As I was watching the video, I wondered if George Bush knew about the ban on guns on military bases. I’m guessing he didn’t, or I’m sure he would have voided that executive order.
You have to ask yourself why a president would want troops on military bases not to have guns. With violence around the world increasing, and more countries hating America, and with more countries getting better weapons, you would think that a president would want a military base to be able to defend itself against an attack.
I’m guessing that the guns are kept in very few places, so if the base were attacked, the terrorists would go to those places first, then the rest of the base would be defenseless. The troops might even be shot by their own guns.
As I have asked different times, who’s side do you think obama is on?
Why no guns on military bases: Issue weapons or private? If issue, accountability is a problem. If a soldier’s individual weapon is a rifle, how many magazines does he carry? Written combat load or real-life load? Close to 90 percent of soldiers serve in non-combat MOS and do not receive sufficient weapons training. If you have a rifle or pistol and come upon an active shooting and everybody else has a weapon, whom do you shoot? Just some quick thoughts.

I’m guessing that if guns would be allowed on base, they would be pistols only, and there would be standards to meet. For example, if they are Special Forces, they automatically qualify.
Imagine being trained how to use almost ALL of the guns around the world, having been sent to different places around the world, been in several firefights, then when you return to a military base, you have to surrender your pistol. Thank you Bill Clinton.
