Rebel forces in Syria are now officially receiving CIA-delivered weapons from the United States government, the Washington Post reports, citing U.S. officials and Syrian figures.
Following months of delay, the lethal aid promised to the Syrian rebels by President Barack Obama began trickling into the war-torn country over the past two weeks. The opposition forces have also reportedly received vehicles and other gear from the State Department, marking a “major escalation of the U.S. role in Syria’s civil war,” the Washington Post observes.
According to the Post’s sources, arms shipments of light weapons and other munitions are being delivered to the rebels as well as nonlethal gear like sophisticated communications equipment, advanced combat medical kits and vehicles — all funded by the U.S. taxpayer.
So, this changes the ”calculus,” yet again.
Does Obama’s right hand even know what his left hand is doing?
It is beyond sickening that we are supplying ANYTHING to either side in this conflict – but if we have such a mindless and soulless group in the CIA that they would actually deliver medical and advanced weaponry to the “rebels” then I have no faith left in them. It is bad enough that our government is corrupt, incompetent and traitorous, but the rank-and-file down the line seem to fit that bill as well. No heroes left, it seems.
Let me get this right. Our Commander in Chief is making a deal with the Russians to remove the WMDs in Syria. To do that, we must work closely with the Russians to be sure all of the WMDs are removed and destroyed. In the mean time, Russia is supplying the Syrian Government so Russia can retain their warm water base. Our Commander in Chief who is trusting and working closely with the Russians are supplying arms through the CIA to the Syrian Rebels who are over 60% al Qaeda, who is responsible for the US deaths on 9/11.
If I have this right, I believe that not even Hollywood could use this as a viable plot for a grade D movie staring Susan Sarandon as Susan Rice and Dennis Rodman as John Kerry with costar Rose Ann Barr as Hillary Clinton.
Why does Obama insist on supporting jihadists associated withAl Qaeda and the MB. It makes no sense, especially when we continue to engage in drone attacks against other jihadists.
