Change of venue coming up
The Minneapolis City Council has unanimously approved paying six social media influencers to spread city-approved messaging and updates throughout the upcoming murder trial of former officer Derek Chauvin, who has been charged in George Floyd’s death. On Friday, the council approved $1,181,500 for communication with the community during the trial, CBS Minnesota reports.
The city says social media partners will help dispel potential misinformation, and that the influencers will intentionally target Black, Native American, Somali, Hmong and Latinx communities with their messaging. Each influencer will be paid $2,000.
The goal is to “increase access to information to communities that do not typically follow mainstream news sources or City communications channels and/or who do not consume information in English,” the Minneapolis City Council said in a statement. “It’s also an opportunity to create more two-way communication between the City and communities.”
The city council hasn’t finalized how they will choose the influencers, but said selections will be based on recommendations from the city’s Neighborhood and Community Relations staff.

Um… $1.2 million for propaganda to assure that whatever was left intact after the last riots would get destroyed unless the lynching of Chauvin is completed? I thought just days ago, Minneapolis was trying to raise more money to beef up the police department they “defunded” and destroyed?
Has anyone even remotely established a racial motive for any of this…you know, the reason Dems/Leftist paid “influencers” to spread the narrative so black lives and black businesses could be destroyed, often by rich white kids who can’t find a job?

While I don’t defend Chauvin, I do hope the defense shows the build up to what happened, as it will find a professional officer who dealt with a drugged up man already saying “I can’t breath” as he sat in the driver’s seat of his car.
@Nathan Blue: I only support Chauvin’s right to a fair trial, but that ship has long sailed. It remains to be seen if anything Chauvin did resulted in the death of Floyd, who was LOADED with fentanyl. But, CLEARLY, race had nothing to do with Chauvin arresting Floyd or Floyd’s death.
But if Chauvin is not found summarily guilty and handed over to a lynch mob, Minneapolis will burn and the “influencers” (read: “instigators” or “inciters”) will make sure of it.
They need to recall their entire City Council and Mayor in Minneapolis these idiots are going to turn Minneapolis into another Detroit

Three jurors were picked today.
One, a white, young male chemist sounded so rehearsed, and sounded as if he wanted on the jury so as to write a blog or book.
Most prospective jurors sounded so tentative, scared to express their personal opinions.
Others seemed oblivious to the fact that their preconceived viewpoints would keep them off the jury!
