Tony Lee:

The traffic scandal that has engulfed Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie may strengthen the prospects of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who has always been the default candidate for the GOP establishment and Wall Street.

In November, Politico reported that prominent donors believed that there was a “30 percent chance” Bush would run for the presidency in 2016, and that was “up from closer to zero just a few months ago.”

Reportedly, there was “growing chatter in elite New York financial circles that” Bush would give “more serious consideration” to making a run if “it appears at any point that Christie is not drawing big national appeal beyond the northeast.”

After Christie fired two of his closest aides this week upon revelations that they ordered the closing of lanes on the George Washington Bridge last year, the odds of Bush getting into the race may get better.

Ken Langone, the co-founder of Home Depot who has backed Christie, said this week that he believed Christie would not have trouble raising money from Wall Street in the so-called “invisible primary,” even after “Bridgegate.”

@Ditto: Thanks for that excellent input Ditto -Doo- wap was great-one form I’d add–blue grass.
Favorite bands Stones, Beattles,Bob Seeger,Tom Petty,Eagles,Cream– HALL OF FAME Orbison,Buddy Holly,Bob Dylan.
Music diplomacy. lol
Your thoughts on movies?

Hey RW, what do you think of this:

Shock: Oprah, Tom Hanks, Robert Redford were all shut out of this year’s Oscars.

Ain’t it Great!

@Ditto:

Do you mix politics and music?

Never.

I don’t usually have to because the political singers usually sing the type music I don’t like anyhow. For example: Springsteen, Streisand. I listened to the Dixie Chicks on country stations before they made their stupid political statements, now they’re not played on country stations anymore, so I don’t listen to them.

I love the sound of a saxophone, Caribbean steel drums, bells and chimes, a well played synthesizer or acoustic guitar solo.

I do also. The piano sound of piano players such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Mickey Gilley are great.

@Richard Wheeler: How about Segar?

@Richard Wheeler:

I left out Jethro Tull as another favorite band.

Regarding movies: I like Action, Sci-fi, Fantasy and combinations of the three, Comedies, Animated films, Historical based, most of the classics and most Westerns. Sports related films are not generally my cup of tea, but there are exceptions. I’m not that wild about chick flicks, but I have taken my wife to a few she wanted me to see with her. I study films, not just for the story but also to appreciate the filmography techniques and I will watch foreign and independent films to a certain degree. Political stereotype characters are one thing, but political preachy films will make me walk-out and demand a refund, esp. when they do it to a supposed historical based film and when they resort to revisionist history. I pay my money at the theater to be entertained, not to be lectured to or propagandized.

@Redteam: Redford’s movie is supposed to be one of his best.
12 Years a Slave will win best picture. American Hustle excellent.
Leo nom. best actor–my pick Mat McConaughey.

Actually Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. Great R and R for 40+years–
Pete Seeger great folk singer.
Segar ??

@Richard Wheeler: Bob Seger is the correct one. Great voice.

Redford’s movie is supposed to be one of his best.

That’s what I heard. I’m sure his politics kept him off the nominee lists, I’ll watch it on directv.

@Redteam: You say Redford’s politics kept him from being nominated?? When did he become a Conservative? Hollywood Nights Against The Wind Turn The Page lol

@Richard Wheeler:

Hollywood Nights Against The Wind Turn The Page

that’s over my head, need an interpreter.

When did he become a Conservative?

mmmmm……….

@Redteam: 3 great Bob Seger songs
Ditto Great Sax in many Seger songs.
Caribbean steel drums—yeah

@Richard Wheeler:

my pick Mat McConaughey

saw the first chapter of ‘True Detective’, hope it gets better, very strange.

@Richard Wheeler:

3 great Bob Seger songs

Oh, he has several others also, Like a Rock.

@Redteam: True Detective set in La. Matt’s Texas drawl must help him.
Redford blames lack of monies spent to distribute his movie,for cross the board Oscar snubs.

Been watching Gate’s interviews. Very impressive guy. I’ll definitely read his book.

I’m unclear how you can possibly deny their funding. It really is a fact. And MediaMattter, like em or hate em, a Fox News critic, has archives of links and actual clips of Fox being favorable to the movement. Surely you don’t deny the these fundings are real or that Fox News hasn’t benefited the movement? And as one who helped launch the TP in your area, surely you’re aware of how Freedomworks and American For Prosperity played a huge role as well as where their funding came from? This isn’t secret stuff.

But aside from my reasons of not fancying to the Tea Party, a TP candidate isn’t likely to take the WH because their views aren’t consistent with main stream or working Americans. And I’ll gladly argue my rationale but we’ve actually seen the decline of TP support from polls as well as the 2012 elections.

Thanks for the polite and constructive rebuttal.

@Ronald J. Ward:
Opps, the above comment was mistakenly posted to the wrong blog (pulled up the wrong window).

the TEA PARTY IS THE BEST THING THAT HAPPENED TO AMERICA,
NO ONE CAN TOUCH THEM, they are the PATRIOTS ON GUARD FOR AMERICA AND THE LAWS OF THE LAND’S THE CONSTITUTION, THE BILL OF RIGHT, THE COMMERCE CLAUSE,
to attack them is to attack AMERICA,
the government is strong on the UNIONS,
THEY LOOK AFTEF EACH OTHER”S BACK,
AND THE TEAPARTY IS STRONG ON THE CITIZENS,
THEY LOOK AFTER THE CITIZENS’S BACK

@Ronald J. Ward:

or that Fox News hasn’t benefited the movement?

let me see. Conservatives 1 (Fox) Libs 7, (CBS,NBC,ABC,MSNBC,CNN,CNBC,AP) Yes it’s easy to see how the Repubs are benefiting from the media.

but we’ve actually seen the decline of TP support from polls as well as the 2012 elections.

well, that strategy is working, nobody was concerned with them before the 10 elections either.

@ilovebeeswarzone: AMEN, BEES

This is animated, but it’s very neat to watch:

The RNC has released a straw poll with 32 possible GOP candidates on it. You can vote for three there is also a place for write-in candidates. (Perhaps if enough Conservatives and TEA Party people respond the RNC might realize what candidates rank and file Republicans really support.)

@Redteam: As mentioned above, that was accidentally posted in the wrong forum.

You have already proven, on many occasions, to be incapable of an intelligent or even a coherent rebuttal.

Accordingly, trying to rationalize with you would be akin to discussing advanced calculus with a tree frog or perhaps, attempting to establish communication with a trash can.

Ronald J. Ward
it depend on the trash can ,you have brainless trash cans,
no one is interesting to communicate with,
OUR OWN TRASH CANS ARE THINKING SMART ONE, THANK’S TO THE TECKNOLOGY,
WE HERE ADVANCE WITH IT,

@Ronald J. Ward:

akin to discussing advanced calculus with a tree frog

I can discuss advanced calculus with you, if you’d like. Or are you a tree frog?

attempting to establish communication with a trash can.

Just curious, how many times have you attempted communicating with a trash can? Did it work out well with you?
