I hear ya!

…kids these days, always taking things apart and putting them back together again… And really? Feeling a sense of pride when the electronics still work? Wanting to bring it to school to show it off to their peers and teachers? Seriously, wtf? How is doing that kind of crap going to teach kids anything important?

Any time I see my kids tinkering with electronic gadgets, trying to figure out how they work, I will make sure to do 2 things:
1) Demonstrate how easily I, an adult, can do the same thing (in, like, 1/10th the time).
2) Post an Internet video of me making a mockery of their ineptitude. I’d hope to see it go viral. That way the whole world could join me in mocking my idiot kids – I’d teach them to feel any sense of pride for doing something that’s so simple for grownups.

This is America. Texas, America, for crying out loud. Let’s work a bit harder to get these kids away from messing with electronic gadgets (leave such tripe for the Chinese, amiright?), so they focus on what really matters in Texas high schools: Football.

Shit. This loser, Ahmed, is 14 years old, and I’d bet he can’t even throw a good spiral yet.

@Kevin Kirkpatrick: Friday Night Lights—-love Texas high school football– It’s The Longhorns that got a problem—-Go Irish.

@Kevin Kirkpatrick:

I invented football.
And I invented the TV to watch it. Here it is:
