BILL MAHER: Just bear with me. I want to show for the folks who may not follow politics as closely as we do who all the people are who are now in or possibly in for the Republicans. We’re going to show you some pictures. Let me start with the first category. These are the people who have either declared or just, you know, pussy-footing, but they’re really in.
There’s Tim Pawlenty, raw sex appeal. Mitt Romney, you know him. He ran last time. Ron Paul announced today. He of course has been in Congress 31 years. His theme: I hate government. Mike Huckabee says he has a big announcement over the weekend which is either he’s going to run or “Hee Haw’s” coming back. Herman Cain, I never heard of this guy, but apparently he ran Godfather’s Pizza, and Republicans say they love him so they’re not racist – right.
So, whatever Republicans do they’re racist.
They don’t support a black presidential candidate, they’re racist. They do support a black presidential candidate, they’re racist.
Got it?

Maher is a useless liberal mouthpiece. The only reason I know about him is because bloggers are always quoting him. What he says doesn’t mean anything. Personally, I love Herman Cain. To me, he is everything presidential and NOTHING at all like our current POS. Go Cain. Forget the media, they are in Zero’s back pocket anyway. Everybody knows that is true.
Cain makes a lot of sense…. From a lefty “identity politics” mode, a Cain -Palin or Cain – Bachman ticket would be a beaut. Not only are both admirably qualified, it would divide the massive uninformed “independent” vote.
JimS To suggest a Cain/Bachmann or Palin ticket would bring Indie or African American voters is as incorrect as was the thinking Palin on Mac ticket would bring Hillary Dem. women.
IMHO a Cain led ticket has no chance against BHO. Huck out is big boost for Romney’s chances. I believe Romney will win Iowa and N.H. with Bachmann a close 2ND in Iowa.
When you understand that Maher gets paid to tell lies for a living, it’s hard to give a shit what he says about anything. He’s a doll with a string on it’s neck.
@rich wheeler: Rich,
I’m not sure I completely agree here. I suspect a lot of the black vote goes color. Maybe not so much for women and independents. In any case I surely don’t think it’s the right way to campaign, identity politics is for democrats.
I wouldn’t mind a Romney/Bachman ticket either. 😉 Anyone but Obambi. Hell, my neighbor’s rather goofy Rottweiler could do a better job than Barry.
Andrew Beitbart used to be a regular guest on Maher’s show before he went to cable.
Andrew was interviewed by Armstrong Williams about his life and his book, Righteous Indignation.
At one point in the interview he spoke about how chicken white conservatives have been to really express their views.
He said the black and female conservatives have shown a lot more courage.
He said it had something to do with their having to already break free of the Democrat/Liberal/Progressive slot set for them.
He pointed out all of the horrid names Dems/Libs/Progs have for any independent-thinking blacks, Hispanics, females or gays.
It is true.
We have seen that repeatedly.
So, white men – who are conservatives – haven’t had to break away mentally and physically like these others have.
Thus their collective weak rhetoric.
I hope our white male conservatives find their voices.
Soon.
In the meantime I would have no problem voting a Cain/West ticket.
@ccoffer – What you say is so true! The sad part is that there are sooooo many uninformed ‘followers’ out there, that they take what he says as ‘gospel’. And I don’t know what’s more frightening, Maher lying or those who actually believe his lies as truth!! Bill O’Reilly does call him out on things at times…
Monica Crowley interviewed Herman Cain on her radio show. Thats how I found out about him. I was impressed with what I had heard and when I got home I researched him…Herman knows business, he is a staunch conservative and wow – Actually Loves his Country… I thought he was very concise in his thoughts and his answers when he was in the debates about a week or so ago. I would be happy to see him on the ticket – the same with Allen West… There are many Democrat voters who are so quick to bad mouth these two, or any Black Conservatives.
Just like Alfonso PMJTV says: ” the Liberals (like Maher) takes what is Nobel and Good then they Twist it and make it Shameful and Bad. The Liberals have to block out the light so people cannot get a good look at how evil they really are. Liberals “Project on others” what “they really are”… “
