California judge puts carbon market on hold

A California judge ruled on Friday that state air regulators must halt the implementation of a cap-and-trade scheme until they examine alternatives to emissions trading to meet the state’s aggressive greenhouse gas reduction targets.

San Francisco Superior Court Judge Ernest Goldsmith said in a decision that the California Air Resources Board (ARB) should “take no action” to implement its cap-and-trade plans until it completes an analysis of other greenhouse gas reduction policy alternatives.

By the time they get the alternatives studied, they will finally realize that green house gases are not the issue. Someone in CA is looking out for tax payers.

There were a few other stupid CA ideas already scrapped, before this one.
They wanted all car tops white.
They wanted all roof tops white.

My city just outlawed grocery store plastic bags!
Either bring your own reusables or they will force you to pack your car w/o bags!
And we have also lost one lane on many streets so a bike lane can sit empty.
Oh! Joy of needless gridlock!
