Washington Examiner:

How quickly they forget. Despite widespread coverage of her non-answers during a recent congressional hearing into the IRS scandal, there was no TV network coverage of the abrupt resignation Monday of top tax official Lois Lerner.

A new study from the Media Research Center found: “Not a single network bothered to report the stunning news [Monday night] or Tuesday morning.” The conservative media watchdog group called the lack of coverage about the scandal figure’s resignation it “blatant censorship.”

MRC said it wasn’t surprised, noting that the networks have given up covering the ongoing scandal over the IRS’ targeting of Tea Party groups and delaying their bid for tax exempt status during President Obama’s reelection campaign.

According to the MRC’s analysis, it’s been 90 days since ABC last mentioned the story on either their morning or evening news programs, 89 days since NBC mentioned it, and 61 days at CBS.

Most of the networks stopped having a news media in their networks a long time ago. They have become a propaganda brainwashing machine for the liberals, socialists, Muslims, and any other anti-free country organization there is. My belief is that they have been infiltrated, just like we are trying to infiltrate other country’s news media to try to turn them into a more free style of government. If they call the USA a democracy, they are telling you they are a propaganda media for the liberals. We are a REPUBLIC.

Another way the propaganda media slants their stories, is that if a politician is accused of wrongdoing, and they are a republican, that is one of the first things mentioned. If they are a democrat, the party isn’t mentioned, or it is mentioned at the end of the story.

Pay attention to what kind of government the news media you are watching calls the USA, and if they ever say anything bad about democrats, so you can tell if they are a propaganda machine for liberalism.

Fired with pension intact, how cruel can you be?

What about federal charges?

How about a plea deal or hard time, then maybe we could find out who put her up to this BS.

What is the matter, are the RINOs afraid her story will go to the top?

Scapegoating is an old and well understood sport in the annals of human abuse.

@Skookum:

This may not be over for Lerner by a long-shot. Just because you resign does not make you immune to prosecution. What is the statute of limitation on corruption and misusing your appointed office to unfairly influence a Presidential election? Even after, those conservative groups that her administration blocked, can sue her for using her position to violate their constitutional and other legal rights.

If the TEA Party candidates win office and secure both houses of Congress under Republican leadership in 2014, I expect that 2015 will be known as the Year Agency Heads Rolled.

Did you see the hot rumor? She may be going John Dean.
She is allegedly talking to Issa.
That is an event for which I want a front-row seat!

Lois Lerner’s lawyers negotiating with Oversight Committee on immunity

IRS scandal figure Lois Lerner is negotiating through her lawyers with Rep. Darrell Issa’s House Oversight and Government Reform Committee about possibly gaining immunity to testify again in the committee’s investigative hearings.

What a surprise.

Mindless robots getting heaved out with the trash, wonder why their owners don’t respect or love them.

@james Raider:

I see this as a CYA by Lerner. At this point, after all the obfuscation, Issa will likely demand she spill all the beans or the “immunity” protection will be revoked.

However, it must be noted that she waited until after she stepped down and no longer has access to agency hard-copy or computer files. Lerner is playing devious games here, and I think Issa should tell here that it’s too late for her to get immunity and supeona her with a “contempt of Congress” threat over her head.

@Ditto: #7,

no longer has access to agency hard-copy or computer files.

Absolutely – that’s one of the objectives – firming up the wall to protect the W.H.

Once the Republicans give up on this, she’ll surprisingly find herself in a high-paying consulting job at a liberal ideology spreading station.

I’m guessing that her lawyers convinced her that since she made a statement before taking the 5th, that voids her 5th amendment right not to say anything. I’m also guessing that her lawyers told her ahead of time that if she spoke, she voids the 5th. These high ranking liberals seem to think they can mold the law around them, or just ignore it and it will go away. Hurray for Issa.

I hope he doesn’t take the deal, unless it is one where she agrees to tell all, and if something is found out that she knew but didn’t tell, then the agreement is voided, and they start at the beginning. There is a legal name for it, but I don’t know it.
