(MacIver Institute) – The heated rhetoric and aggressive attitude of some Democratic lawmakers in Wisconsin has surprised many, even revolutionaries, says a leader of the Communist Party USA.

CPUSA Vice Chairman Scott Marshall says he’s never seen such radicalization of legislators. Marshall indicates it’s imperative that the Communist Party USA seize upon the unrest.

This is the America in which I now live. The Kommie party is alive and well. They must seize what is happening in Wisconsin? Pretty scary stuff. I HATE KOMMIES, which by the way includes our president Zero. This guy has got to go or America will. The choice is ours, although more and more I’m beginning to believe it may not be anymore. Look at what happened in November. The Kommie Dems refuse to acknowledge their defeats. Where this ends is not going to be pretty. Pray daily.

The Red Scare of the 1950’s and the John Birch Society rides again.

Crowds of dissatisfied people always draw fringe elements who want to take advantage of any opportunity to further their own agendas. Workers’ rights activism attracts socialists and communists the same way that Tea Party activism attracts right-wing elements that their own mainstream would reject.

Teachers get a “do-over”

Madison teachers who missed school last month to attend protests and turned in fraudulent doctor’s notes have been given until April 15 to rescind those notes, officials said Thursday.

The district received more than 1,000 notes from teachers, human resources director Bob Nadler said. A couple hundred of those were ruled fraudulent because they appeared to be written by doctors at the Capitol protests against Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal to limit collective bargaining.

Teachers who don’t rescind fraudulent notes could receive a disciplinary letter of suspension, the most serious form of discipline aside from termination, Nadler said. The suspension would be considered already served — the time missed during the protests.

… more than 1,000 dishonest teachers in Wisconsin … Winning !!!

@Neo: And we wonder why society is disintegrating. Teachers in Wisconsin are teaching kids that fraud pays and that you can steal from someone and if caught, get a chance to give it back. No harm, no foul.

@Greg:
Sorry to inject truth into your attempt at a lie, but those “fringe elements” run the dem party. They are also the core of it’s support base.

@Hard Right, #6:

No need to apologize, as you haven’t done so.

The lies allowed in the mind set of the average communist or teacher are too many.
Here’s another current example:
High erasure rates have been reported on standardized tests in Washington, D.C., schools.
Now these same high erasure rates are showing up in Georgia’s tests.

There were statistically significant rates of wrong answers changed to right ones on students’ answer sheets.

In one early case uncovered by the Journal-Constitution, a principal and a vice principal in a DeKalb County elementary school resigned after admitting that they had worked together to erase wrong answers on student tests. The principal pleaded guilty to a felony charge of falsifying a state document and was banned from schools for two years.

The U.S. Justice Department last fall began investigating whether Atlanta schools may have committed fraud, the Journal-Constitution reported. A grand jury was examining whether Atlanta schools had qualified for additional federal money by inflating scores.

Lie, lie, lie, lie, lie!

Oh!
And in related news, Obama wants school children to have far fewer tests!

Greg, I don’t expect a propagandist like yourself to tell the truth.
All one has to do is look at dem leadership from the president down thru his administration and the dems in Congress. Then look at who the main campaign supporters of the dems are financially and vote wise. Game, set, match.

There’s a difference between belief and truth.

Wisconsin republicans continue to hold the belief, for example, that Scott Walker’s “Budget Repair Bill” was entirely about restoring fiscal responsibility to the state.

A recently completed Taxpayers’ Alliance analysis of his budget suggests that the truth might be somewhat different. They’ve concluded that the new Walker budget will actually increase Wisconsin’s deficit by 1%. Part of that “accomplishment” will involve the permanent elimination of an estimated 1,200 public service jobs from the Wisconsin economy.

Voters gave House republicans a controlling majority this past election on the promise that they’d make “jobs jobs jobs” the first priority, and serious work on federal deficits a close second. Do you believe they’re doing that? Is the belief different from the truth?

Boehner has rolled out a budget proposal that Moody Analytics predicts will result in the loss of 400,000 jobs from the national economy by the end of 2011, and 700,000 by the end of 2012. That could stall out or actually reverse the strengthening recovery. Meanwhile, they’re delivering only a fraction of their promised budget cuts, and what they’ve given the most attention is the furthering their cultural agenda: Planned Parenthood, NPR, etc. The biggest drivers of the deficit are pretty much ignored entirely.

Propaganda? I guess people can decide for themselves. They can also decide for themselves if every democrat is actually a brainwashed commie, hell-bent on the destruction of the United States of America.

Ah yes, caught shilling for the dems and to have been proven wrong, Greg launches one of his usual off tangent attacks.

If you want to talk about something else Greg, submit the your own thread.

@Greg:

Crowds of dissatisfied people always draw fringe elements who want to take advantage of any opportunity to further their own agendas. Workers’ rights activism attracts socialists and communists the same way that Tea Party activism attracts right-wing elements that their own mainstream would reject.

And the difference is that the TEA Party protests often have the denouncing of those who would use the protest, or march, for their own agenda. Your “Workers’ rights activism” protests encourage those “fringe” elements to join them, which isn’t a surprise since they kinda demand the same thing. More governmental control over people’s lives, more workers on the public dole, and all fiscal sanity be damned.

There’s a difference between belief and truth.

That is true. You present a problem for yourself, though, when you put into evidence ‘beliefs’ about something that hasn’t even come to pass and try to pawn it off as a truth.

A recently completed Taxpayers’ Alliance analysis of his budget suggests that the truth might be somewhat different.

They suggest that it is a truth. They don’t claim it as truth. Big difference.

Boehner has rolled out a budget proposal that Moody Analytics predicts will result in the loss of 400,000 jobs from the national economy by the end of 2011, and 700,000 by the end of 2012.

They predict that it will happen. They don’t state definitively that it will happen. Big difference.

Your “truths” are no more true than what the conservatives are claiming. Since none of it has happened yet, nothing can be deemed to be a truth.

Propaganda? I guess people can decide for themselves. They can also decide for themselves if every democrat is actually a brainwashed commie, hell-bent on the destruction of the United States of America.

Certainly not every democrat could be described that way, but every liberal and progressive could, since they all support Marxist theories as the saviour of the nation, going against the ideals set forth by our founding fathers in the Constitution and the Declaration. Show me one Marxist theory that aligns with maintaining freedoms and liberties.

@johngalt, #12:

The words progressive and liberal have the same list of definitions in any dictionary of the English language you care to examine. You won’t find anything relating to communism or Marxism. The inclusion of any meaning relating to communism or Marxism is unique to the thinking of the far right.

woof….

Let’s see… The Progressive Magazine mission:

The Progressive is a monthly leftwing magazine of investigative reporting, political commentary, cultural coverage, activism, interviews, poetry, and humor. It steadfastly stands against militarism, the concentration of power in corporate hands, and the disenfranchisement of the citizenry. It champions peace, social and economic justice, civil rights, civil liberties, human rights, a preserved environment, and a reinvigorated democracy. Its bedrock values are nonviolence and freedom of speech.

Coincidently, the Socialist Party USA echos the same. When enticing you to join, they say:

When someone joins the Socialist Party, they are also reinforcing their commitment to other movements for social justice. Socialists don’t simply function within their own party, in isolation from the outside world. On the contrary, most Socialists are deeply involved in other larger movements…

Which is probably why one of the “larger movements” they, along with the Democratic Socialists of America, work with is the Progressive Caucus of Congress.

duh….

@Greg:

Actually, Greg, the use of definitions does not accurately apply to the liberal-progressives of today’s modern Democrat Party. They are more in-line with social democracy advocates, who believe a peaceful transition to a socialist government can be achieved without the revolution that Marx proposed as a necessary step in the transition to socialism. So, in that respect, you are correct in claiming that liberal-progressives have nothing relating to Marxism. However, their end goal is still the same. A socialist society where there is no class structure, economic or otherwise, and everything is a utopia on earth.

In general terms, it is acceptable to claim one has communist tendencies, when the actions they propose lead to socialist structures within government or the economy.

There is no magic middle ground where portions of the government or economy follow socialist ideals while others engage in capitalist ventures. The move towards socialist programs is the move towards socialism itself. Communism and Marxism are only adjectives, or adverbs, depending on the word usage, of socialism.

@johngalt, #15:

There is middle ground. It’s the place the nation has been for seventy-some years, where things like affordable education, Social Security, Medicare, and a prosperous and expanding middle class have existed without benefit of magic.

@Greg:

There is middle ground. It’s the place the nation has been for seventy-some years,

No, Greg, it is just part of the journey of our nation, slowly, and inexorably, towards a socialist government. The only reason it has been a slow journey is that conservatives have been fighting against it for those seventy-some years. That you cannot see that isn’t surprising. Blindness isn’t just a condition of sight.

@johngalt, #17:

No, Greg, it is just part of the journey of our nation, slowly, and inexorably, towards a socialist government.

So where are republicans actually taking us, under the guise of small goverment conservativism?

(The linked video, by the way, may very well confirm any thoughts some might have had about Rachel Maddow being the far right’s worst possible nightmare. )

Greg said…..There is middle ground. It’s the place the nation has been for seventy-some years, where things like affordable education, Social Security, Medicare, and a prosperous and expanding middle class have existed without benefit of magic.

Hankster sez…But Greg, there WAS “magic”! Social Security was raided and robbed, to provide all the wonder benefits you champion! and in the Process of replacing that money with IOU’S, because ALL LIBERALS think money flows eternal….well guess what pumpkin, IT DON’T!!! Taxes were used, and diverted to give us an ARTIFICIAL GREAT LIFE!! Well guess what, the BANKER is at the door, and the loan note is DUE and PAYABLE!!! And YOU (the Liberals who left the IOU’s) haven’t the money to pay up!!! The Middle class is IMPLODING now…. because the LIBERAL TEAT is shrinking! You promised TOO MUCH!! And now you can’t deliver!! What the heck do you think the CRA was??? HOME BUYER WELFARE for the POOR! etc etc…. you guys just will never get it…. IT DOESN’T WORK! Look at Europe collapsing as we speak.. they are only a step ahead of us.. and YOU want to keep going in that direction??? Fool…

Margaret thatcher said…..
“The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people’s money to spend”.

Well buster… we’re THERE!!! And….I tend to think she knew a DAMN SIGHT MORE about this, than YOU do! IMHO….
