Some Muslim students at the University of Missouri protested an upcoming campus screening of “American Sniper” and clamored to have the film’s debut there canceled.
At the heart of the controversy is a Muslim student activist who declared showing the film on campus would make her feel “unsafe” and demanded an “apology and explanation” as to how and why the movie was even selected for Mizzou audiences.
The uproar was taken quite seriously, and prompted the student government to conduct a meeting to determine whether the flick should be shown.
“This film is blatant racist, colonialist propaganda that should not be shown under any circumstances and especially not endorsed by a branch of student government that purports to represent me and have my best interests in mind,” student Farah El-Jayyousi had stated.
She made the comments in a letter to the editor to the campus newspaper earlier this month, denouncing the decision to show the blockbuster – the highest grossing film of 2014. El-Jayyousi accused the movie of dehumanizing Muslims and glorifying the murder of Iraqis, and referred to Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL featured in the film, as “a killer with no regard for human life.”

The only reason that you do not feel safe, good or not, is your own paranoid imagination. This film is not a threat to carve off your head, or roast you in a cage, or rape you to death, or any other form of threat to you. The USA isn’t your ancestral land, after all.

I wonder if it was at University that she learned so much about her “rights”, and about being entitled?

Anything that the Muslims do not like, they will push the issue in any and all attempts to derail the American way of life as hatred towards the Muslims. Personally I could care less what they like and don’t like in America. If she or others feel “unsafe” they are welcome to go to another country where they will feel safe. Additionally, if they are successful with their protest, how long before they become further encouraged to start protesting any religious service that is not Islam?? The sight of a Christian Cross worn as a necklace will offend them. They have said they will take over this country from within and slowly but surely, one step at a time, one protest after the other, the liberals will give into them with their, “We are all created equal” and they will have accomplished their agenda. Better start teaching their language as shortly this will be their country.
If they protest ANYTHING American, ship their butts to one of the sh^ithole countries that are Muslim and let them enjoy their insidious religion to its fullest.

@James H. Humphrey: Hope your hypothesis, is not correct, even thou I agree with it! If the USA ever give them ‘Protected Class’ status, our Liberties will be threaten. As, you mention, Equal (under the Laws of the USA) but now, Blacks have been given a type of ‘Protected Class’ setting them, in some cases, above the ‘Law’ based on their Skin Color.
We, Homo Sapiens Sapiens are from the same Race, the Human Race and just because of Geological Origins, we are still one.
