and rapees should work together to prevent gun violence for the common good’……..Someone at an Occupy rally.
This is more proof that if a liberal speaks without a script to follow, they either babble on and say confusing things, or they tell the truth. This time obama babbled.
obama seems to be saying that without the government, a woman can’t get pregnant. I’m retired, but not old enough to remember the Pilgrims landing in the USA. Since there wasn’t a government, roads, hospitals, or fire departments yet, how did the women get pregnant and have babies?
This last remark is extremely disturbing. Has anyone seen footage of these statements to confirm that this is what he said? I haven’t been able to find any.

I agree that there are many “lame” comments here, but do you consider the conservative or liberal comments lame? Since you aren’t wearing a uniform, we can’t tell which side you are on.
