Remember the Grim Milestones, the daily updates on how many Americans were killed in the War on Terror under Bush?
And how the Grim Milestones disappeared completely under Obama — even though three times as many servicemen were killed in Afghanistan under Obama as under Bush?
Only sixty three Americans have died in Afghanistan under Trump — but you’re probably hearing that for the first time, right? (I know it’s the first time I heard it.)

The Dallas Morning News would provide that just before Christmas, to REALLY drive the point home. After Obama was President, I was putting away Christmas decorations and ran across part of the paper I used to wrap ornaments that had the death notifications. I checked back and, SURPRISE!, the DMN had stopped printing it. Seems the names of the honorable dead were only good to them for embarrassing Bush. Under Obama, they were just forgotten.
How about the total catastrophe we were going to see in Syria if we pulled our troops out there? How many generals resigned over that? Gee… looks like Trump was right.
While Trump’s kids were spreading peace in the Middle East, what has Biden’s kids been doing? Well, Hunter was spreading coke on hookers and Ashley is getting arrested for drugs and obstructing police. I wonder which father is a better person and role model?
President Trump got us out of bad multilateral treaties whereby we got the stick end of the lollipop. He replaced them with individual treaties whereby we did fair deals with partners one-on-one.
Now, he’s doing the same sort of thing for Mideast peace.
By going one-on-one, the Trump Administration can focus on what each Mideast country really needs/wants for a peace deal with Israel.
No more insistence that “the Zionist Entity” be destroyed.
As a result these deals are all way better for Israel, but they are also better for each of the countries that makes a deal with Israel.
It’s the art of the deal, folks.
Expect more countries to sign up for individual treaties with Israel over time.
@Nan G: Let’s give Obama credit where credit is due. Had he not coddled Iran, snuggled up to them and financed their terrorism and nuclear activities for years to come, the rest of the region would not finally see the threat to themselves and the world radical, terroristic Iran is and see a unified front against them as their best chance of survival. Quite possibly, without Obama’s ineptitude and weakness, these deals might not be being made.
