Applying Bush/Katrina rules to Obama/Sandy

Mike gamecock DeVine @ Unified Patriots:

Rule #1: If Shepard Smith and Anderson Cooper can get a microphone and cameraman in front of a Hurricane victim, then FEMA should have already had them back in a dry home with electricity and cable TV.

As of Noon on Day Three after Hurricane Sandy’s landfall, the  death toll stands at 55 and over four million residents remain without electric power. All this, despite the fact that President Barack Obama and his non-Brownie-led Federal Emergency Management Agency had a week to prepare for this natural disaster. Moreover, much of the damage in New Jersey was caused by a levee break, despite the fact that Obama’s Stimulus bill was passed over three years ago.

Americans are suffering, and many of them are white; which raises the question: Does President Obama not care about white people.

Then-Senator Barack Obama in 2007, after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans and much of the Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama Gulf Coast:

“The people down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much!” Obama shouts in the video, which was shot in June of 2007 at Hampton University in Virginia. By contrast, survivors of Sept. 11 and Hurricane Andrew received generous amounts of aid, Obama explains. The reason? Unlike residents of majority-black New Orleans, the federal government considers those victims “part of the American family.”

The racially charged and at times angry speech undermines Obama’s carefully-crafted image as a leader eager to build bridges between ethnic groups. For nearly 40 minutes, using an accent he almost never adopts in public, Obama describes a racist, zero-sum society, in which the white majority profits by exploiting black America. The mostly black audience shouts in agreement. The effect is closer to an Al Sharpton rally than a conventional campaign event.

“The federal response after Katrina was similar to the response we saw after the riots in LA,” he thunders from the podium. “People in Washington, they wake up, they’re surprised: ‘There’s poverty in our midst! Folks are frustrated! Black people angry!…’

Obama went on to claim that President Bush and Republicans in Congress had refused to waive a federal law requiring matching state funds before federal aid could be expedited. He lied. In fact, President Bush had already signed a bill passed by the GOP Congress that waived the Stafford Act, and Senator Obama voted against it!

But not to worry, unlike his successor, this President will not merely fly over the damaged terrain. Rather, he will bring his entourage into the Garden State. No word on whether the Secret Service will deliver aid to the homeless hookers that usually frequent the Boardwalk.

Why weren’t those killed by Sandy evacuated by the Obama Administration? Why hadn’t the levee been made impregnable against a category one hurricane? After all, CNN and Fox News are able to power their equipment.

Obama must be pleased.
People in the Sandy zone are having to line up for gasoline in lines miles long.
One man said they all just agreed to turn off their cars/trucks and line up with a couple of gallon cans rather than waste gas while in those lines!
Isn’t Obama getting what he wanted?
Energy prices are skyrocketing and energy products (electricity, gasoline, heating oil) are scarce.

I just thought I’d leave an example of John Galt’s claim that Romney use of ’embellishments’: Romney’s campaign staff went out and bought $5000 worth of canned and bottled goods the embellish his photo-ops of him accepting these gifts from his supporters.

Don’t be a dump-n-run coward.

I haven’t seen any such Romney photo-ops. I guess they forgot to send them out. On the other hand, how much did Obama’s Campaign give?

Did Obama’s campaign give any aid at all?

All I saw from the President was another Obama speech, with a concerned Gov. Cristie behind, (no doubt the Gov. knowing the the President control’s the Disaster Relief purse-strings).

I bet that MITT ROMNEY will do a lot of help for those people who are desperate to get help, he will actionate all the resources to focus on fixing the disaster as fast as possible, he will actionate AIR SUPPORT TO GET FOOD AND CLOTHING TO THOSE WAITING THERE AND LADDER SO THEY CAN GO ON THE ROOF TO PICK UP THE GOODS, he will actionate the engenering core of the military even if he has to get them all out of AFGHANISTAN TO HELP AMERICA,
FOR NOW THE THING IS TO GET MITT ROMNEY THERE , VOTE HIM IN AND YOU WILL SEE ACTION
on a scale you have never contemplate before,
get OBAMA UNDER WHERE HE CANNOT DO ANY FAIL DECISIONS TO SINK YOU MORE THAN HELP
IT’S BECOMING LIKE THE GREAT DEPRESSION TO SEE THE PEOPLE WITH THEIR RED CONTAINER WAITING FOR HOURS,
SICKENING TO ALLOW THAT TO HAPPEN,
THEY ARE NOT USING THE RESOURCE THEY HAVE AT THE WHITE HOUSE, WHY.

Give it a rest. We’ve already established you’re brain dead, quit trying to prove it.

@ilovebeeswarzone: bees, you are right. Romney is a man accustomed to giving. Obama is a man accustomed to taking.
Did you write the post (very good) or just link to it?

Redteam
I did write it, only from what I feel in my heart for those who suffer,
it break my heart to see that proud PEOPLE being humiliate to such low rank,
this from the nature destructives power, but I know there is something that can be done and refused,
just read this line I just picked up from another post just now ago,
A TEAM FROM ALABAMA ARRIVED TO GIVE HELP TO STATEN ISLAND SOME ARE ELECTRICIEN
REFUSE BY THE UNION GUY BECAUSE THEY DON’T BELONG TO A UNION, THEY HAD TO TURN BACK
ONE OTHER UNION GUY
SAID IT WAS ONLY THAT OTHER GUY, OH YA? BUT IT REFLECT THAT THE UNIONS ARE DELAYING THE PROCESS TO HELP,
HOW’S THAT FOR DIRT BAG UNION.
