So the CDC guidance for healthcare workers dealing with Covid patients is to have the patients wearing a mask, and use PPE for themselves, especially masks.

I told greggie the rock and others. I have worked with personal protective devices specifically respiratory devices for nearly 40 years and the masks are not effective in preventing personal exposure to viruses let alone many other occupational health hazards.
@Randy: In the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, some doctors wore a beak-like mask that was filled with aromatic items. The masks were designed to protect them from putrid air, which (according to the now-obsolete miasmatic theory of disease) was seen as the cause of infection. The advice and technology hasnt changed in over 300 years except the bird mask covered the eyes.
If we were serious about masking up, we would be wearing N95s.

It doesn’t matter. The entire “mask” issue is not health related, it is control related. Maxine Waters accused Herman Caine of dying because he was at a Trump rally without a mask, yet old Maxine was recently caught out and about (tah-dah, wait for the drum roll) without a mask. Governor Coonman of Virginia preached and preached about wearing a mask yet the next day, he was at Virginia Beach without a mask taking selfies with other people. Dianne Feinstein wanted to make it federal law that everyone in an airport has to wear a mask but guess what? Yep, precious Dianne was videoed in the airport sans mask.
