Thomas Crooks posted an ominous warning prior to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump
Would-be Donald Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks wrote a chilling online message that hinted at sinister plans for the day he shot up the former president’s Butler, Pa., rally over the weekend.
“July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds,” the 20-year-old gunman allegedly wrote on Steam, a popular online platform where gamers communicate, Fox News reported.
The foreshadowing was revealed to US senators during a briefing by top law enforcement officials Wednesday.
This has happened before but it’s hard to say someone should have connected it to what transpired. Other issues were not so problematic.
Crooks was spotted at least 50 minutes before the shooting.
The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) and the FBI told lawmakers Wednesday that former President Donald Trump’s would-be assassin was identified well before shots rang out at the Pennsylvania rally, according to sources familiar with the briefing.
Federal law enforcement held the briefing with lawmakers to go over specifics of the shooting that nearly killed Trump on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania. During the call, USSS and FBI officials stated that the gunman, later identified as Thomas Crooks, was noticed about an hour before the shooting, or approximately 50 minutes before Trump took the stage to address the crowd, according to two sources familiar with the briefing.

Exclusive photos showed the gunman’s bike parked beneath a tree just yards away from the building where he fired up to eight shots, grazing Trump’s ear and killing a hero firefighter and wounding two other supporters.
A witness first noticed the bike at 5:30 p.m. — when Crooks was busy scoping out the perfect spot and more than 40 minutes before he fired gunshots.
The “slope” being an excuse not to station an agent on the neighboring roof is plain stupid. But this is absolutely unforgivable:
The Secret Service was warned about Thomas Matthew Crooks and designated him as a “threat” 10 minutes before former President Donald Trump took the stage, but allowed him to go on anyway, law enforcement sources told The Post.
The agency was also warned that there was a “character of suspicion” on the grounds more than an hour before Saturday’s deadly shooting at Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, sources said.
Fox News first reported the new details, which emerged during a stunning Senate briefing by the Secret Service on Wednesday.
Sources told The Post that Crooks was not described as having a gun when the warning went out.
“He was identified as a character of suspicion because [he had] a rangefinder as well as a backpack. And this was over an hour before the shooting actually occurred,” said Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.).
“So, you would think over the course of that hour, you shouldn’t lose sight of the individual. Somebody ought to be following up on those sorts of things. No evidence of that happening at all.”
They saw that he had a range finder. Range finders are ubiquitous in golf, but Crooks wasn’t carrying a wedge. The USSS had time to react:
It was previously unknown whether local police who spotted Crooks outside the perimeter of the rally had warned Secret Service agents in time. The new details confirm that the agency got the message, but failed to act on it.
Barrasso noted that the top Secret Service agent in charge of securing the rally was speaking to local police on the phone as the shooting took place.
Losing track of a threat but allowing FPOTUS to take the stage anyway is abominable. Were Cheatle not a BFF of Jill Biden she likely would been ejected already. There is no excuse for this.
Senators are demanding answers, but they should be demanding Cheatle’s resignation.
We’ve seen a lot of discussion about Iran’s threat to Trump, but it seems to me that right now the greatest threat to Trump is the United States Secret Service.

Nothing in this entire saga adds up. It seems the more is uncovered in terms of irregularities, the easier it is to believe this was an inside job.
