The feckless Karen Bass on Tuesday called for a curfew after several days of rioting, looting and vandalism. She should have done it after the first day. Bass is now asking for help cleaning up from the riots she claimed weren’t happening.
Gavin Newsom sought an injunction to halt Trump’s efforts at shutting down the violence and continue his promised deportations, but Newsom was rejected by the courts. Things in LA might have been different had Newsom spent this much energy stopping the violence instead trying to stop Trump from stopping the violence. Newsom once called out the Guard “just in case.”
Gavin Newsom had no problem deploying 1,000 National Guard members to the California State Capitol in 2021, just in case there was an “insurrection” in Sacramento.

Sen Chris Murphy (D-CT) complained about Trump intervening in the LA riots so he called for more nationwide protests so he can whine about those as well.
