Think the fires are bad in California? You just wait until DEI is fully integrated.

Add one drop forest mismanagement, one drop water mismanagement, one drop budget cuts, one drop DEI, mix and you have California.

And it’s only going to get worse. Someone page George Santayana.

It seems every fire in California is something brand new to its government. They never seem to learn a thing from history. If it wasn’t so tragic it would be a comedy. It’s as if they’ve never heard of Santa Ana winds or adequate water storage.

Claims are flying around about water management

Fire hydrants have run dry. It is being argued that water storage tanks around the city were filled.

Jeffrey Mount, senior fellow at the PPIC Water Policy Center, a think tank that tracks water use and storage data in California, told VERIFY that there isn’t a shortage of water in the area’s reservoirs.

“At no time during this fire has there been a shortage of water in southern California,” Mount said. “Their reservoirs are full. And there is nothing to be done with water that would have changed the course of these fires.”

Obviously, there aren’t enough storage tanks but it’s only part of the problem.

California is completely derelict when it comes to forest management. Ironically, Donald Trump commented about this back in 2019

Forbes 2019:

Newsom didn’t admit it, but the outrageous cost to remove a few dead trees from private land is a consequence of California’s Byzantine environmental regulatory patchwork.

This is California’s big secret: it’s not climate change that’s burning up the forests, killing people, and destroying hundreds of homes; it’s decades of environmental mismanagement that has created a tinderbox of unharvested timber, dead trees, and thick underbrush.

Did I mention that LA Mayor Karen Bass cut the LAFD budget by $17 million before she abandoned the city?

L.A. Fire Chief Kristin Crowley warned Mayor Karen Bass (D) last month the $17+ million she cut from the department’s budget “severely limited the department’s capacity to prepare for, train for, and respond to large-scale emergencies, including wildfires”

That bring us to Kristin Crowley, the celebrated LGBTQ LAFD Fire Chief. The crisis, in her opinion, is not any of the above but rather a lack of diversity instead.

Apparently, “diversity” means that leadership must be all LGBTQ

Here’s some of what diversity gets you

You may have noticed the size of these women. A retired firefighter also noticed:

This is why I retired early !!!! In a 10 year period DEI hiring made fat Lesbians the most likely candidate to be hired, and made work conditions incredibly unsafe. We lost our Weight Room, to a Fucking pickleball Court for the Fatties.

People are going to die because of this. Here is the official Los Angeles “Qualifications & SELECTION PROCESS For a City of Los Angeles Firefighter”

It includes age, candidate assessment, license and something called CPAT, or Candidate Physical Ability Test. That can be found officially here. This is the description:

The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is a minimum requirement for the position of Firefighter. The job of a Firefighter is one of the most physically demanding jobs in North America. It requires high levels of cardiopulmonary endurance, muscular strength and muscular endurance. The CPAT consists of eight critical physical tasks that simulate actual job duties on the fire ground. Candidates must provide proof of a current passing score on the CPAT at the Pre-Background Appointment (PIQ) & CAP Baseline Fitness Assessment. Proof must also be provided at the time of certification for hiring consideration. A CPAT score is valid for one year. The City of Los Angeles will only accept the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). The Consolidated Physical Ability Test (formerly known as the Biddle Test) or any other physical ability test will not be accepted.

Here’s the video depicting the testing

Included in the “Physical” section of the Qualifications is this:

Firefighting and medical rescue work is physically demanding. Candidates must be in excellent health and have no conditions that would restrict their ability to safely do fire suppression and rescue work. Weight (body fat content) must be proportionate to height for men and women.

This all sounds quite appropriate. However, there is this one nagging thing:

“The CPAT program is currently on hold until further notice.”

Hmmm

Which probably accounts for the physical status of the above “firefighters.” I have grave doubts that the women in the above video actually could pass the CPAT test.

For the record, I am fine with women firefighters. I don’t care if they are LGBTQ or not.

I care if they are qualified to do the job.

The minute standards are lowered is the minute lives are put in jeopardy. Women in general cannot match men’s performance, as was shown by the military.

Following a three-year review, the Army has scrapped plans to use the same physical fitness test for all soldiers, choosing instead to have some reduced standards to allow women and older soldiers to pass, the service announced Wednesday.

The decision follows a RAND-led study that found men were more easily passing the new, more difficult Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) compared to women and older soldiers, who were “failing at noticeably higher rates.” That six-event test developed in 2019 was an expansion from the three events — pushups, situps and a run — soldiers had done prior.

Standards exist for a reason and should remain inviolate.

What’s happening in California is a confluence of inaction, absence of common sense, recalcitrance and stupidity and it’s only going to get worse once DEI is fully integrated and standards largely erased. Lives will be lost as a consequence, not to mention property.

Gov. Gavin Newsom presides over feckless responses to fires, an enormous debt, record homelessness, land and water mismanagement and the highest taxes in the country yet he calls California a “model for the future.”

Put that in your pocket for 2028.

To be fair to CA, pretty soon the only people who these firefighters will have to be accountable to will be illegals, the homeless, a few retirees stuck there because of the old Prop 13 and the elites.
The elites are the only ones they’ll really have to come thru for.

DEI does not integrate. It destroys.

People have to realize they can’t depend on their government for their safety.
If they are going to build in these areas, they need to have situational awareness.
Any building needs to be fire resistant, no flammable roofing materials and houses, even single family dwellings, need to have fire suppression systems.
Landscaping also needs to have some degree of fire resistance.
Likely fire departments can’t be depended on for either clearance, inspection by Fire Marshall, or for fighting fires.
The firemen or personnel likely will need to be rescued in any overwhelming fire.
Likely this fire season will be the straw that broke the camel’s back, as far as Los Angeles is concerned.
The city has been marginal in city services, and everything extremely expensive, including high taxes. Will people start to wonder where their tax money is going?
This may be a boost for people and businesses to start to not just leave California and the LA region, but to flee to safer and cheaper locations.
There seems to be a disconnect between city services and management.
There seems emphasis seems to be on celebrity status rather than capability and service, for example the Mayor being in Ghana rather than City Hall.
LA needs to be subdivided into smaller municipalities with accountability to residents.
It’s become so big, no one at upper levels is accountable.
Fire Districts need to be given independence, separate from city politics.
Unfortunately, this all needs to be done in the aftermath of an overwhelming disaster, which had been anticipated, and insurance companies recognized the extreme risk and withdrew or cancelled coverage recently.
If there is rebuild, it will need to be with the review and agreement of insuring agencies to mitigate risk.

This is what the people there voted for. And make no mistake, they will vote for it again. Normal people would demand change but lefties aren’t normal.

Governor Nuisance is trying to blame it all on Global Warming/Climate Change just like the M.S. Media Bottom Feeders and the various Eco-Freaks like the NRDC, EDF, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and con artists like Gore the Bore and DiCaprio and the rest of the High Living Hollywood wanks do

Behold the cleared ground for the newest 15 min, total surveillence, cities. They will all be renters BTW. The paracites wont let this opportunity pass by.

Back in July our small town Etna, Ca In Scott Valley/Siskiyou County came close to being Evacuated because of a Fire and the Cause has not been explained to us yet if they even bothered to Investigate

You want diversity?
YOU WANT DIVERSITY!??!
Hire based on merit, diversity will happen naturally.
Just look at President Trump’s cabinet!

It may have been, anagram to DEI. LA is DOA. The movie industry cant revive Miles of low income housing on welfare filled with poorly educated and unskilled. Doesnt take a crystal ball to see. The Federal dollars laundered out of this will make Ukraine look like a piggy bank.
