Breaking: FTC Chairman Joe Simmons Says He’s Prepared to Break Up Far Left Big Tech Firms

In November 2018 The Guardian reported on  group of Google employees who published an open letter calling on their employer to cancel its plans to build a censored search engine for China.  This was the latest expression of worker unrest at a company that earlier in 2018 saw thousands stage walkouts over its handling of sexual misconduct cases.

The Google employees were very upset that Google’s Project Dragonfly would allow the Chinese government to blacklist certain search terms.  The employees said,  “Many of us accepted employment at Google with the company’s values in mind…  After a year of disappointments … we no longer believe this is the case.”

Just months later it is now obvious that Google, Facebook and Twitter are using their own blacklists of prominent conservatives and their supporters.

If you search Google for prominent conservative voices including: Mike Cernovich, Joe diGenova, Jack Posobiec or Gateway Pundit you will see hit pieces and biased attacks.  The Gateway Pundit is one of the largest, most accurate and most influential publishers in the country today.  In the last month if you search Google for “Gateway Pundit” the first item that it pulls up is a pdf of Jim Hoft’s speech to Congress.  The line item says: “Gateway Pundit – Congressman Steve King”. It is a pdf! We have written hundreds of stories that changed the media narrative in the US and this pdf is the first item the pops up?  Most likely it is because some Google jack*ss wanted to link us to Republican Rep. King who the left has smeared as a racist.

You have to go to the fifth item before you can even find a link to our website.

If you are on Facebook You may have noticed you no longer get to choose what you will see or read. Facebook makes that decision for you today. Facebook eliminated over one billion page views to conservative websites after the 2016 election. So if you no longer see articles from your favorite conservative publishers there’s a reason for that.

And thanks to Allum Bokhari at Breitbart News we also know that Facebook has compiled a “hate agents list” of prominent pages to eliminate traffic to the pages. The list includes Candace Owens and Brigitte Gabriel, two popular and prominent conservatives. There is no telling how many more conservatives are on the list but surely it is in the hundreds.

Twitter also has its blacklists to shadow-ban or eliminates prominent conservative voices including President Trump.

In July 2018 we reported that a study by the leftist website VICE News found that Twitter is censoring top pro-Trump lawmakers.   Twitter is targeting pro-Trump Republican lawmakers Matt Gaetz, Devin Nunes, Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan and John Ratcliffe with the same shadowbanning technique.

Twitter is also censoring prominent pro-Trump accounts including: Mike Cernovich, Jack Posobiec, Paul Joseph Watson, TGP’s Jim Hoft, TGP’s Cassandra Fairbanks and Laura Loomer among others.

The tech giants are already implementing their Chinese tested blacklists to eliminate conservative voices online.  It’s a good thing for them that there is no Republican who really gives a damn about this enough to take any action.  Soon it will be too late to reverse this trend.

The Trump administration has repeatedly promised to take action against these far left villains.

On Tuesday the FTC Chairman Joe Simons said that breaking up these powerful far left tech companies may be the right remedy to rein them in and restore competition.
This is long overdue.

The left cannot survive having a light shown on them. They have to have liberal media outlets lying for them and now social media has to censor conservative voices or else more people will realize the fact of the lying media “fake news”.

Bust em up. They are trying to destroy the nation.

Maybe the FTC should consider breaking up Koch Industries, given that it’s behind so much phony grass-roots political activism and so many disinformation campaigns intended to further the agenda of their $100 billion per year corporate empire. Koch Industries’ revenues are greater than those of Facebook, Goldman Sachs and U.S. Steel combined. Of course Trump hates the Kochs, so they can’t be all bad.

‘Kochland’: How The Koch Brothers Changed U.S. Corporate And Political Power

@Greg: What monopoly of Koch industries would you see broken up? manufacturing, refining, and distribution of petroleum, chemicals, energy, fiber, intermediates and polymers, minerals, fertilizers, pulp and paper, chemical technology equipment, ranching, finance, commodities trading, and investing. Sounds like they employ many middle class people.
How about no government grants no provided to any of George Soros associated anti-American activist organizations?

@kitt, #3:

Sounds like they employ many middle class people.

Koch Industries doesn’t create, it acquires. Koch Industries is a capital investment operation. It’s buys industries that employ people.

Koch has invested enormous amounts in in the acquisition of political influence, which is then used to create a regulatory environment that’s as favorable as possible to their own money-making activities. That can include things like diminishing the power of unions that represent the interests of the people their acquired industries employ, or rolling back environmental standards that reduced their profits. Real wages and employee benefits have not kept pace with the growth of corporate and investor profits. Far from.

What’s best for the nation’s billionaires isn’t necessarily what’s best for the nation as a whole.

@Greg: Takes a bit more than that to impress me what monopoly do you want to break up? They invested and have political clout, did we bail their companies out after shitty business practices like GM, or the banking industry? Which unions have the busted? Where have they destroyed the environment?
Thirteen Koch sites comprising 311,000 acres have earned Wildlife Habitat Council Certification for commitment to habitat conservation and environmental education. Most recently, the headquarters in Wichita, Kansas, earned Silver Certification for conservation efforts undertaken at the campus.
Salaries at Koch Industries, Inc. range from an average of $53,042 to $120,659 a year. Koch Industries, Inc. employees with the job title Regulatory Affairs Director make the most with an average annual salary of $172,043, while employees with the title Administrative Assistant make the least with an average annual salary of $41,970.

@kitt, #5:

How would going after Google, Facebook or Twitter because of their promotion of left leaning views be any more justifiable than going after Koch Industries or FOX because of their promotion of right leaning views? Doing either would be a politically motivated misuse of the official powers of public office.

Which doesn’t mean Trump won’t think he can get away with it. He has openly misused his power of office in such fashion to prevent an examination of his tax returns, when there’s every reason to suspect his family is taking advantage of the influence of his office for personal gain.

August 13, 2019 – Trump Jr. Kicks Off Sale of Luxury Condos in Indonesian Projects

Tanoesoedibjo said he had been in talks with potential Chinese backers for financing the theme park that will be built near to the Trump-branded properties in Lido, but no deal had been done. “There is no financing from China,” he said.

Trump Jr. said the theme park had nothing to do with the Trump Organization. “My father is not at all involved, and he wouldn’t make decisions that affect the country based on a real estate deal,” he said.

And we’re supposed to believe all of that simply because Donald Jr said it? Already, we’ve only got their word for it that there are no Russian investments in Trump’s various projects. It has remained that way because Donald Sr has used his power of office to prevent anyone from checking.

Nice picture of Donald Jr and Tanoesoedibjo—another billionaire politician. There’s that thumbs-up secret squirrel recognition sign again.

@Greg: The Koch brothers are not censoring anyone else’s opinions, so there is no need for the FTC to get involved with them. They aren’t abusing their power, as Facebook, Twitter, Google and Amazon do.

How would going after Google, Facebook or Twitter because of their promotion of left leaning views be any more justifiable than going after Koch Industries or FOX because of their promotion of right leaning views?

Them supporting liberal views is not the issue. What the issue is them suppressing any other view.

So, since you pivot to attacking someone NOT in the social media or communications business that happens NOT to be liberal, apparently you are OK with censoring of just one particular point of view. Well, that is not a surprising liberal view since the left supports all the requisite police state behavior; political violence, using the justice system to attack political opponents and censorship of political views.

Oh, and without a credible legal need, you are NOT going to get to see Trump’s income taxes. Constitution and stuff.

@Deplorable Me:

So, since you pivot to attacking someone NOT in the social media or communications business that happens NOT to be liberal, apparently you are OK with censoring of just one particular point of view.

Of course Greggie Goebbels did that. That is his m.o. Left wingers, like Greggie Goebbels, play a hard shell game. “No, no, don’t look there. Look over here.”

Remember when I posted the testimony of Dr. Robert Epstein? Like the trained Pavlov’s dog he is, here comes Greggie Goebbels trying to discredit Dr. Epstein (Epstein is a Democrat who voted for Hillary). Greggie Goebbels is willing to eat his own all in the name of the Party good (don’t confuse leftist Party good with the good of the people, they are not one and the same).

Greggie’s only purpose in life seems to be a protagonist for the radical left wing. Winning, by any and all means possible, is fine with him as long as it is his side winning. Now the Democrats are threatening the USSC to either stay out of a New York firearms case or risk being reconstructed by the Democrats once they hold total power.

@Deplorable Me: @retire05: Greg picked the lefts biggest boogymen its hilarious to ask him a simple straight forward question and watch for his reaction.
No the Kochs dont own any monopolies, they are businessmen, unlike other billionaires they dont get billions in taxpayer money bailouts for their operations that have supported hundreds of thousands of middle class families.
While the Technocrat companies are intentionally trying to sway elections through mass media manipulation, Supression, de-platform, attack financially and its gone on for years.
A big reason they think they were going to win big in 2016, algorithims, artificially manipulating searches.
He is ok with CIA ops being in Media open Operation Mockingbird. The prostitution for scoops from the FBI, nothing to see there.

@Deplorable Me, #7:

The Koch brothers are not censoring anyone else’s opinions, so there is no need for the FTC to get involved with them.

Facebook isn’t a publicly funded corporation.

Who wanted corporations to be given the same constitutional rights as a person?

Who cheered the Citizens United decision that paved the way for unlimited corporate spending on efforts to influence public opinion and the outcome of elections?

Who saw to it that the Fairness Doctrine was repealed?

Who was that overturned net neutrality, asserting that selective corporate control of information over the internet had no implications for freedom of speech and the press?

If Koch Industries can do as they wish, so can corporations such as Facebook and Twitter. Twitter could shut off Trump’s stream of b.s. if they wished. It’s their service, not the government’s. What’s he going to do? Nationalize Twitter by executive order?

If this guy thinks the people and organizations he has defamed and attacked are bound to play nice when he does not, he’s in for a rude awakening. They can cease providing him with a means of promoting his reality TV show. If he wants to get his b.s. out, let him buy cable time.

@Greg: Koch is not in the social media business, either.

Groups closely associated with Charles Koch’s enormous political network pledged over $400 million to conservative candidates for their 2018 midterm campaigns. They don’t have to own social media outlets. They can buy plenty of social media influence with that sort of money.

@Greg:

Ah, and here comes Pavlov’s dog again saying:

Who wanted corporations to be given the same constitutional rights as a person?

Wait, are you saying that corporations, unlike unions, are personless?

Who cheered the Citizens United decision that paved the way for unlimited corporate spending on efforts to influence public opinion and the outcome of elections?

OK, let’s take a look a how much money just some of those (personless) unions spent in the 2015-2016 campaign season:

https://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/toppacs.php?Type=C&pac=L&cycle=2016

The left had a lock on donations from unions who spent big bucks to get Democrats elected. Citizens United changed the playing field and made it level.

Unlike billionaire-headed multi-corporate conglomerates, unions actually are people. Their goals are to obtain better pay, benefits, and working conditions for the people they represent.

Inside the Koch Family’s 60-Year Anti-Union Campaign That Gave Us Janus

@Greg:

Unlike billionaire-headed multi-corporate conglomerates, unions actually are people.

But union leaders, who dole out the campaign contributions, does not actually represent the actual desires of all the members, whose money he is giving away.

@Greg:

Unlike billionaire-headed multi-corporate conglomerates, unions actually are people. Their goals are to obtain better pay, benefits, and working conditions for the people they represent.

Yeah, right.

Let’s talk about the CWA which I am quite familiar with. Thirty years of union dues got their members zip when they retired. Thirty years of 95-97% of the CWA’s money going to Democrats only so that after 30 years of “union” negotiated retirement benefits, all that went down the drain with Obamacare. If you “like your health care, you can keep your health care; if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor:” only for Obama to give a sweetheart deal to companies like AT&T that they were no longer bound by those contracts and retirees lost their medical benefits.

Where do the unions get their money, Greggie Goebbels? FROM UNION MEMBER DUES. And the president of CWA, raking in his almost 1/2 million $$$ a year, and the officers, gave that money to Democrats that cheated retirees out of the benefits those retirees had negotiated for in lieu of wage increases.

How about the American Federation of Teachers? Wanna talk about them? AFT gave 98% of their money to the Democrats while the AFT president knocks down 1/2 mil a year.

You don’t know what the hell you are talking about. All you can do is parrot left wing talking points.

@retire05, #16:

Where do the unions get their money, Greggie Goebbels?

It’s not my party that promotes some of the same b.s. the Nazis did, nor my presidential candidate whose first wife said he kept an English translation of My New Order in a bedside cabinet. So maybe you should lay off the Greggie Goebbels.

@Greg:

It’s not my party that promotes some of the same b.s. the Nazis did,

Really? Universal health care, free education, gun control. All Nazi policies.

And it gets even worse; abolition of minor races via abortion, another Nazi policy.

Yeah, it’s you party and you are its Goebbels.

@Greg:

It’s not my party that promotes some of the same b.s. the Nazis did

Indeed it is. Democrats are getting closer and closer to the very essence of Nazism, including fascist violence. That’s why they are always quick to accuse anyone else of being a Nazi; projection.

@Greg: Its the democrats that have the billionaires backing https://www.politico.com/story/2015/01/blue-billionaires-on-top-114151
Most of them do not produce a single physical product, or have unionized employees.
Facebook sells its users data, the user is the product, gives suspensions to those with wrong think (anything right of Mao)

@Greg:

It’s not my party that promotes some of the same b.s. the Nazis did

See Antifa, and correct yourself.

Glad to see Greggie Goebbels finally got to you, troll.

Who do you work for?

Tell us…

From a 1990 Vanity Fair article about Donald Trump, written three decades before anyone had a political motive for telling false tales…

Last April, perhaps in a surge of Czech nationalism, Ivana Trump told her lawyer Michael Kennedy that from time to time her husband reads a book of Hitler’s collected speeches, My New Order, which he keeps in a cabinet by his bed. Kennedy now guards a copy of My New Order in a closet at his office, as if it were a grenade. Hitler’s speeches, from his earliest days up through the Phony War of 1939, reveal his extraordinary ability as a master propagandist.

“Did your cousin John give you the Hitler speeches?” I asked Trump.

Trump hesitated. “Who told you that?”

“I don’t remember,” I said.

“Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.” (“I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”)

Later, Trump returned to this subject. “If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them.”

Is Ivana trying to convince her friends and lawyer that Trump is a crypto-Nazi? Trump is no reader or history buff. Perhaps his possession of Hitler’s speeches merely indicates an interest in Hitler’s genius at propaganda. The Führer often described his defeats at Stalingrad and in North Africa as great victories. Trump continues to endow his diminishing world with significance as well. “There’s nobody that has the cash flow that I have,” he told The Wall Street Journal long after he knew better. “I want to be king of cash.”

@Nathan Blue:

See Antifa, and correct yourself.

And Nadler. And Cummings. And Pelosi. And Schumer. And the liberal media. And Comey. And Brennan. And Obama. And Clapper. Between them all they could comprise a Nazi operation.

@Greg:

How would going after Google, Facebook or Twitter because of their promotion of left leaning views be any more justifiable than going after Koch Industries or FOX because of their promotion of right leaning views?

Because Google et al were found to secure millions of votes for Hillary by way of biased search results, censorship, and sculpting public opinion, as found by a registered Democrat researcher to Congress.

Fox and Koch don’t have the same power. Fox is one right news agency against a legion of left-leaners. You merely are saying right-leaning news should be completely destroyed, which reaffirms the assertion that the Left owns the media and is winning votes and spreading hate by way of disinformation.

The Left owns most of the media, and leftist groups are committing the vast majority of violence and hate crimes against minorities and the “other”.

Also, you and your party like to bring in Fox to dodge the point: Google/Twitter/Facebook are not news agencies, they are information networks. They are so powerful and can do much. There is no, NO tech company with their pull that leans right.

Using FOX as the usual foil is pathetic.

@Nathan Blue, #24:

Because Google et al were found to secure millions of votes for Hillary by way of biased search results, censorship, and sculpting public opinion, as found by a registered Democrat researcher to Congress.

What do you think FOX News and Koch-supported congressional pressure campaigns do? And they don’t bother to warn people of possible distortion of the facts in the information they deliver.

Google/Twitter/Facebook are not news agencies, they are information networks.

Tell that to the people who respond to Trump’s tweets like a dog to their master’s whistle, and who promoted the false news stories Russian trolls posted on Facebook to manipulate public opinion before the 2016 election.

How long did it take Trump’s slanderous tweet about Clinton being complicit in Epstein’s death to hit every corner of the right’s echo chamber? What is injected there seems to enter the brains of his followers instantaneously and completely unchallenged. The Trump cult doesn’t just have an efficient information network. They’ve got a damn mind-control system. And they’d like to silence any competing messaging.

Trump is following Hitler’s blueprint a lot closer than his followers are willing to admit. It’s a recognizable pattern. The agenda has nothing to do with traditional conservative values, genuine Christian values, or traditional American values.

@Greg: Every survey done show Fox splitting coverage 50/50 as well as favorable/unfavorable. The liberal media, on the other hand, pushed Obama over Hillary and then, of course, Hillary over Trump.

@Greg: The Kochs dont like Trump so how can their influence help him? Silicon valley actively censors access to any alternative to MSM, Shadow bans conservatives and suspends anyone that has a conservative voice. How in comparison so the Kochs silence those they disagree with? https://therightscoop.com/so-the-koch-brothers-dont-like-donald-trump-at-all
Its all ready been proven they slant the algorithims, why do you insist on behaving ignorant?
What slanderous tweet are you talking about?Please cut and paste.

@Greg: Guess you finally understand how the Left has been operating for decades, and can’t take those same tactics finally being used effectively by non-Liberals

Trump is not conservative, Christian, or traditional.

That’s why he won.

Trump is not conservative, Christian, or traditional.

He’s an effing lunatic , playing to an audience that believes reality TV is actual reality.

Sanity is a tradition I generally approve of. This man has no business holding any public office, let alone the presidency, as a majority of Americans who voted in 2016 fully understand.

@Greg: There is no reason to get overly hyper, Trump is not a lunatic, he has non-traditional non-political means of getting things done. This can be shocking to those used to being talked to sweetly then getting stabbed in the back, only to be told it wasnt their knife.
Trump will slap you in the chops and be quite open as to why.
Wheres that tweet?
So delusional, you cant even provide the tweet can you?
He has zero incentive to try to please the Democrats or MSM. No matter what he does or says it is spun into something horrid.

@Greg:

He’s an effing lunatic , playing to an audience that believes reality TV is actual reality.

If a lunatic is someone that makes promises and keeps them and puts the United States before all other concerns, give me the lunatic. All your choices have been criminals or ideologues that want to weaken America.

@Greg:

Trump is following Hitler’s blueprint a lot closer than his followers are willing to admit

Please explain how your twisted mind came to that conclusion.

This should be interesting considering how mentally deranged you are.

@retire05: Employing ANTIFA to use political violence and intimidation to try and silence opposition and a widespread propaganda apparatus is more akin to the Hitler model than being the target of it.

@Greg:

playing to an audience that believes reality TV is actual reality.

Sounds more like Obama: the true reality president. Slow-jamming on SNL doesn’t seem so smart now. Wonder if that lady ever got all her needs taken care of by her vote. Nah…now she’s employed, though…thanks to Trump. Better.

But yeah…blah blah blah…he’s crazy. Keep repeating that. In the face of such an effective president, that’s all you and your party got.

His voting base isn’t white supremacist rednecks, despite the Dems reliance on painting any Republican in that way.

Seems to me the Leftist extremist bozos are committing all the violence, mainly because of the false propaganda you and your losing party keep spreading.

We of the non-Leftist stripe are standing firm in disallowing the violent, hateful Left from killing more people with their indoctrination and flat out lies.

You and you party see Trump’s imminent reelection, and you’re getting more desperate, violent, and crazy.
