Democrats think they knows what unites Americans — the government — and they released a video at the Democratic National Convention making that argument today.
“We do believe you can use government in a good way,” the video says. “Government is the only thing that we all belong to. We’re part of different churches, different clubs, but we’re together as a part of our city or our county or our state — and our nation.”
That’s a very different message from what voters heard at the Republican National Convention from Clint Eastwood. “We own this country,” Eastwood said last week, adding that politicians are just the employees of the American people. “When someone isn’t doing the job, we’ve got to let [him] go,” he also said, in calling for Obama’s defeat this year.
This convention the DNC is putting on…..
Unelected people running for office.
A dead man who is most famous for letting a female passenger in the car drown.
A mayor quite famous for getting caught cheating on his wife and also caught taking freebies from basketball teams illegally.

Uh, no.The government doesn’t own us. We are not chattel or slaves who belong to the government. We are not married or otherwise bound to the government. We are free citizens under the Constitution and we allow the government certain but limited powers.
They work for us. We own the governments, (local, state and national,) and we retained the right to throw them out of office and replace them with new representatives. They are our “at will” employees.
Natural born or naturalized immigrants, what we have in common is that we are all citizens of this great nation.

A while back a Democrat said that Patriotism involves one’s willingness to protest the government’s incorrect stand on an issue.
It’s about standing up for what’s right, rather than allowing an injustice to go unchecked.
It’s about speaking out on an issue when others think you should “just keep quiet.”
America was founded on the principles of “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.”
When the opposing party wants to change that into an equality of outcome.
It actually behooves us to STAY and prevent that.

As such, it’s not a surprise that you prostrate yourself to liberal/progressive ideology. After, of course, you slip the latest fad in shackles upon your ankles.
One has to wonder how the statement, “The Government is the only thing that we all belong to” can be reconciled with Biden’s claim that the Republican’s “Wanna put you all back in chains”.
Kind of confusing, as well, that one of Obama’s favorite Presidents of the past claimed that the government “of the people, by the people, and for the people, shall not perish from the earth” is in direct conflict with the video’s idea that the government is not ours, but rather, we are the government’s.
Confusing. But that’s typical of liberal/progressive rhetoric meant to be swallowed wholesale by our dumbed down electorate.

Merle Haggard’s “The Fightin’ Side Of Me” should be the theme song for the Tea Party, and should be played at every rally. The song should be updated to fit today’s situation. I intend to play it at rallies I go to.
