If Brian Terry had been black, would the Black Caucus have walked out on the Holder contempt vote?

In a sickening display of partisanship, the Congressional Black Caucus and other Democrats walked out of last week’s House vote that found A.G. Eric Holder in Contempt of Congress.

That same day, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa released secret wiretap applications that prove — beyond a shadow of a doubt — that Holder and other DOJ officials committed perjury and executed a cover-up. It is now apparent that the highest levels of Main Justice knew precisely what tactics Fast and Furious employed long before the operation resulted in the murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.

So here is my thought experiment of the day: What if Brian Terry had been black? Would the CBC have walked out on the contempt vote?

WOW! That’s an intriguing question!!…. What “IF” the proverbial shoe were on the other foot!!?!
Oh! and Holder was ‘more white’… WOW what a snap shot! Eh, I already know the answer to your question…how does protesting with Sharpton and Jesse sound ??…

Obama and the Left has so pitted so many of us against each other, that to many, we are no longer humans, we are ‘color’ and that is truly a sad thought in this day and age…

Now, political correctness [aka – squashing of free speech] is a one way propaganda tool used by the left to cover their lies – we can no longer ‘tell it like it is” …. Conservative Amercian’s should not fall for this either…the Left ‘knows’ we are right, but wants to put a plug in it… why the hatred for conservative talk shows? we counteract their brainwashing propaganda ”with the truth”…

That same day, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa released secret wiretap applications that prove — beyond a shadow of a doubt — that Holder and other DOJ officials committed perjury and executed a cover-up.

No, the wiretap applications that Issa released do not prove anything, because Issa has not actually released any wiretap applications. People keep insisting that he has done so, in increasingly hyperbolic language.

It has also been repeatedly stated that he has read specific details into the Congressional Record that prove Holder and other DOJ officials yada yada yada. He has not. If you read the “actual details” Doug Ross states he found “on pages H4409 through H4411”, you’ll find they are nothing but assertions that the proof exists in documents which the public and most members of the House who voted haven’t been allowed to see.

If you want to review the Congressional Record to look for these “actual details,” you’ll find the entry for Thursday, June 28, 2012 here, with page 4409 beginning approximately 3/4 of the way down.

A number of democrats walked out because Issa has turned a legitimate investigation into a politically motivated witch hunt. The Black Caucus would likely use a different historical metaphor.

The Black Cacus walked out because they are Democrats. If they can not make the rules, the pout like a spoiled child. Dems did the same thing in WI and IN. They can put it out when they are in charge, but can not take it. There are words we in the military call people like them. It starts with a p

A number of democrats walked out because Issa has turned a legitimate investigation into a politically motivated witch hunt.

A witch hunt? Apparently, you’re not aware of what a witch hunt, nor of the facts in this case. Holder deserved to be held in contempt. He was not complying with the investigation. He refused to hand over documents that were legally subpoenaed. He claimed Obama knew nothing of the program and yet got him to invoke Executive Privilege when the heat was on. How exactly can Obama call Executive Privilege on something he didn’t know about? Was the use of Executive Privilege a desperate attempt to save Holder (and possibly himself) or was Holder simply lying under oath? This has all the markings of a cover-up.

I realize you’re a hyper-partisan nitwit that simply parrots whatever the far left tells you, but if you demonstrated even a remote capability for rational thought, even you would see that Holder is guilty as sin. He is brazenly incompetent. He is a race-baiter, as evidenced by his letting the New Black Panthers off the hook (which prompted one of his own co-workers to quit in protest), but pursuing a case against swing-state Florida because – gasp – they’re purging voter rolls of dead people. But none of that is illegal. But the reason that brought him to this point – the murder of a border agent in a plan that no one can make any sense out of – is. And I swear, if you’re actually dumb enough to try the “Bush started it” crap, then you’re clearly too incompetent to know that Wide Receiver ended in 2007.

You want to talk about a witch hunt? Go talk to Scooter Libbey and ask him about Richard Armitage. Or was that somehow different? Oh, of course, it was. A Republican was president then, so your opinion was magically different. Boy, I wish I could change my viewpoints on the simple basis of which party is in power, but I’m an adult that seeks to hold himself to an ethical standard. I can’t afford to engage in such childish nonsense. Maybe one day you’ll grow beyond that childishness, but I strongly doubt it.

To be blunt, Holder deserved to be held in contempt and he deserves whatever legal troubles come next. As for the Black Caucus, they simply walked out because he was black. Like you, they obsessed with race and can’t comprehend such as holding people accountable no matter what their skin color is.

The killing of White Border Agents and Mexican Nationals supplied by a Black Panther supporting agency of bigots.

Clearly it was an act of racism!

Oh, wait, according to Democrats Blacks can’t practice racism, it’s justifiable behavior due to their genetic make-up and should be considered reparations for indirect ancestral sufferance from slavery. What were we thinking? (Sarcasm-off)

@SpideyTerry, #4:

I realize you’re a hyper-partisan nitwit that simply parrots whatever the far left tells you, but if you demonstrated even a remote capability for rational thought . . .

Apparently you have read pages H4409 through H4411 of the Congressional Record, and can point out the specific details Issa has released “that prove — beyond a shadow of a doubt — that Holder and other DOJ officials committed perjury and executed a cover-up.”

Would you care to share what those specific details are?

I won’t hold my breath. As was pointed out in post #2, Issa has released no wire tap applications. Nor has he read any specific details into the Congressional Record that support what he has alleged, because he doesn’t have any.

@SpideyTerry:

Well stated!

@Greg:
A political witch hunt? Are you joking? The unarmed (bean bags) border agent; unarmed ICE agent, hundreds of mexicans and who knows how many americans is considered a wich hunt? A strategy devoid of common sense, legality and criminal intent a witch hunt?

What is your definition of justice or better, would it be ok for the current racist regime in washington and the black caucus to provide your neighbor with assault weapons to kill your family? Would you consider that a witch hunt, if investigators wanted to get to the root of the problem?

Fact is, the current administration and its enablers concocted a plan to undermind the 2nd amendment to bear arms ‘under the radar’ as obama stated to the brady activists, trafficked in guns to cause violence, allowed hundreds to be killed by said gun trafficking, and covered up the result to not be exposed about their unlawful actions, with the intent of accusing the US of allowing the crimes due to excess arms and subsequently hoping to restrict or do away the 2nd amendment, lying under oath a number of times, and you consider that to be a witch hunt?

There is something wrong with you; hopefully you re-evaluate your opinion.
The CBC is in my opinion a true racist group of people; naturally the white house and holder among them are no different. It is always the color of skin with these people rather than the content of character.

it’s too bad for the CONSERVATIVES BLACKS, because now
the more BLACKS come in front of a screen, which are noble and smart and tell the truth,
are getting the listener to turn away from the screen,
no matter how hard FOX NEWS get them in to give their opinions
if some are excusing the behavior of the one walking out, because they support a black person, being questioned to answer a demand to produce papers needed to close an inquiry, being caught to
waste time on it by not showing good will and not doing what is requested of him,
questioning him for a good reason where death happened, to prove the misconduct source,
well those walking out are showing blatant racist mindset, no matter if they deny it, and no matter who try to excuse their behavior.

No, I’m not joking.

Issa isn’t really trying to determine what went wrong with Fast and Furious. If Issa were actually interested in that, he would be focusing his investigation at the operational level and the managerial levels immediately above. That’s where the facts would be found that could make clear exactly what went wrong. Instead, he cherry-picked what he wanted there and quickly moved on, avoiding testimony from a number of law enforcement personnel who were directly involved in the operation. If some of the news stories that have come out recently are any indication, it’s likely because their testimonies wouldn’t have supported the politically useful conclusions that Darrell Issa wanted to draw.

Not everyone is buying Issa’s narrative. Here’s an article from The Tucson Sentinel, June 28: New revelations point to a Darrell Issa conspiracy. The guy who wrote that header isn’t joking, either.

June 28, Washington DC – Bombshell reporting in Fortune Magazine and the Washington Post sheds new light on the festering, wormy mess that is Darrell Issa’s Fast and Furious investigation. Fortune reports that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives operation was nothing like U.S. Rep. Issa has claimed. In fact, Fast and Furious was so different that it is virtually impossible for Issa to be so utterly misinformed. He appears to be lying.

@Greg: And how do your liberal rags know so much about the operation when Holder will not release the documents? You are so pathetic Greg. You believe all of the spin from the left. I suppose you now believe that Obamacare is not a TAX? Did the Easter bunny visit you this year or were you a bad boy?

And how do your liberal rags know so much about the operation when Holder will not release the documents?

They asked people who were directly involved in Fast and Furious that Issa didn’t bother to talk to. What a stroke of genius that was! I mean, who ever would have thought of such a thing?

Keep thinking it’s Issa that’s at problem here Greg, especially since there’s 300 some Mexican citizens dead and a handful of Americans dead by ATF’s and Holder’s idiotic handling of Fast and Furious. Your source also has Gunwalker confused for F&F.

It’s Issa that’s the problem. And, thanks to the NRA, the Issa conspiracy theory/witch hunt has become the problem of nearly every republican in the House.

Boehner vows to take the executive privilege issue into civil court. Have at it. That will keep the whole business in the public eye long enough for the facts to surface.

@Mr. Irons: Mr Irons, it is people like Greg that allowed the dictators of the world to take over. George Orwell described people like Greg very well. Some people continue to believe the spin no matter what. They will never be able to think for themselves.

Right. Hey, isn’t it time for your Daily Download from Rush Limbaugh or something?
