Last week we had exceptional Heat and Flood reports from all over the world and at the same time the Sun went into overdrive with some very powerful Solar Flares. This Solar episode coincided during the same time frame as the Piers Corbyn “Extended Full Moon” period.
This late and higher then normal burst of activity from the Sun was from the 6th to the 9th July. This period was scheduled to be at an R3 level and end on the 7th – 8th July but it was far more powerful and lasted longer as you can see in the above chart.
The Sun was more active then the original forecast made by Piers, and what has followed thereafter is an unusual situation, in that, there is now a Hurricane “powering up” outside the original “R” period, indicating that there was a much higher level of solar influence then just an “R3” going on.
Of course it’s possible, as solar radiation output is consistently variable. High solar flare activity means higher solar radiation levels which can result in higher temperatures being radiated to the planetary bodies. However, when the increased flare activity subsides, the slightly higher absorbed energy will eventually dissipate and the planetary temperatures will stabilize. We know that the solar temperatures fluctuate, rising and dropping and usually also cycling through longer periods. (Resulting in warm periods and ice-ages.) It is also possible that after the flare-ups subside, the solar radiation levels are just as likely to drop slightly, which could result in a cooler fall. We have spacecraft in orbit constantly monitoring solar radiation.
But, this occurrence does not negate the existence of global warming (climate change), as ultra-conservatives would have everyone believe.

True, but only because there is no proof of man-made climate change. Climate change is better know as seasonal weather. You know, hot in the summer, cold in the winter.

@Aqua:Non scientific people do not realize you can not prove a negative! Liberal1 believes that CO2 causes warming when all of the energy to heat the earth comes from the sun. There are very many studies that have been peer reviewed and accepted that the sun is responsible for all warming of the earth. The sky will always be falling for the liberal1s in this world!
Increased atmospheric CO2 levels result in more of the Sun’s radiant energy being retained within the Earth’s biosphere, whatever the level of solar radiant energy might be.
Another significant cause of man-made global warming is the enormous volume of hot air blown off by the political right since Obama was elected.

Look at all of the lefty unintended consequences we all must live with: Hope and change = more poverty and fewer jobs. The war on poverty = the highest percentage of families dependent on the government in our history. Restriction of gun rights = highest murder rates in states with restricted gun ownership. I could go on and on, but I have a 14 hour work day tomorrow and I do not suffer fools like you when I am tired!

And for you Liberals like Liberal1, H2o (water if you can’t follow along) is a thermal insulating gas in its vapor form while CO2 is an inert non-thermal gas. When you decrease the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere you increase the amount of Oxygen content. Currently standing the current air you breath is broken down to this rougly to:
78.08% Nitrogen
20.95% Oxygen (This is an important insulating gas and can fuel fires…)
0.93% Argon gas
.03% CO2 (non-thermal byproduct exhaled by carbon based life, needed for plant photosynthesis.)
0.002% Neon gas.
From fossil records of various insect species, the oxygen content millions of years ago was much higher, roughly in the 35 to 40 percent range to allow much more aggressive species sizes to evolve and fit to the enviroment. Some species got to about 2 feet long, such as the extinct Meganeura due to how rich the atmosphere was in oxygen content. Also, due to the fern fosils connected to the Meganeura there’s an assumption that the average global temperatures for that extinct Species’ era was about 20 degrees higher than what we’re feeling now.
But hey, keep thinking that .03 percent of the atmosphere will cause those changes in climate when our Planet sits in a radioactive soup of x-rays, gamma rays, infrared rays, microwaves and exposed to magnetic storms and various Solar flares from Sol (our sun if you can’t figure out why it’s called Solar System) and the fact the arm of the Milky Way our system rests in will be soaked by comsic radiation as the arm is itself rotating to boot.
And that’s not even talking about the geo-thermal activity that has happened with the planet before the Industrial age. There’s the Little Ice Age and piror to that a major heat wave when there was no major Industry producing Co2. So hmm…

Science is science, period. There is no such thing as science that serves long-term interests of anything, there can only be science. It is either true, or it isn’t. The search for the truth is what science is all about. The search for something that backs up your political ideology is not science.
The CERN experiments disproved every theory Michael Mann and his cohorts posited. Not only that, the CERN experiments were done using the scientific method so others in the field would be able to duplicate their findings and peer review those findings in toto. That is how science works.

You see how he claims that his side, and by extension him, are all that is wonderful and benevolent?
The obvious and ample hatred he displays, is narcissistic rage that we would dare tell him he’s wrong. Cloaking his “religion” in the psuedo-moral high ground allows him to justify his rage, bigotry, and elitism. You see, because we oppose him, the wonderful one, we are evil and therefore it’s ok to treat us any way he sees fit.
As for denial of reality, we see how he not only erases from his mind the contradictory lifestyle of those pushing his religion, but how they have set themselves up to reap massive profits should they get their way. He even projects those qualities onto Republicans.
