A newly obtained email is shedding light on the details and timeline of the bribery scheme President Joe Biden is currently being accused of by a whistleblower. According to The New York Post, the original accusation was sent to the DOJ in October of 2018 by former federal prosecutor Bud Cummins.
In his message to then-US Attorney Geoff Berman, Cummins submitted his allegation that Biden received direct payments with an offer to provide two witnesses corroborating the claim. Shockingly, Berman never even responded.
Bud Cummins, a former federal prosecutor, first reported the bribery allegations to then-New York US Attorney Geoff Berman on Oct. 4, 2018, in an email claiming he had evidence that Joe Biden had “exercised influence to protect” his son’s Ukrainian employer “in exchange for payments to Hunter Biden, Devon Archer, and Joe Biden.”
In the email obtained by John Solomon’s Just The News, Cummins said that Ukraine’s then-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko wanted to travel to the United States to meet Berman, and could produce two “John Doe” witnesses to corroborate his claims about the Bidens.
But Berman never responded to the email.
Cummins was dumbfounded by the lack of engagement. According to the report, he couldn’t understand why the DOJ wouldn’t follow up on such a serious allegation that included an offer of witness testimony. Instead, he says, the DOJ actually flipped the script and did something that looks an awful lot like retaliation for even coming forward.
“I can’t really imagine a legitimate reason for the DOJ not to follow up on an offer like that. I felt like it was stonewalled,” said Cummins, formerly Arkansas’ chief federal prosecutor under President George W. Bush.
“It doesn’t make much sense to investigate the guy who brings you the allegation rather than the allegation,” he said.
Per Cummins, the DOJ accessed his phone records in late 2019 during the run-up to Trump’s first impeachment. Presumably, the department was more worried about trying to catch Cummins in a political operation with the former president than actually investigating whether Joe Biden was part of an illegal scheme selling influence for money. It’s just astonishing when you see it all laid out. Instead of acting in good faith, it looks as if the DOJ wanted to smother the accusations against Biden in the cradle.
But the email doesn’t just clarify what’s being alleged (and we’ll no doubt get more details from House Republicans later on Tuesday) and the DOJ’s derelict response. The revelation of the timeline involved also shows that these allegations existed long before Biden even announced a run for president in 2019. That would negate the idea that it was recently made up out of whole cloth as a way to take down the president politically.
This could expose the corruption of idiot Biden, the Biden Crime Family and the DOJ all in one fell swoop. Whether or not enough people that even care get the information remains to be seen.
All of this has been known by the pretorian guard aka the administrative state.
It is going to get hot, gray some popcorn.
