Can Somebody Please Explain Jasmine Crockett?

Usually when you see a title like the one in this post it means the author will build up to make a case and offer his or her explanation at the end. That’s not the case here – it’s a genuine question on my part. Jasmine Crockett seems to be getting pushed as the next rising star in the Democrat Party, and for the life of me I can’t understand why. For those of you fortunate enough to have no idea who I’m talking about, a week ago Dr. John saved me a lot of legwork by summarizing exactly who she is and what she’s been saying. I highly recommend you read it.

It’s no secret that The Democrats are in complete disarray right now. The party has no defined leader, the Democrat brand is polling somewhere in the depths of the popularity of skin rash and Nickelback. The party that always had a corner on the young & stupid vote has completely turned away young men, and the lunatic fringe has seized enough power that their Senate Majority Leader had to cancel his planned book tour out of fear of heckling if not violence from his own party’s zealots. And what crime did The Lizard King Chuck Schumer commit? (Checks notes) – Ah. yes. He cooperated with a President who has the mandate of a 509-18 Electoral College landslide and wouldn’t shut down the government over failure to pass a budget. You get the idea.

One problem that Democrats have is that their lack of good policy requires a strong emotional contact with either some messianic figure or an Emmanuel Goldstein for them to hate, preferably both to galvanize their base. On the messianic side, Barry O back in 2008 is an obvious example. His phenomena is a separate post in itself, but The Radical Left has never been able to find a successor. Attempts to anoint Hillary, RBG, or even that malevolent imp Fauci failed. My own political memory goes back far enough to how the media romanticized the young Boomers moving up in the Clinton Gore 1992 campaign. On the other side, Democrats never had any trouble finding someone to hate. Whoever was the Republican President or presidential candidate was an easy hate, and during lulls in GOP leadership Rush was always an easy hate for them. Nowadays with Trump Derangement Syndrome fading into Trump fatigue, the Dems seamlessly slid into hatred for a South African businessman. Ah yes, there’s nothing like Democrat hatred for any African American who dares to run away from the Democrat plantation. In 150 years they haven’t changed a bit.

Which takes us back to Crockett – why? The Dems have been flailing for a new leader ever since Biden’s* slide into dementia and Coupmala’s spectacular flameout in 2024. Who do they have? The decrepit Pelosi? The unhinged Al Green? Any rabid members of The Squad? How about Fauxcahontas? Or Gavin “Nero” Newsom? If you read Dr. John’s piece you can see how Crockett is trying to culturally appropriate Ghetto Trash as her persona. The video at the end of his post you can see that she’s perfectly capable of articulating like an adult. What could be the appeal of a trashier, dumber version of Gulag Barbie? The best explanation I can come up with is that Dems are trying to shore up the black vote that’s been slowly peeling away to Republicans. But if this is how they’re doing it it’s an incredibly offensive and condescending way to do it. That’s the best I can come up with, and I admit it’s not a good one. If you’ve got something better I’d love to hear it in the comments.

You missed Julia Spiegel.

Of course, dems won’t put a white woman (with a cringe Jewish last name) as their visible front person.
It has to be a puppet, like Crockett.
Just like Kamala, Jasmine can be the front while white people run the dems from behind.

Nice catch! it’s not a question of who’s pulling the strings – that’s a given. It just amazes me how a party that thrived on how much better it was at messaging than us Normals has become so incompetent at communication. Of course, option for the 20 side of every 80/20 issue doesn’t help

You mean another Maxine Waters? Maxine doesn’t even live in her district but it is OK for her! Funnels money to her daughter so she doesn’t have to work.

The reason Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers had to hire the actor Barry Soetoro to play Barak Obama was that the black community is not able to produce such a figure, so they had to manufacture one. The reason Obama has so quickly disappeared from the conversation is that he was always just an actor playing a role. The show ended and he left the stage. Like a typecast actor, he can only play this role and no one has much interest in the character, so he has sunk into obscurity.

Like Obama, she is not what she seems.
Supposedly, her act will pull in black voters who had left the dem party and voted for Trump.
Somehow I doubt that will work.
Her crowd seems to be black gov’t workers.
They were 97% for dems anyway, so she’s not helping.
