The White House Correspondents Association held its annual self-congratulation party recently. Absent this year, however, were the President and the usual frivolities.
The cavernous Washington Hilton ballroom for this year’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner was still filled, despite no POTUS on the bill, no comedian, and few administration figures or members of Congress drawing attention in the crowd.
“I’m told that we’re the entertainment for the evening, so this is what you get,” quipped BBC News’ Anthony Zurcher, one of the evening’s honorees.
What did take place, was a kind of collective mea culpa. The topic of the evening was the cognitive decline of Joe Biden and why it wasn’t made the issue it should have been, and that is the real problem.
NBC’s Kristin Welker blamed the White House
“President Biden’s decline and its coverup by the people around him is a reminder that every White House regardless of party is capable of deception… We, myself included, missed a lot of this story and some people trust us less because of it.”

Axios’ Alex Thompson also soft-peddled it, putting the blame primarily on the White House. Then he said
“Being truth tellers means we tell the truth about ourselves. “We, myself included, missed a lot of the story.”

Thompson even teamed up with another font of disinformation – Jake Tapper- to decry the White House coverup in a book.
It would be gross negligence to call this disingenuous. It’s complete bullsh*t. They didn’t miss it. They participated in the coverup. For anyone to swallow their assertions now one would have to engage in what’s needed for movies and TV shows. It’s called willing suspension of disbelief. The term was originated by Samuel Taylor Coleridge

The Cambridge dictionary defines it this way:
the act of behaving as if you believe that what you are seeing, hearing, or reading is real or true, although you know that it is not.
In the case of the left-wing press, this is the most appropriate definition:
Suspension of disbelief is the willingness of a reader to ignore critical thinking in order to enjoy a story.
That best describes the road taken by the liberal press- ignore your eyes, your ears and your mind in order to prop up the narrative given to you by the political party you favor. Another book could be written about this episode (apologies to Has Christian Anderson) – “The Emperor Has No Mind.”
It wasn’t missed. They knew the truth. The alternative to that is to believe the left-wing media is galactically stupid. I fquestion Biden’s mental soundness back in November of 2020.
What neither Collins nor CNN nor anyone else in the left wing media will do is ask Joe Biden a complex or deep question. Because they know he can’t handle it. It is a recognition of Biden’s obvious cognitive deficit.

The left wing press not only won’t ruffle Biden’s mental feathers, they will protect them. Biden is their guy, no matter how much damage he would do to the country. They’re invested in him.
This is like watching Maduro’s press in Venezuela or Pravda in Russia. CBS, MSNBC, ABC, CNN are state media.
They know that Biden is a doddering old cognitively impaired man and his possible Presidency is truly a danger to this country- a genuine national security risk. He is not capable of carrying out the duties required, which brings up a giant question-

From 10am to 4pm, Biden is dependably engaged — and many of his public events in front of cameras are held within those hours.
I do not think they all that stupid. I do believe they so deeply hate Trump and Republicans they were more than willing to lie for Biden and participate in the coverup.
This isn’t a small thing. It is not a small scandal. It is one of the biggest stories in the last several decades. America was being controlled by some unelected person or cabal and the media is still not asking the right questions nor digging.
Who was in control?
Who made the decisions?
Who ran the autopen?
Their continuing dereliction is indicative of their continuing future deceit. The only major network not shilling for President Dementia was Fox News.
Congress should be holding hearings on this right now. Nevertheless, one thing has become even more clear and it is now axiomatic:
No matter how much you hate the press, it’s not enough.
And you absolutely cannot trust anything they say. Trust in the media is at an all-time low.
Outside of Fox News, it should be at zero.
