On July 14 Donald Trump narrowly escaped being assassinated by Thomas Crooks. The same left-wing media that steadfastly refused to insist Joe Biden undergo cognitive testing went into action demanding medical records and proof that Trump was actually injured – photos of a bleeding ear notwithstanding. This led to a number of squirrelly conspiracy theories being disseminated.
The first theory held that a bullet had actually shattered a glass teleprompter panel, and a shard of glass then hit Trump’s ear. That theory suffered from the fact that the teleprompter panels were not hit by bullets and appeared to be intact after the shooting. But that did not stop the theorists from starting with the glass and going on from there.
“We still don’t know for sure whether Donald Trump was hit by a bullet, whether he was hit by glass fragments, whether he was hit by shrapnel — we don’t have those details,” MSNBC host Joy Reid said a few days after the assassination attempt. “We actually have no details from his physician, even though this man is still a Secret Service-protected, you know, presidential candidate. We know almost nothing.” Reid was also upset that, in her view of things, Trump’s Secret Service agents “allowed” the former president to stand up after being hit so that he could pose for photos.
“We don’t know why, for nine full seconds, Donald Trump was allowed to stand back up during an active shooting, an active shooter situation, even though they at that point had said the shooter was down. How would they have known if there were more shooters or not?” Reid said. “Yet they allowed him to stand up in the middle of that crisis and pose for a photo and fist-pump the air so he could get the iconic photo.”
Clearly Reid has an active imagination. Finally, she questioned the wound that Trump suffered in the shooting. “What is the actual injury to Donald Trump’s ear that is under that bandage?” she said. “Shouldn’t we know that by now? It’s weird.”
As if that wasn’t bad enough, FBI Director Christopher Wray waltzed into a Congressional hearing and blurted out to shocked attendees arguably one of the stupidest things anyone could imagine.
The head of the FBI made the stunning assertion Wednesday that former President Donald Trump may not have been struck by an actual bullet when a deranged gunman attempted to assassinate him at a political rally — and was instead injured by shrapnel.
FBI Director Christopher Wray told the House Judiciary Committee in a hearing that it was not clear precisely what caused the injury to Trump’s ear during the shooting.
“With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear,” Wray said in response to a question from House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).
What the hell?
Trump did not take this well.
Trump issued a blistering statement on his Truth Social platform one day after Wray during congressional testimony said the FBI was uncertain whether Trump was wounded by a bullet, shrapnel or flying glass during the July 13 assassination attempt at an outdoor arena in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Director Christopher Wray told Congress yesterday that he wasn’t sure if I was hit by shrapnel, glass, or a bullet (the FBI never even checked!), but he was sure that Crooked Joe Biden was physically and cognitively ‘uneventful,’” Trump wrote. “Wrong!”
“That’s why he knows nothing about the terrorists and other criminals pouring into our Country at record levels. His only focus is destroying J6 Patriots, Raiding Mar-a-Lago, and saving Radical Left Lunatics, like the ones now in D.C. burning American flags and spray painting over our great National Monuments – with zero retribution,” he added.
Exactly what is it that Wray does at the FBI? It seems he gets his news from MSNBC and Joy Reid. Wray apparently spends an inordinate time away from the office. Miranda Devine:
Back in August 2022, Chris Wray cut short a Senate oversight hearing to fly off on the FBI jet on vacation but lied to Chairman Grassley that he had “business” to attend to. On a hunch, because Wray is untrustworthy, I looked up the destination of the FBI jet and put two and two together since his family has a holiday house in the Adirondacks. The FBI ignored my question about the holiday house and claimed the timing of his departure from the hearing was “prearranged”. (Grassley said he got 30 mins notice).
Wray also uses the jet, originally bought for counter terrorism purposes, to commute back and forth to his home in Buckhead, Georgia. Current and former FBI agents are furious that Wray treats the FBI jet like his own private plane, and allege it amounts to “embezzlement” of government property, which is when someone “knowingly converts government property to one’s own use.”
Having a liar at the head of the premier law enforcement agency is disastrous. But it’s par for the course in the Biden administration. Lying is a prerequisite. That’s because the guy at the top is a congenital liar who has ended up like all liars do eventually, unable to distinguish delusion from reality.

The bureau now said that it was in fact a bullet that struck Trump’s ear, but they are still investigating the bullet fragments found on the rally site.
“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” the FBI said in its statement, according to ABC News.
After severe ridicule, the FBI finally came to its senses with the realization everyone else in the world knew long ago:
FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate said on Tuesday that there was “no doubt” that former President Donald Trump was struck in the ear with a bullet during an assassination attempt at his July 13 rally.
“There is absolutely no doubt in the FBI’s mind whether former President Trump was hit with a bullet and wounded in the ear. No doubt, there never has been,” Abbate said when Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) asked if Trump was hit with a bullet.
This is nothing short of pathetic. It is amazing that the FBI catches anyone other than Jan 6 protesters.
If they actually do.
Wray has to go. The playboy lifestyle has to be forfeit. America deserves a full-time person at the head of the FBI.
