Going out on a limb, I am willing to suggest that the terms “vandal and vandalism,” come from the name given to the people who occupied a region of North Africa and adjacent areas beyond, around the 4th and 5th centuries ACE: folks who are considered to have played a significant role in the sacking and decline of the Western Roman Empire.
I have never researched the Vandals, but from generic reading over decades past, I can say with assurance, they had a good run after they captured Carthage, until their defeat by the Byzantine Empire under Justinian I. I do not know how wrecklessly agressive or violent they were but if thier name is as promoted, it is more than appropriate to describe these domestic terrorists walking through the capitol and across the country targeting and terorizing people for no reason other than them driving a vehicle that they do not like because of the person whose company produced it.
Yes, this is domestic terrorism. Employing violence or threats of violence to further political agendas is terrorism. The irony is that the herd that push these responses claims it is to save democracy. I have yet to hear a rational, logical argument explaining how “burning a Tesla” saves democracy.
Leftists have been making quite a name for themselves and the Democratic Party by attacking Tesla drivers for the ‘thought crime’ of driving a car associated with Elon Musk. Imagine attacking someone for saving you money; insane. Are these folks this crazy? Are they getting paid for these ridiculous crimes? We’ve seen bullets fired, Molotov cocktails thrown, and now a bomb planted at a Tesla dealership in Austin. These efforts resemble actions implemented by Marxist Socialists more than anything done to save democracy.
I say this with a limited understanding of socialism, for what I know beyond the historical record came from my reading of a comically frightening allegory critiquing the Soviet model of socialism and totalitarianism written by George Orwell called Animal Farm and Ludwig von Mises’s ‘Socialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysis.’
Published in the early 1920s, Mises argues that socialism is inherently flawed because it eliminates private ownership of the means of production, which in turn destroys the ability to engage in economic calculation. He posits that in a socialist system, since there are no market prices for capital goods, central planners cannot determine how to allocate resources efficiently. Without price signals, rational economic planning is impossible. This lack of a profit motive and competition in socialism leads to bureaucratic inefficiency, resource misallocation, and stagnation.
Socialism, according to Mises’s view, leads to authoritarianism, because in order to implement the economic system, the state must exert increasing control over individuals’ lives, eroding liberty. This, in his view, made Marxist theory, particularly the labor theory of value and historical materialism, unscientific and illogical.
Now, I am aware there are other views on Socialism, but I am unwilling to speak on what I have not read. I have wanted to read Milton Friedman’s Capitalism and Freedom, and I remain hopeful I will live long enough to read it one day. But to keep it a thow-wow, I have not had the tiniest of desire to read Thomas Piketty’s Capital in the Twenty-First Century or Bhaskar Sunkara’s (the founder of Jacobin magazine) ‘‘The Socialist Manifesto,’ and probably never will.

But, back to this vandalism and other overtly violent and destructive behavior displayed just to show one disagrees with a particular policy. Imagine attacking someone for saving you money or deporting criminal illegal aliens. I see all kinds of Teslas in my area, but then again no nobody is stupid enough where I live to do anything to them because of our state’s concealed and constitutional carry laws.
People work hard for what THEY want and have. Whether one likes, or doesn’t like Elon, it doesn’t give people the right to destroy /damage what’s not theirs, or call them Nazi’s. Porsche was in prison for war crimes committed in WW II, but I don’t see anyone getting mad at Porsche, fire-bombing their dealerships, or keying vehicles owned by citizens.
One has to be very brave to abuse cars that can’t fight back. Such behavior shows how psycho these people are. Vandalizing people’s cars they don’t even know. They’re gonna pick the wrong Tesla owner eventually and end up taking the room temperature challenge.
Calling these protests and forms of vandalism is disingenuous. This is not vandalism. This is politically motivated domestic terrorism and should be treated as such. The Tesla service center in Las Vegas was torched, in one episode in a string of Left-wing domestic terrorism targeting Tesla charging stations, dealers, and owners. A pregnant woman driving a Tesla in Vancouver was struck by a 2-pound rock thrown through her windshield, seriously injuring her, leaving police to figure out if it was intentional or an accident.
So, for those of you who are engaging in such behavior, is there any part of you that asks, ‘ If I’m damaging property, maybe I’m not on the right side of this issue?’
Have you noticed how all these people are similar? So nice to see the sheep still following what their leaders instruct them to. Just like leading a bunch of lambs to slaughter. I’m not trying to be nasty, but many look like they need a good wash. What they are doing is so childish. Grown adults acting like angry children, easily manipulated by the media. What exactly is Tesla doing to make these random people so angry? Imagine being a middle-aged man having to explain to your family why you are in jail for keying a Tesla. They remind me of children having a meltdown in the store because they want a toy, but Pops says no, you cannot have it.
How these criminals think they could get away with these crimes is delusional. Do you think it is possible that these people don’t know these cars have cameras? Beyond that, if you step out of your front door and go anywhere, you’re most likely being filmed. These people are truly ignorant, ducking down to hide from the public only to provide a better view of their face for the camera.

Democrats pick the most bizarre hills to die on, and again, it’s the same people — the pro-Hamas, BLM, and climate heretics. Now, it is “Bring back MS-13 or Tren de Aragua” and “MS-13 and Tren de Aragua Lives Matter.” Destroy, destroy, and destroy. No other tactics, no conversations, no rational thought, just destroy and burn. The pattern is clear. Keying a random person’s car because you don’t like who owns the company that manufactured the car, makes you an asshole and you should have your life ruined – and please let them get the maximum punishment.
Driving “downtown” in any liberal city was generally a bad idea even before this latest anti-Tesla craze. Having your windows broken or being hit by an uninsured driver on drugs was always a big risk. Now, folks have to worry about cats easily triggered and always needing a safe space, keying your vehicle. Just can’t figure out why these mental patients are out walking among us.
Plus, these idiots are too old to commit stupid crimes and too old to be filled with so much hate. To hate someone who’s uncovering fraud, waste, and abuse on everyone’s behalf makes no sense. Typically, they are dudes in their 40s and 50s with the emotional control of a wild animal. No higher thoughts, merely a slave to whatever he feels in the moment. What is more comical is that these people think they’re accomplishing something.

And the hate, why? Musk is the overlord of innovation—haters can gag on their bitterness. SpaceX is a galactic titan, landing rockets like a boss and making space travel a reality while doubters sob, and Neuralink needs no explanation. This man’s genius is untouchable—Starlink is a global game. Elon’s too busy rewriting the universe’s rules. Cry all you want, losers—he’s the greatest visionary alive, and you’re just dust under his rocket boosters. All you can do in comparison is key vehicles that don’t give a flying flip about your feelings.
I don’t live in an urban blue city but rather in the rural country where people, for the most part, respect each other’s property even if it is not their own. The same is true regarding respect for other people and other people’s views and political affiliation — even if they are not their own. This concept is foreign to anyone who thinks in anger. Anger will make you stupid because you don’t think rationally when you are mad. Frankly. I haven’t seen the Democrats this angry since Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery.
Let me explain what these activists would experience if they came to rural South Georgia, where small country folk own these Teslas. I see Teslas around here, and I promise you, if you keep somebody’s Tesla in a parking lot around here and that country boys gonna take you out to the pasture, you probably ain’t coming back without an ambulance.
Ignorance and stupidity go hand in hand, and ignorance is not an excuse. Anyone caught vandalizing a Tesla or charging stations for Tesla cars, or dealerships should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They deserve years in prison for vandalism and their low IQ.
We have to accept the reality that people are different; some are smart, some are average, and some are stupid. These people are in the last group and are the people who want to watch it all burn. They exist and stay on their sofa waiting for any veiled reason to cause mayhem. These cats should’ve stayed out of politics, like the guy from Vegas, who is facing up to 20 years. Not only did he “vandalize a Tesla,” he is also charged with 3 counts of arson, 4 counts of property damage, possession of explosive devices, and discharging a firearm into a Tesla dealership. Now, as the others, he suffers the consequences and is crying like a baby about it, so up to 20 years sounds fair to me.
