This testimony wasn’t “proof,” so much as eye/ear witness testimony.
In COURT the case would be “proven” or not, but not during a deposition.
And, yes, how much lower were the standards for conviction when it was mere allegations against President Trump.
Democrats know their representatives are trashy so they expect very little of them. They expect perfection from Republicans though, and even when they come close, Democrats still vilify them.

If I had a half-dead brain and was a Democrat, I would be insulted by how STUPID Democrats think I am. They don’t even TRY to concoct reasonably believable lies; they have so little respect for the intelligence of their voters that they throw the lamest, thinnest, most absurd lies out and expect their voters to accept them.
Sadly, they are rarely wrong.
