Fox News:
A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot in the arm by a gunman who sources said expressed disagreement with the conservative group’s policy positions.
The guard, who was not identified, was conscious after the shooting and was being treated. The shooting occurred in the Chinatown neighborhood Wednesday morning.
The gunman was apprehended and was being questioned by the FBI, sources said. Sources said he is in his twenties and may have been posing as an intern.
The suspect “made statements regarding their policies, and then opened fire with a gun striking a security guard,” a source told Fox News. WJLA-TV7 reported the suspect was also shot.
Authorities were treating the attack as a case of domestic terrorism.
Very possible:
8/16/12 NY Times Editorial:
“While what the accused shooter did might have been wrong, the sole reason for the shooting lies with Chick-A-Fil for it War on Gays.”
Allegedly he did what he did because of what the FRC “stands for”.
Let’s see if the media buries this story.
@Hard Right:
The shooter obviously was bitter and carried a gun. He also carried a Chick-fil-A bag. … one, two, three … adds up to Tea Party!
@Mike O’Malley:
I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to spin it like that.
@Hard Right:
It will have to be some radical spin now:

I found no such editorial comment on the NY times website. Link please.
@Ditto:
Notice the date was 8/16/12, yet he made that post on 8/15/12. He was typing tongue in cheek. 🙂
@Hard Right:
I’m all for sarcasm, It would have been better for Curt to “propose” that “the NY Times Editorial tomorrow might say…” As they no doubt are wont being the twisted leftist spin reporters they are. I spent a bit of time searching for an article where an editorial or columnist tried to forge a tie between FRC and Chick-i-Fil, to read it for myself and back up the statement.
@Ditto:
That information was actually quoted from a comment over at Hot Air.
There’s a link to it in the post.
@Aye:
Yes, I knew that. But knowing the NY Times, it “could” have been true, which is why I tried to find it.
@Ditto:
Sadly, you’re right, it could be true of the NYT.
Every time we think we’ve seen it all, the media pops up with a new surprise for us.
I wasn’t sure if you had seen the link to Hot Air or not.
