Isis ‘crucifies children for not fasting during Ramadan’ in Syria

Fasting is not a requirement for NON-Muslims, either, but in Malaysia NON-Muslim children are being told to ”drink their urine” if they get hungry or thirsty during school hours …. rather than tempt the Muslim children (and teachers.)

The Apostle Paul wrote to a congregation in Corinth that had issues with who was the best Christian, once-Jews or never-Jews?
He wrote:

1Cor 4:6 Brothers, I have applied all this to Apollos and myself for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what the Scriptures say. Then you will stop boasting about one person at the expense of another.

Muslims take delight in going beyond what is written.
Being (or seeming to be) holier-than-thou is the name of their game.

That’s also a great way to recruit sadists and keep ”order” over the meeker Muslims.

Yup.
They have brought jobs, security (not the kind anyone at the NYTimes would like) and propped up some semblance of an infrastructure including schools and hospitals.
