Talk about a coup:

Former UN Ambassador John Bolton, known for his fearless defense of American interests, has just endorsed Gov. Mitt Romney in the Republican presidential primary.

Speaking to host Greta van Susteren on Fox News’s On the Record, Bolton gave his support to Romney’s assertive foreign policy–one of the few areas in which Romney’s positions have contrasted clearly with those of President Barack Obama.

To bad Bolton did not take time to check out how Romney governed when he was governor.

@Zelsdorf Ragshaft III: I think you can assume that Bolton checked out Romney’s record. Inasfar as Massachusetts doesn’t really have a foreign policy, I don’t really see the relevance.

That is about as smart a remark as one would expect from a brick. Romney governed as a liberal in a liberal state. His claim to be a consevative is just that, a claim. No facts in evidence to prove his case. Judging by Romney’s business record, if it does not benefit the U.S. financially they will be cut loose. I am talking about allies such as Israel. Romney claims to be a Christian. His actions at Bain indicate his is not the same kind of Christian I am.

Seems Conservatives like Bolton and Tea Party favorites like Haley are lining up behind Romney. For all intents and purposes this race is over.

Time will tell. Gingrich is more in line with what South Carolina goes for than Romney. If Romney gets a win in SC, he may be on his way. We will see what we will see. Romney is a north eastern liberal rich guy. That don’t buy much in the south.

@Zelsdorf Ragshaft III:
“…..in the South.”
I guess there are so many ”snow birds” in the South that it is NOT really ”the South,” anymore.
A new telephone survey of Likely Florida Republican Primary Voters finds Mitt Romney earns 41% of their vote in the upcoming Florida primary.
Newt is next with 19%
Santorum 3rd with 15%
Paul next with 9%
Huntsman with 5%
Perry 2%
Other 1%
Not yet decided 8%

Is South Carolina any exception?
High Times magazine reported that College Lodge (dorm) in Charleston is one of the most drug affiliated dorms in the U.S.
In general, Charleston, Hilton Head and Spartanburg, South Carolina are all havens for liberals.
Oddly, many of the North’s liberals move south because of high taxes then immediately begin complaining that gov’t services are not plentiful enough.
