Chuck Todd Melts Down When Ron Johnson Tells Him the Media are Simply a Democrat Front Group

Unbelievably, Chuck Todd accuses Ron Johnson of “conspiracy theories” and “quackery” for investigating allegations of election fraud.

Chuck Todd’s very next guest was Stacy Abrams — who, according to her claims (and the assent of the media) is actually the duly-elected Governor of Georgia.

But he didn’t ask her about her own claims of voter fraud.

He just asked her why she didn’t run for Senator, given that she’s clearly such a stellar candidate.

And then he attacked Ron Johnson more.

Jonathan Turley writes:

Napoleon once said “treason is a matter of dates.” The Democrats seem to have taken Napoleon’s words to heart in declaring Republicans traitors or anti-Democratic in their planned challenge the certification of electoral votes next week. Both the media and Democratic members have advanced this narrative despite Democratic members repeatedly raising such challenges in the past. In the few acknowledgments of that history, Democrats seem to be advancing a simple and familiar defense: Trump. Once again, open hypocrisy is negated by Trumpunity. After all, they cannot be anti-Democratic because they are Democrats. That conclusory position was evident in the spin this week on CNN by former California Sen. Barbara Boxer who led such a challenge to the 2004 election results.

In January 2005, Boxer joined former Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones to challenge George W. Bush’s victory over Democratic challenger John Kerry in the state of Ohio. I was working for CBS in that election and shared concerns over the voting irregularities. At the time, Boxer argued that Republicans had engaged in voter suppression that contributed to Bush’s victory. The media and Democratic leadership was highly supportive. Indeed, many who are condemning the challenge today heaped praise on Boxer in 2004. There was no hue and cry in the media over anti-democratic measures and refusing to respect the election results.

For example, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called the current challenge an assault on democracy but, in the 2004 election challenge, she praised Boxer’s challenge as “witnessing Democracy at work. This isn’t as some of our Republican colleagues have referred to it, sadly, as frivolous. This debate is fundamental to our democracy.”

…Now however Democrats are claiming that it is unfair to compare their earlier actions and statements to the present day. As we have seen in other areas, such clearly conflicting positions present little problem for Democratic politicians when they are not being raised or challenged in the media. In today’s siloed media and politics, Democratic voters are largely protected from such counter viewpoints. Boxer’s interview is an example of the light treatment given to such members. She was left largely unchallenged on clearly opportunistic and assailable positions in the CNN interview.

He is right the M.S. Media are nothing but a Democrat Front Group Propagandists for the left with CNN/NYT’s being the worst offenders and Time and Newsweek following in their wake

Now however Democrats are claiming that it is unfair to compare their earlier actions and statements to the present day.

It is the Democrat belief that elections can only be challenged for purely political reasons. Of course, they have never seen voter fraud employed against THEM, so they don’t accept rejecting REAL fraud as a valid reason to question election results.

Todd’s interview with Abrams shows an almost mocking demonstration of bias after being called out by Johnson for such bias.

Democrats (which includes most of the media) rely heavily on the stupidity of their masses. They barely concealed their massive voter fraud, again depending heavily on the lap dog media to cover their corruption up.

For 4 years, they have assailed Trump, promoting every one of the Democrat false conspiracies. They’ve suppressed the news of Trump’s massive successes. They promoted the lies about the epidemic. They failed to vett Biden. They suppressed news of his corruption and incompetence. The lying, corrupt liberal media has brought a gigantic disaster upon our country.

08/03/22 – Sen. Johnson suggests ending Medicare, Social Security as mandatory spending programs

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) has suggested that Social Security and Medicare be eliminated as federal entitlement programs, and that they should instead become programs approved by Congress on an annual basis as discretionary spending.

Those who work in the United States pay Social Security and Medicare taxes that go into federal trust funds. Upon retirement, based on a person’s lifetime earnings and other factors, a retiree is eligible to receive monthly Social Security payments. Similarly, Medicare is the federal health insurance program that kicks in for people 65 and older, or for others who have disabilities.

In an interview that aired Tuesday on “The Regular Joe Show” podcast, Johnson, who is seeking a third term in the Senate, lamented that the Social Security and Medicare programs automatically grant benefits to those who meet the qualifications — that is, to those who had been paying into the system over their working life.

“If you qualify for the entitlement, you just get it no matter what the cost,” Johnson said. “And our problem in this country is that more than 70 percent of our federal budget, of our federal spending, is all mandatory spending. It’s on automatic pilot. It never — you just don’t do proper oversight. You don’t get in there and fix the programs going bankrupt. It’s just on automatic pilot.”

Johnson suggested that Social Security and Medicare be transformed into programs whose budgets are appropriated by Congress on an annual basis. He pointed out that budgets for the Defense and Veterans Affairs departments are approved as discretionary spending.

“What we ought to be doing is we ought to turn everything into discretionary spending so it’s all evaluated so that we can fix problems or fix programs that are broken, that are going to be going bankrupt,” Johnson said. “As long as things are on automatic pilot, we just continue to pile up debt.”

So, they could take your money for 50 years, at the end of which time they could decide to pay you little or nothing.

Interestingly, they raise unholy hell whenever anyone suggests means testing for entitlement to benefits.

You’ve been warned what the GOP might do, by the GOP itself. Take that thought with you when you go to your polling place in November.

@greg
The problem is both are not sustainable. SS was never meant to payout for decades. It was constructed to payout for months and then the receiver dies. At one time the ratio of paying in to paying out was about 340 to 1. Now it’s around 2.5 to 1. The money today’s wage earners pay into SS is sent right back out to current recipients. One could call it a government Ponzi scheme. That so called trust fund is a group of non-marketable bonds. In simpler terms they are IOU’s. There is no real money in the trust fund, it’s been spent. The SS trustees put out a yearly report and it’s a warning and an alarm bell virtually no one is paying attention to.
The cowards on capital hill all know it’s not sustainable without changes and the longer they wait the harder it will be. Ron Johnson is just floating ideas. It’s what we pay them to do. He at least has the guts to put it out there. Where are the Democrats on this? It needs addressing ASAP. Instead they are too busy spending another 3.8 trillion dollars, that we don’t have, on new IRS agents, green energy boondoggles, (Solyndra part 2 coming up) and fake inflation reduction bills.

You of course have assumed your usual position of grabbing your ankles.

They are already doing that greggie. Omy a village idiot cannot see that!
