The Obama campaign released a new ad this morning in which we’re treated to an epical presentation of President Obama’s hard-fought achievements — because nothing says “historic” like a classic Morgan Freeman narration.

Every president inherits challenges. Few have faced so many. Four years later, our enemies have been brought to justice. Our heroes are coming home. Assembly lines are humming again. There are still challenges to meet, children to educate, a middle class to rebuild — but the last thing we should do is turn back now.
So… other presidents have faced 9/11, the Cold War, WWII, the Great Depression, WWI, the various other recessions of the 20th century, and etcetera… but we’re to understand that few presidents have faced challenges on par with those “inherited” by The One. Huh. That doesn’t reek of hubris at all.
I am missing something. Hw many of the terrorists at GITMO have been tried? I do not recall a war where over 625,000 soldiers died (US Civil War or a war where another 600,000 died (WWII). What about the dust bowl? What about the War of 1812 where everything that had been gained was close to being lost? This man is an egomaniac. I think sane people will recognize this and either not vote or vote against him. This was well over the line even for a GOD!
Freeman is an idiot and the words were written by a committee led by Jarrett/Axelrod.
The headline should be: Few presidents have bungled so often
This is more whining. Can’t get more pathetic than this.
I’ve seen this before in Canada. You want welfare- vote socialist.
You want jobs – vote free enterprise.
The fallacy of the false dilemma.
(Where would Obama be without fallacies???)
The false dilemma here is that Obama’s snail’s pace of ”recovery” is our only FORWARD choice.
The false implication is that Romney would take us backwards to recession or even into depression.
Obama blithely skips over the idea that other options come with choosing Romney.
Like going forward FASTER than this snail pace!
Recovering sooner rather than someday.
I saw the ad during the season premiere of The Walking Dead last nite. How fitting that an ad by a Presidential candidate is shown during what could be a glimpse of the future if that same man is elected.
