Here we go. Obama mocks Republican’s plan to drill for oil and once again pushes the green energy hoax. He knows this issue of rising energy prices could be devastating in the upcoming election and he has to get out in front to put the blame on someone, anyone but him. When things go are going good, he’s the first one to claim credit, when things start going bad he always points his finger to someone else and says, ‘they are to blame.’ Never ever take responsibility.
Yeah, BO and we aren’t stupid enough to believe that you are going to turn algae into viable fuel in the same time that it would take to drill. Barry, you’ve been sniffing the pond scum… maybe you could turn it into perfume and Mooch could market it… jes sayin…
No one is going to drill for very much of anything in our country until there is a fully integrated socialized government. I believe all the green initiatives started solely to preserve our natural resources until they absolutely control it all. (That poor disabled Congresswoman Waters said as much when she mumbled something about socializing the oil industry on record). Either they really believe we have a short-term limited supply, or else they really believe they can hold on to power for a long, long time. They’re wrong, as usual, on both accounts. But it’s their plan and it follows the collapse of our government through economic ruin. They realize there will be high unemployment and low revenues to run things. The oil money will keep them afloat while they figure out what to do for an economy. I truly believe that’s as far as they’ve planned but I’m sure it’s worded, “until the economy strengthens….,” or some such fantasy. Well….that and getting rid of the non-productive. Euthanasia; another leftist idea.
SM, you know, there are about 100 million gun owners. Do you really think a made up crisis will not result in a visit to the Capital by a large number of those people who, in the past have assembled peacefully, have a much different outcome in mind? Obama thinks he can run over our rights and exceed his constitutional authority without regard to what the country thinks. He believes he can do whatever he wants because he is surrounded by like minds who tell him his lies are being believed. There were about a million Tea Partiers at Glen Beck’s deal in D. C. Someone should remind Obama what happened to Saddam.
Just how much does it cost to spin straw into gold…..I mean to transubstantiate pond scum into gasoline?
Don’t think this technology a waste of time even if this waste of a president supports it. The technology has been rapidly becoming viable to various private industries for internal fuel consumption as a solid fuel for the likes plastic and paper recyclers. I’ve dealt with the tanks in my earlier years as a college student, and the major drawback is the acres of land the tanks will use to grow the algae. A UK Engineering student has recently submitted a thesis and plans for a vertical livestock farm for chickens, if that thesis is repurposed to sustain algae tanks then the issue of sun expsoure and land consumption would be made moot.
The other problem with this tech would be the current infrastructure or car engines is not ready for the type of grade liquid fuel this produces now, especially given the economy we are in now it is unfesible to expect the majority of the autoindustry to shift over to this new fuel source. This technology is there in terms of reliablity unlike Solar and Wind, it’s just not there in terms of infrastructure yet.
But on the topic of the President’s comment… We as a Nation will suffer greatly from rising prices of fuel and whatever “recovery” this President is credited for will come crashing down harder than the 2008 “Great Recession.” Our industries, even the goods and services our little socialist friends consume, is transported from cargo jets all the way to cargo vans to supply small stores. These transport companies (Saia and the like aren’t going to eat fuel costs) slap the fee of fuel on any freight on to the bill of lading for any transported good to their clients, which may very well be that Apple Store liberals love to go to or that Starbucks. That extra fee on the retailer or factory directly eats into budget which would translate to either an employee pay decrease, final product price increase, or terminations of jobs to offset costs of higher. Then again I doubt many liberals have sat down and stared at an accounting report at all, given their heros on the Senate have yet to pass a Federal Budget plan for over 1,000 days…
