Clusterf**k in California: a DEIsaster in the making

California is currently basking in the glow of its DEI and progressive policies. Oh wait, that glow is coming from some hot embers. It is nearly impossible to believe the level of hubris mixed with stupidity, incompetence that led up this tragedy.

The DEIsaster the country is seeing now has been years in the making. California has a wannabe movie star cum Presidential aspirant as Governor. LA has a lesbian fire chief who believes diversity is more important than saving lives, an obese man-hating lesbian DEI bureau head who won’t save a man if she can’t carry him, an overpaid water chief who doesn’t know what’s going on, a county bent more interested in DEI than in safety and a mayor who seems illiterate. Let’s have a look at the ship of fools.

Karen Bass

LA Mayor Karen Bass cut the LAFD budget by $17 million a few months before this conflagration. Upon her return from her vacation in Ghana during the fire, she directed the citizens to find help at an interesting website:

Kristin Crowley

LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley says her main focus is diversity (as opposed to making sure there was enough water):

LA County

While Los Angeles officials were stripping millions in funding from their fire department ahead of one of the most destructive wildfires in state history, hundreds of thousands of dollars were allocated to fund programs such as a “Gay Men’s Chorus” and housing for the transgender homeless.

Deadly fires erupted across Southern California this week, which were amplified by fierce winds that resulted in about 10,000 homes and businesses being destroyed. After fire hydrants weren’t producing water and homes burned to the ground, residents began calling out Democratic-led leadership in the state, who cut the Los Angeles Fire Department’s (LAFD) funding by $17.6 million just months prior.

But even as the department funding was being pulled back, a Fox News Digital review of the L.A. County budget uncovered thousands of taxpayer dollars that were allocated to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and programs giving syringes to the homeless.

The Pacific Palisades reservoir was empty

A large reservoir in Pacific Palisades that is part of the Los Angeles water supply system was out of commission when a ferocious wildfire destroyed thousands of homes and other structures nearby, the Los Angeles Times found.

Officials said that the Santa Ynez Reservoir had been closed since about February for repairs to its cover, leaving a 117-million-gallon water storage complex empty in the heart of the Palisades for nearly a year.

Janisse Quiñones

Los Angeles’ water chief reportedly knew about an empty reservoir and broken fire hydrants months before the deadly wildfires now spreading across the city that have left some communities in ashes.

The Daily Mail reports the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (DWP) CEO Janisse Quiñones was hired by Mayor Karen Bass on a $750,000 salary in May.

Now, LA Fire Department insiders are blaming Quiñones for a nearby reservoir disconnection and broken fire hydrants, the outlet reports, claiming this has led to firefighters running out of water.

The Mail reports that Quiñones’ past employer was linked to fire scandals. Quiñones previously held a top executive role at electric company PG&E. The company previously went bankrupt over liability for several California wildfires, the outlet reports.

Gavin Newsom

A decade ago, Californians voted to spend billions on improving their water situation to no avail.

Gavin Newsom was confident the LAFD had more money than it needed.

A review of last year’s California state budget shows California Gov. Gavin Newsom cut funding for wildfire and forest resilience by more than $100 million.

The budget, signed in June and covering the 2024-25 fiscal year, eliminated $101 million from seven “wildfire and forest resilience” programs, according to a report from Newsweek.

In December, Newsom convened a special legislative session to “Trump-proof” California:

A democrat assemblyman didn’t want to talk about it

Democratic State Assemblyman Robert Rivas of California refused to answer questions about the timing of a special session to allocate $25 million for the state to combat President-elect Donald Trump’s second administration Thursday.

Wildfires have devastated multiple Los Angeles-area jurisdictions, leaving at least five people dead and destroying hundreds of buildings.

KCRA-TV reporter Ashley Zavala asked Rivas whether the timing of the special session to increase resources for legal battles with the incoming Trump administration was appropriate.

“So, um, I’m here to address this, this, you know, these, these… wildfires. This is a historic… wildfire. This is a historic event, these wildfires, as I mention, are quite possibly going to be some of the worst wildfires and disasters in the state in… history,” Rivas said.

Newsom also claimed that California has no water shortage.

Now that he’s exposed for the arrogant ass he is, Newsom doesn’t want to politicize the wildfires, and he wants Trump around. Note how he cannot help sneering and smirking.

Biden

Biden mocks the notion that hydrants ran out of water

Fact Check:

Why hydrants ran dry as firefighters battled California’s deadly fires

Some have suggested that this is the end of Gavin Newsom’s political career. I’m not so sure. He is a slimy, smarmy, smug sh*thead, but I doubt that the people of Los Angeles have enough common sense to rid themselves of him.

Trump warned Newsom about forest management in 2018

Of course, Newsom ignored it. This isn’t California’s first wildfire, but they just keep refusing to learn from the past.  They’re claiming the fires are due to climate change. Let’s say for the sake of argument that it’s a fact. Why haven’t they taken the appropriate steps to protect LA from it alleged effects already instead of just whining about it?

Part of me would love the following scenario: Newsom Trump-proofed California, so Trump should say “You’re on your own, you Trump-proofed your state so I am unable to assistance.”

Another part of me wants Trump to treat California the way Biden has treated Maui, East Palestine and North Carolina.

But he won’t. Trump will do the right thing.

Last question- how many of those LA firetrucks are EVs?

The scale and scope of the incompetence and evil of the bureaucracy and politicians of California is demonstrated by the tens of buillions spent on the useless train to nowhere that serves no one. Yet the environmentalists have destroyed numerous damns while borrowing billions to erect new ones. Yet not one damn nor reservoir has been built since 1974. The Democrats have cut almost 18 million last year and were about to cut 5o million from this year’s proposed budget. We have all seen their DEI personnel in action. What’s worse is they fired hundreds of qualified personnel for refusing the death jab. In their place unqualified personnel have been hired. Equipment has been sent to the Ukraine. This is on top of forestry procedures that insured fires would occur. We now find that arson ocured but the police cannot understand people carrying incendiary devices might be guilty of arson. In short, the insanity is wide spread and a prerequisite for employment in LA and California.

These policies also drove insurance companies out of California. So will the government reimburse the property owners for their mismanagement and failure to provide the services they were supposed to provide? We all know the answer. The politicians diverted the monies to illegals and DEI programs.

The people voted for the commie mayor. They voted for crazy Newsom. You get what you wish for. California is a warning for the rest of the nation. I also think that this was planned and that illegals besides looting also committed arson in several cases.

If you think the government is going to rescue you remember LA and Hawaii, then look at NC.

One last word, look at the two women the DC and Capitol police murdered on Jan 6th.

Then remember the climate change crowd and all the Antifa and BLM supporters and enablers.

This is what Democrats do. They pass massive spending bills for monumental projects and then steal it blind. The projects then just run “overbudget” and more money gets plowed into them. See the “Inflation Reduction Act”. They get more money, bring in more of their friends to share in the thievery, rinse, repeat.

These policies also drove insurance companies out of California. So will the government reimburse the property owners for their mismanagement and failure to provide the services they were supposed to provide?

Reckon that was a plan to force property owners to give up and abandon their properties?

Curt you see this …right?
George and dave same bot type that wants us to get online businesses?

Just saw it now. Vacationing with family so first time I’ve gotten on since this morning. Taken care of

CA’s dems thought they’d never have to face the music when they mis-spent so much taxpayers money on liberal wet dreams.
An $8 billion “high speed rail,” that reaches less than one mile.
$$$ to Ukraine, a form of virtue signaling.
$$$ for gay choirs, tranny surgeries for youths, the “homeless,” eqals more virtue signaling.
But then the day came when the wind, the heat, the combustibles, and the arsonists all got together and SoCal went up like a tinder box.

Should a new president Trump focus on such a lost cause as CA?
Or, would he be better served (and the USA, too) by focusing on creating the “Mar-an-Igloo” out of Greenland, the PanaMaga Canal, finishing “the wall,” and making the US a manufacturing powerhouse again?

The guy they caught with 5 cell phones maybe they should find out who is calling a looting gang or Blackrock.

It’s still early, but no one has “faced the music” yet. If history tells us anything, they won’t, but this is a pretty big f**k up. Let’s hope.
