Gallup state numbers predict huge Obama loss

Gallup released their annual state-by-state presidential approval numbers yesterday, and the results should have 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue very worried. If President Obama carries only those states where he had a net positive approval rating in 2011 (e.g. Michigan where he is up 48 percent to 44 percent), Obama would lose the 2012 election to the Republican nominee 323 electoral votes to 215.

Gallup adds:

Overall, Obama averaged 44% job approval in his third year in office, down from 47% in his second year.

Major problem we have is the lying mainstream media. They lie everytime their lips move. They lie by omission, by commission, by voice tone, by raised eyebrow, by body language.

We must counter these liars…call them out. I don’t care who the nominee is…he needs to call these people out, everyday of the campaign…once the world is on to their lies, we win.

The main problems the GOP has are the candidates it will be offering, and the anti-middle class, anti-working class, anti-women’s rights, and anti-minority positions it has taken. The only thing they’ve got going for them is anti-Obama sentiment. That’s a lot to be relying on when the man’s approval rating is in positive territory.

Your problem with the mainstream media isn’t that it lies. It’s that it shows too much of the truth.

The Marxists have a huge problem, Obama and his anti-American agenda. It’s true, he has the most sophisticated propaganda machine in the history of the world, but it is losing its credibility with literate Americans day by day. Defeat and the collapse of the Democrat Party as a viable political entity is facing the American Liberal as a result of promoting a hapless buffoon to the office of the presidency.

@Greg: I suppose it could be argued that focusing the discussion on contraception (which is something the MSM cooked up, probably with some input from insiders) is ‘showing too much of the truth’ – but that is not how I see it. I call it a deliberate distraction from more critical issues. There is more to the media and its manipulation than just ‘is what they said true or false’. In fact the vast majority of their game is simply not reporting on things they don’t want people to think about, and putting stuff they do want on people’s minds on the front page. Another good example is the frequency with which they report stories of particularly sympathetic illegal immigrants (some PhD candidate who faces deportation or a teen who has lived here since the age of 3 or w/e) while underreporting on the problems caused by illegal immigration overall.
Of course it’s also true that the MSM is not a monolith. Fox has a different agenda than CNN, and WaPo, the NYT and the WSJ are not all somehow controlled by the same people. But there are still commonalities in how they treat certain topics.

CURT It would be pretty scary if you checked the approval rating per state of any of the 4 Repub candidates. Go to RCP and check electoral college projection for 2012 and you’ll see Obama ahead.
Got a ways to go but Vegas has Obama favored.

You’re a savy guy. Would YOU bet your pension against BHO to WIN?

@Skookum: The Democratic party is probably less at risk in the near term than the Republican. There doesn’t appear to be any serious internal tension between the moderates and the far left. Plus they have a huge core consisting of entitlement voters and two ethnic voting blocs (black and hispanic). Fewer ideological fault lines than in the Republican party, IMO.

@VoteOutIncumbents: and to that end — watch which candidates have been and will be calling out the media and rubbing their noses in their own and the DNC’s crap

You listen to one prog and you listen to them all. Their voice over recordings of obama talking points is tiring, repetitive and boring.

@Greg:

Your problem with the mainstream media isn’t that it lies. It’s that it shows too much of the truth.

That, Greg, is an entirely debatable point. Witness the discussion within the MSM pertaining to the contraceptive mandate. They state it exactly as you have. That is, that it’s a women’s reproductive “rights” issue where the Catholic Church wants to tell women what they can and cannot do with their bodies. Truth? Hardly. And I’d even go so far as to call it a big lie.

The real truth? That the left wants to force a religious organization, using the government, to pay for something that it doesn’t agree with. The left wants the government to force the Catholic Church to give in to the women demanding the Catholic Church give them something the Church doesn’t believe in.

So, you buy into the leftist media’s defining of the issues, even though they are completely wrong and only meant to further the leftist agenda, and you call that truth?

Funny, I still can’t find a single “Republican” who’ll put their money where their mouth is on this election.

Money be talk’in and bullshit be walk’in.

hi
I think that the people are getting it , some are still under the spell but the main crowd is watching very closely a leader who will try anything to save his skin, it, easy to figure out just by what he is spending, that is the people money
bye now I am going to your POST , I was there and the computer went through a re shaping,
not the right word there , but I had to leave and it is very interesting POST thank you,
bye

I saw the ABC debate, George Stepawhatshisface, Clinton White House insider…now a “journalist” spend six minutes questioning the GOP candidates about contraception. This was three weeks before the attack on the estalishment clause and the Catholic church. Nobody could figure out what George and Diane Sawyer were doing. I remember the crowd became restless and started booing. 15.6% real unemployment and ABC wants to talk about contraception.

Now…how did that come to be? Does George have ESP? He was tipped off, of course. His questions were setting up the candidates to say something “stupid” so the White House could have an attack ad. And we’ve heard almost nothing about it.

ABC “News” acting in conjuction with the Obama White House used their position as debate hosts to set up the Republicans. Why are the GOP candidates not SCREAMING ? Why is the rest of the media not screaming? If this were a Fox debate with that network doing the same thing the outrage would be unending.

When are the Republican candidates going to stand up and fight back??????? I honestly don’t get it. The nominee needs to hold a press conference at the convention and demand: (1) President Obama be vetted. He was not four years ago; (2) during the coming campaign the nominee will question the premises of all questioners.

Most voters do not follow politics…at all. They get a little interested after labor day…and vote the way the media tells them…on show like “The View” or “Today”. If we are to have a chance this time WE MUST LEVEL THE MEDIA PLAYING FIELD.

VoteOutIncumbents
yes, but they don’t have the power which OBAMA as taken advantage of, they don’t yet have the power of being on the top position which is coming soon when you will see heads fall, they are not yet free from trying to be the only one left, which will be coming at the end of that debate concentrated on vetting the other among them, and the one to rise above we will see a rise of their attacks after the one is sure of his gain, which will download THE OBAMA power faster then he expect it using his appointed OWN MEDIAS which will be demolish with their long time lies, directed to the PEOPLE , the process is going step by step, and they cannot afford a mistake but the tools to attack is being handed to them by the events occurring now,
it is predicted that OBAMA will result to the lowest action to win, and he will, but the power of the people is the greatest one, and they are watching the events unrolling and will know what to do when the call is given if needed to. the PEOPLE are being protected by them all along the process of those step by steps actions from the CANDIDATES who know the ruthlessness of their opponent, and know what to expect by now.
this is my views
thank you for that great comment, and OBAMA will be vetted for sure at the end, and be left as he really was at the beginning and the end, expose to the AMERICANS
it will be the punch line he will deserve, after so much damages and lies.
bye

Of recent, a video clip of debbie schultz from florida was noted on gas prices. I know that Fl., not known for its brilliance. Drug trafficking, gang shooting, insurance fraud, and a list of others. SO WHAT PLANET DID debbi schultz come from? What is tragic, is the fact that my tax dollars pays this lunitick’s salary. But worst of all, is the mentality of the population that votered he to this post. A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. Smile America, you have elected another idiot to destroy our freedom.

@mos 8541: Did you mean Debbie Washerwoman-Stultz? At least she is better than Joseph Goebbels, Jane Fonda, John (I am in Egypt and hopefully they will me arrest along with the rest) Kerry, Chrisse Mathews, and the list goes on. But not much better! At least she’s a good humor gal.
