How Radical Left Is Black Lives Matter? Here’s A Full List of Its Extreme Demands.

Daily Wire:

The Black Lives Matter movement has issued its official list of demands of political leaders, and they are even more extreme and radical left than anticipated. Among the six categories of demands are permanent reparations “for past and continuing harms” to the black community, including free education for life and a guaranteed minimum income; the end of the “war on black people” and banning the “criminalization” of blacks in any form, including pop culture; the redirecting of law enforcement and military funds to black communities; a complete rehaul of the economy to benefit black people and a rewriting of the tax code to better redistribute wealth; control over local government; and “independent Black political power and Black self-determination in all areas of society.”

Below are some highlights from each of the six categories of demands, followed by the full text of the demands.

1. Reparations for All “Past and Continuing Harms” to the Black Community

The group demands that reparations be paid to all members of the black community, including the undocumented, by the “government, responsible corporations and other institutions that have profited off of the harm they have inflicted on Black people — from colonialism to slavery through food and housing redlining, mass incarceration, and surveillance.” Some of the ways these reparations will be made is through “full and free access for all Black people (including undocumented and currently and formerly incarcerated people) to lifetime education” and giving a permanent “guaranteed minimum livable income for all Black people.”

2. The End of the “War Against Black People”

“Since this country’s inception there have been named and unnamed wars on our communities,” the group states. “We demand an end to the criminalization, incarceration, and killing of our people. This includes: An immediate end to the criminalization and dehumanization of Black youth across all areas of society including, but not limited to; our nation’s justice and education systems, social service agencies, and media and pop culture.” A few ways they want to accomplish this is by removing cops from schools, ending zero-tolerance school policies, and cutting funds from police and school discipline programs — all leaving school children and teachers even more vulnerable.

3. Divesting From Law Enforcement & Military, Investing In the Black Community

The group demands “investments in the education, health and safety of Black people, instead of investments in the criminalizing, caging, and harming of Black people.” All those funds must be “determined by Black communities.” Some of the programs they want to defund: “exploitative forces including prisons, fossil fuels, police, surveillance and exploitative corporations.” They also want to divert some military funds to the black community, ban reference to criminal history for any services needed, completely restructure detention facilities, and end capital punishment.
