Now that leftwingers are being targeted by political violence, I think it’s going to be time to talk about “cooling the rhetoric” of Trump and all conservatives again.
Note that during the previous spates of violence, including ricin threats and baseball parks being shot up, there was no talk by the media of the need for Democrats (including those in the media) to “cool” their own rhetoric, such as “people will die” if Republican Proposal X is passed.
In fact, CNN personnel went out of their way to excuse leftwing violence. Chris Cuomo asserted that not all punches were equal — Antifa punches were better than conservative punches — and Don Lemon celebrated the restaurant mobbing of Republicans. Brooke Baldwin argued passionately that Democrat mobs were not mobs, and to say an angry, intimidating mob was a mob was a “Republican talking point.”
But now — oh, how things will change today. We will have many hours of moral instruction from our Ruling Caste about how now it’s time to start tone-policing, and that tone-policing will begin, and end, with telling Republicans they have to stop making political arguments or else People Will Die.
Jake Tapper… had on an “expert” — Josh Campbell, I think — who asserted that catching the actual bomber was only the beginning of the case. He said we had to catch whatever man’s “toxic” rhetoric “inspired” the bomb-maker.
Jake Tapper nodded sagely.
They’re already building the case that, no matter who it really was, It Was Trump.
“CLEARLY AN ACT OF TERROR,” Declares Bill DiBlasio. Gee, that’s funny, because in other clear cases of terror, our professional liars tell us it’s not really terrorism because either the motive cannot be absolutely known or it’s just a lone individual (or several lone individuals) with “no known overseas connections.”
I guess we don’t care about overseas connections in cases where we’re not trying to play down Islamic terrorism, huh? Now we’re employing the actual definition of terrorism — violence or threat of violence to achieve some political goal — rather than the FBI’s make-it-up-as-you-go-for-Islamic-or-leftwing-attacks definition, which requires absolute proof of a political motive and overseas planning or direction.

I agree fully that this is not a false flag operation. Most false flags, like false reporting of hate crimes, basically require no work or risk to achieve. In most cases, false “hate crime” reports aren’t even made to police, but just posted on social media or to college administrators or the like. There’s no such crime as making a false report to twitter or a college diversity officer.
In this case, even if these are nonworking not-really-bombs, they’re intended to look like bombs, and this took effort, and this will get you jail time just the same as they were real bombs.
However, I can say these things without resorting to Shapiro’s typical nasty, censorious Hall Monitor style, calling out conservatives as “crazies” and “wacko-birds” and Hobbits.
Note that while he’s busy #OwningTheCons by calling them deranged and evil right now, a couple of weeks ago he was scolding cons for #OwningTheLibs and demanding more “civility.”
What is going on with the FBI FISA investigation? Lots of these bombs or suspicious packages, its a damn #me too movement. Are resources needed to find who is funding the caravan being diverted?

They were all packaged in a way that made it obvious that there were bombs (real or fake) in there, the exact opposite of what someone would do if they intended to blow someone up. Soros’s son had an almost immediate response in the NYT blaming Trump etc. Time will tell unless of course this turns into another Las Vegas.

No details yet. Unconfirmed reports say there were two addressed to her—one to Maryland, and another to her Los Angeles office.
@Deplorable Me: Notice how this came along right around when the “blue wave” indicators seem to be waning? Perhaps the “Jobs not mobs” slogan is resonating with voters. The demokrats got what they wanted- a distraction. The markets dropped and now they have a talking point with ZERO evidence to back up their claim. This may have very well been a conservative who decided to give the left a dose of their own medicine in response to the 600 plus documented attacks by demokrats on conservatives/Trump supporters that the MSM and demokrats encouraged. It could also be: a false flag created by the left; an apolitical jokester having “fun”, or a foreign terrorist. If it does happen to be anything other than a conservative, the MSM and dems will continue to push the Trump is responsible lie just like “Hands up don’t shoot” and “Russiagate”.
What I’ve noticed is that the false flag claims quickly began bouncing around the right-wing echo chamber after being rapidly launched from multiple sources. I suspect there’s probably a real bomb-building nut case out there.
I’m calling the bomb sent to CNN as fake, based on the photo I’ve seen.

You don’t put a timer on a mail bomb.
You don’t have one wire going to each end of a pipe bomb.
And the display on the timer looks like the plastic overlay of an unsold clock. I doubt if it’s even turned on.

The “threat” is so “real” that Hillary went right ahead with her little money-making rabble-rousing party without any significant worries. Actually, you might.
You might want a bomb built to detonate upon being opened to become armed and motion sensitive only after passing through mechanical sorting and post marking processes, which could otherwise result in a premature detonation. An arming timer would be a simple solution.
Then there’s the matter of the as yet unidentified white powder packed with the CNN bomb. If it were anthrax, ricin, or some other highly toxic chemical, the explosive might be intended as nothing more than a instantaneous dispersal mechanism. It might then be set for a detonation at some point after the estimated delivery time.
I’m not saying either is the case, but both are definitely possibilities. It would all depend on the sophistication of the builder’s thinking.
It appears all of these “bombs” sent to lefties are hoaxes.
Who would do that?
Those on the right are being accused of “equivalence” in violence even tho they rarely resort to retaliation, much less start the violence.
So why would someone on the right give the left ammo to call those on the right violent?
Stands to more reason that someone on the left got tired of waiting for violence from the right and made a pretend act that hurt no one.
But, it could have been a looney-tune from either side.
Hopefully this will be solved before the Midterm election.

Now DiNero has received one. Seems anyone that has made threats or vicious slurs against Trump is receiving the packages, including so-called “entertainers”. Will Griffin be next? Peter Fonda? Madonna? The list is extensive.

Those are all possibilities that should occur to anyone who thinks through an assertion that there’s no reason for a timer in a mail bomb. There very well could be a reason.
Fortunately law enforcement personnel with expertise in the area will think of even more of them. Arming timers are hardly a new idea. Which isn’t to say that’s what we have here.
