Jonah Goldberg and David French both handle these calls for a reckoning the same way:
1, deny they ever believed that Russiagate is real, and then,
2, suggest that maybe Russiagate was actually real.
Jonah executes #2 by claiming that Trump brought on all these allegations through his own actions.
So, you know: History will vindicate Jonah. Russiagate was/is real.
But no, you tiresome pests: Jonah never actually believed Russiagate was real. (But it is! One day, you’ll see! You’ll see!)
Jonah also says anyone who calls for him to account for his previous catastrophic errors and leftwing biases to be “bad-faith” actors.
He’ll spend all day demanding Trump and “Trumpists” tell the truth, but he will never, ever tell the truth himself.

Trump brought all this upon himself by being a global businessman that recognizes Russia is a place that does business, too. There for, ipso facto, Trump is a Russian spy. See? You can’t miss the glaring clues.
Meanwhile, Comey is a liar that lies and lies and lies. He undercut the President’s authority and office. He didn’t like the taste left in his mouth left after sucking Hillary’s ass, thinking she would win, so he took it out on Trump, since Hillary might retaliate by having him commit suicide.
You can excuse those who promoted Russian collusion for about a week. I never bought it, but I did remain cautious until there was enough evidence (Hillary was behind it) to generate doubts. From then on, I denounced it for what it was, a political act of treason and sedition. Now, I could have been wrong then, but as the weeks and months clicked by, more and more evidence surfaced supporting my view and undercutting that of those who relentlessly and desperately clung to the false assertions.
If I could see the facts, there is no excuse for anyone else not being about to see them. All the signs of doubt were there and rather than believing the most effective and productive US President in 50 years was a Russian asset, anyone could have done a tiny bit of research and learned the truth and, in the process, learn who the liars were. Some people simply prefer stupidity over wisdom.
Just about like her Vast Rightwing Conspiracy its all based upon Lies and the usual load of Malarkey we get from Liberal democrats and their Media Lackies we were skeptical of the M.S. Media for many years before Goldburg wrote his book Bias
