democrats have a stolen valor problem

democrats had what seemed to be an acute affliction that has become chronic problem. It’s called “furtiva virtus.” In English, it’s called stolen valor.

Tim Walz has taken mendacity to some new heights. He claimed to have carried weapons in war. He did not. When confronted about it, Walz attributed his lie to “poor grammar.”

CNN: “You said you carried weapons in war, but you’ve never deployed in a war zone…”

Walz: “… I speak candidly. I wear my emotions on my sleeves…”

CNN: “… You said that you were in war. Did you misspeak?”

Walz: “… My grammar is not always correct.”

The problem is that does not explain why he never corrected anyone when they introduced him or referred to him as a combat veteran.  His problem is not incorrect grammar, it’s being a liar. Dana Bash should have followed up, but she is just another CNN hack.

Then we have Wes Moore, the democrat Governor of Maryland, who falsely claimed to have been awarded a Bronze Star.

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore falsely claimed to have received the Bronze Star medal earlier in his political career, according to reports.

The specter of stolen valor has hovered over the Democratic governor since his campaign for the office in 2022, when two television interviewers introduced the politician as a Bronze Star recipient.

Moore did not correct either interviewer, but his staff has been adamant that he never claimed to have gotten the reward.

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request filed by the New York Times revealed Moore did, in fact, assert that he had received the Bronze Star, on an application for the White House fellowship in January 2006.

“For my work, the 82nd Airborne Division have awarded me the Bronze Star Medal and the Combat Action Badge,” Moore wrote.

“I made an honest mistake by including something because my commanding officer thought it was a good idea,” Moore said.

And then we have one of the Vindman boys. From Bill Shipley on X:

Alexander Vindman running for Congress in VA has huge problems too.

Repeatedly referred to himself as “retired Colonel” when he didn’t have enough time at the rank, and is actually retired as a Lt. Colonel. Referred to being in combat, when he was deployed to Iraq as an Army JAG and was in a rear area the whole time.

AVOIDING all interviews where this might come up and refusing to issue any clarifications. Refusing to debate where he will be asked about it.

This comment made me laugh

This boastful exaggeration mendacity is bewildering. It really tarnishes their records of service, but each has felt the embellishment necessary. It’s as if service was but a vehicle for political gain but needed a booster shot, which each has given his record.

Not a “grammar” issue.
Over many years this man taught English to Chinese students … in China.
He understands English grammar.
There was no, “subject/verb disagreement,” no “run-on sentences.”
He didn’t end a sentence in a preposition.
What he did was LIE.
And he did it over and over again.
He did it to enhance his resume’.

dems like to opine that “grammar is racist.”
But, even when I listen to the very worst English from some rappers, I can get the idea correctly.
Tim Walz is a liar.

Just assume everything is fake. Girl…? maybe. Guy…? maybe. Awards….? maybe. Etc…

For a party that shows such utter disregard of the American Armed Forces, its members, its veterans, its purpose, and its legacy, Democrats sure are quick to wear it as a skin suit if it fits their short term objectives.

Vindman and his c-lipped brother should be in Ukraine

Democrats steal whatever they want. I guess we can include Blumenthal. They deride Trump for not serving (neither did Clinton, Biden or Obama, but oh, well) yet they lie about serving. Just like every other “principle” of theirs, this would is full of nothing.

I don’t know how “grammar” explains Walz claiming to have had PTSD from combat.

Yes Kamala claimed she worked at Mc Donalds but….Lot Lizzard doesnt count.
