You know, I really like New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, bu I’m still heck-a miffed at him for supporting the NJ Transit Authority’s firing of Derek Fenton for merely exercising his Right to Free Speech. Let this be a teaching moment for Gov. Christie; Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Man who burned Qur’an gets pain and suffering fees
NEWARK, N.J. — The New Jersey Transit employee fired for publicly burning pages of the Qur’an on the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks last year is getting his job back.
It’s all about the left forcing their views on the rest of us by any means necessary.
This man was fortunate to be working for a government agency (NJT), if he worked for a private firm he would have had no recourse. The Libtards who are all around us (especially in management, HR & PR) feel that they have a right to enforce their worldview on everyone and will not hesitate to have you fired for exercising your First Amendment rights outside the office and most of the time they get away with it .
And why shouldn’t they? There are NO consequences for them if it doesn’t work. No one is being fired or even admonished for wrongly firing Derek Fenton despite the fact that it cost NJT thousands in penalties (and when you factor in personnel time & legal fees it could go well over 6 figures).
I work for a Corporation and I have attended protests & demonstrations (Support The Troops, Tea Party, etc…), if it came out that I was involved in these activities I’m sure one of those HR asshats always preaching about Diversity (except political diversity) would do their best to have me fired. They would likely be successful and I would be unemployed without any legal recourse; even if they were unsuccessful they wouldn’t face any negative impact on their job – they’d probably get a ‘nice try’.
This is a real problem in our society now and we need to address it – although I’m at a loss as to how.
