I’m not a fan of trying to create barriers to who can vote. If you’re an American citizen of legal age and not a convicted felon whose rights haven’t been restored, you can vote. Otherwise, you can’t.
Seems simple, right?
Especially when, historically, barriers created to prevent voting were created really to manipulate voting.
Yet there are some people who are so colossally stupid that maybe, just maybe, there should be an exception, because people who post this BS vote. They shouldn’t.
It’s not a good one, but it’s a take.
Let’s get into all the stupidity there is to behold in this.
To hear the meme creator tell it, the reason we have high prices is that “a” CEO of a company wanted more profit, so they raised prices, and there not only weren’t any negative repercussions but literally every other CEO out there did the exact same thing at the same time.
Now, if they conspired to do this, that would seem to be an anti-trust violation and would be a crime. Considering how bad things are, if there were any evidence of this, the FBI would be knocking down doors, shooting CEOs dogs, the whole shebang.
Especially as Vice President Kamala Harris could claim credit for cracking down on the evil CEOs.
That’s not happening.
It’s not happening because it’s absolute idiocy to think that’s what’s happening. Even people who take a leftist view of economics should be able to see through the burning stupid on this one.
Especially as there’s no evidence of collusion by all these CEOs.
First, if this was just about greedy CEOs, why wouldn’t at least one of them decide not to play the game? After all, if everyone raises their prices, the one guy who doesn’t is likely to rack up massive market share as people look for lower-cost alternatives.
He’d make more money for his company—and his compensation, most likely—by doing nothing while everyone else cut their own throats.
Yet up and down the market, everyone has raised prices and by roughly the same amount. That’s either a reaction to outside forces or collusion, which again, we don’t even have a hint that it’s taking place.
See, the truth is that they can’t accept that inflation is real.
More accurately, they don’t want you to accept that inflation is real. They may or may not believe it themselves, but all of this really is about what you accept.
They want you to be as stupid as they are.
Of course, to be fair, in a lot of cases, it’s not stupidity. It’s gaslighting.
See, they know it’s BS. They know that the prices rose in reaction to the massive supply of money in circulation, making our dollars worth less, and prices reacted accordingly.
But if they acknowledge that it’s happening, they have to take responsibility for it. Sure, it may have started under Trump and his pandemic stimulus plan, but they had more than three years to correct it and they’ve done nothing at all.
If you realize that, you’re going to be pissed at them. They can’t have that because it’s 2024. It’s an election year and they need Harris to win so they can hold onto power. Every time a Democrat wins, they act like they’re going to hold onto power forever, and they’re more than willing to lie to make that so.
The price of fuel and raised wages have costs skyrocketing a leftover of Bidenomics.
Democrats understand absolutely nothing about economics. For every issue, their one and only answer is TAXES. Trump’s tax cuts INCREASED revenues, so the fact that there was a deficit leaves only one possibility for the actual problem: SPENDING. Too much unnecessary and wasteful spending.
Democrats don’t understand that increasing corporate taxes goes directly upon the consumer. They don’t understand that since most small businesses file as individuals, “taxing the wealthy” is a tax on small businesses, what Kamala Hamas claims to want to “help”. Their unrealized gains taxes will drive more businesses away, taking jobs with them. Democrats don’t realize that everyone else has the same ability to avoid these stupid and onerous taxes as THEY do.
