Life News reported:A federal court issued an order Friday that halts enforcement of the Obama administration’s abortion pill mandate against a Colorado family-owned business while an Alliance Defending Freedom lawsuit challenging the mandate continues in court.
The mandate has generated massive opposition from pro-life groups because it forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties.
Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys obtained the first-ever order against the mandate on behalf of Hercules Industries and the Catholic family that owns it. The administration opposed the order, arguing, contrary to the U.S. Constitution, that people of faith forfeit their religious liberty once they engage in business.
The decision only applies to the company, and the court emphasized the ruling did not apply nationwide.

The judge made a point that his ruling could not be widely applied.
It is specific to THIS case only.
But it is a start.
Before the cheers get out of hand, this is only a temporary injunction—often employed when actions are thought to possible encroach on someone’s rights. Again, as far as I’m concerned, this issue is a matter of religion imposing on the rights of others.

As a business owner faced with the obamination’s requirement to provide abortion services, my only action would be immediate: calculate the out of pocket cost of my provided health care, then award a prorated pay increase to all my employees that consumes the annual value of provided health care, and then cancel the plan, revise company policy and procedures manual and move on helping our customers with their HVAC needs. No need to be a pawn in this game of obozo high stakes income redistribution.

The Feds have no right to force private industry or religiously affiliated colleges or hospitals to compromise their values and beliefs. Of course there will be the attempt to tie compliance to any federal funding, which amounts to extortion if anyone besides the government was involved. No one is preventing anyone from obtaining birth control from public health clinics funded by state and federal health programs. What is wrong is forcibly removing the rights of those whose beliefs don’t track with the current liberal mind set. The right to life came before the right to convenience, no one should be asked to cover the cost of the irresponsible behavior of others.

You seem to have forgotten something Liberal1. No one is making those people work there. Nor are they imposing their religion on the workers, the owners are just refusing to support their workers sexual proclivities. Isn’t it the women’s movement that is vocally against issues regarding sex in the workplace? Wouldn’t they also be against the employers telling the women who work for them that they have to get abortions or that they have to practice birth control? The business owners are clearly staying out of their workers bedrooms, the workers have no business therefore demanding that their bosses take responsibility for non-work related sexual indiscretions. These workers have the right and freedom to seek employment elsewhere.
You forgot to subtract the $2,000 tax (fine?) the gov’t imposes on business owners for not insuring each one of their workers, Marine72.
