DEI almost gets Donald Trump DOA

Kimberly Cheatle is the Director of the Secret Service. She was appointed to that position by President Joe Biden in 2022.

Prior to becoming the Secret Service director, Cheatle worked for PepsiCo as the senior director in Global Security, according to her biography with the Secret Service. There, Cheatle oversaw and directed security protocols for the company’s facilities in North America.

She is part of Biden’s push for more women in positions of power in government and she in turn, has been primarily focused on diversity over talent:

In an effort to diversify the agency, Cheatle aims to have 30% female recruits by 2030. Part of that effort has included allowing YouTube influencer Michelle Khare to train with agents.

“I’m very conscious as I sit in this chair now, of making sure that we need to attract diverse candidates and ensure that we are developing and giving opportunities to everybody in our workforce, and particularly women,” Cheatle said.

The failed assassination us ultimately her responsibility.  The other day Elon Musk quipped:

The decisions about resources to commit to an event are decided at the SS headquarters in DC.

Staffing decisions would have been made at Secret Service headquarters in Washington, based on whatever agency personnel on the ground recommended after a several-day investigation of the site, Pickle said.

“An advance team actually does a lengthy survey, where they look at everything and then recommend what they need,” he said.

“But if they’re stretched for resources, headquarters can say we can only get you one team out there. And that’s not unusual — if you don’t have it, you don’t have it,” Pickle said.

“It always boils down to resources,” he said. “And if it’s not a resource problem, and the money was there, then it’s still an allocation of resources problem,” he said — meaning someone underestimated the manpower needed to keep Trump safe.

Regardless of how many snipers were present, the Secret Service would typically have “360-degree coverage” of an event where a sitting or former president is speaking, Cangelosi said.

Obviously, they did not. This was a case of gross negligence. And there’s a lot more.

Crooks was a white rooftop below the line of sight of the two sniper teams guarding Trump, and both seemed to have the weapons trained in his direction.

The big is one is that, inexplicably, the Secret Service outsourced securing the few neighboring buildings to Mayberry RFD

BUTLER, Pa. — The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting.

Instead, securing and patrolling the factory grounds of AGR International Inc. — located about 130 yards from the stage where Trump was speaking Saturday — was the responsibility of local Pennsylvania police, Secret Service representative Anthony Gugliemi said, according to the New York Times.

The Secret Service was only tasked with covering the grounds where Trump’s rally took place, with local police being recruited to assist with those efforts and secure the area outside the rally.

Love to know who made that decision. We could guess.

The local counter sniper team was in the building which Thomas Crooks climbed up upon. How Crooks got access to the roof is yet a mystery.

Crooks was spotted on the roof twice 30 minutes prior to the shooting. The local sniper teams saw Crooks three times before the shooting.

A team of police snipers team saw Thomas Crooks scouting their command post three times in the minutes before he climbed on top of it and shot Donald Trump from just inches above their heads, it has emerged.

Three police marksmen from Beaver County were using the single-story AGR International building as their watch-post when the would-be assassin chose it as his place to shoot from, CBS reported.

And he may have been in place on the roof for up to 30 minutes before he unleashed his volley of shots that killed one man and nearly took the life of the 45th president on Saturday evening.

The local cops had their own Uvalde moment.

The local Pennsylvania sheriff defended the armed officer who encountered former President Donald Trump’s would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks on the rooftop moments before the shooting — claiming it was the right call to retreat after the gunman pointed the weapon at him.

Butler County Sheriff Michael Slupe confirmed Monday that a local officer made contact with Crooks after being hoisted up to the roof by another officer — but fled when the sniper pointed his AR-style assault rifle at the officer.

“I would have done the same thing, absolutely,” Slupe told KDKA.

It was the JOB to follow up on this. The cop should have drawn his weapon if it was not already drawn and if nothing else opened fire with only his exposed but I’ll let Curt weigh in on that one.

There is at least one witness who claims he warned the Secret Service about the shooter

A witness to the assassination revealed he warned Secret Service agents about a man with a rifle on a nearby roof minutes before they opened fire.

The witness, named Greg Smith, told DailyMail.com that he saw the suspected gunman climb into a rooftop outside the event, and was bewildered by the lack of action from agents.

Which begs the question “Why didn’t they take him out right then and there?”

Susan Crabtree of RealClearPolitics reported this:

The blowback against the Secret Service started within the hour of the assassination attempt and continued even after Trump and other credited the agency with saving Trump’s life by quickly killing a shooter crawling across a nearby rooftop.   But a source within the Secret Service community tells RealClearPolitics that the agency rules of engagement in this situation are to wait until the president is fired upon to return fire.   “You want to take a shot then find out the guy was holding a telescope?” the source suggested. “The Secret Service is by nature reactive…and you better be right when you do react or you’re f—–d.”

The Secret Service protocol requires that a counter sniper aware of a potential shooter to radio directly to intelligence division team to respond and investigate. In this case, the investigation may have been cut short by the shooter firing his weapon, so the counter sniper then fired as quickly as possible in return.

The source praised the counter sniper who acquired the target and responded within three seconds, calling their performance “incredible.”

“The counter snipers are highly trained and extremely accurate,” he said.

Others with law enforcement and military backgrounds want to know whether the Secret Service utilized drones, i.e. small unmanned aircraft systems, to provide detailed situational awareness. If the agency did not use drones, why not, these experts ask. The use of drones has been a controversial issue within the agency since at least 2016. Implementing drones would have provided detailed line-of-site analysis and aerial surveillance that would have easily identified the rooftop as a potential threat area.

“The USSS has access to all the best imagery and elevation data,” the military expert told RCP. “I’m not saying they didn’t [use drones], but it’s an open question.”

With the SS having their own high tech scopes, and the distance being around 130 years it’s hard to accept that a rifle would be indistinguishable from a scope.

This has been called a “massive security failure” and it certainly was. There is no excuse for the USSS not securing a line of sight that close.

There were moments that would have been comical were the situation not so tragic:

Here is the folly of hiring women for the sake of hiring women

They’re supposed to be able to cover Trump up. That woman is a foot shorter than Trump and there’s no way on Earth she could carry him alone.

In this image it looks more as though Trump is comforting and protecting her

Oh, and BTW, Kim Cheatle was appointed to the Director of the Secret Service after a push from Jill Biden:

Embattled Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who is facing congressional outcry and calls to resign over security lapses leading to former President Donald Trump’s near-assassination Saturday, landed her role thanks largely to a close relationship with first lady Jill Biden, The Post has learned.

Cheatle, 53, is the second woman to lead the presidential protection agency and secured the non-Senate-confirmed role in August 2022 after a three-year stint as senior director of global security at PepsiCo.

The Secret Service, as are the SEALs, pilots and the armed forces, is no place for DEI and “equity.” Trump had to have felt safer with the detail he had last night.

Many on social media noticed that former president Donald Trump was surrounded by an almost all-male security detail on Monday following an assassination attempt on Saturday

I agree 100% with this assessment

In case you forgot, the DEI experiment has encountered headwinds before:

A Secret Service officer assigned to protect Vice President Kamala Harris who got into a brawl with her colleagues earlier this week previously filed a $1 million gender discrimination lawsuit against the city of Dallas while working as a police officer.

Michelle Herczeg was removed from her duties on Wednesday after displaying erratic behavior and assaulting a superior officer while awaiting Harris’ departure from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Monday.

In December 2016, Herczeg — then a senior corporal with the Dallas Police Department — filed her claim against the city, alleging that she “was targeted for being a female officer and treated less favorably,” according to a contemporary report by the Dallas Morning News.

Sources confirmed Herczeg’s identity and her role in the earlier lawsuit to The Post on Thursday.

According to RealClearPolitics, Herczeg arrived at Joint Base Andrews on Monday morning and began deleting apps from a male agent’s personal cellphone before becoming more irate.

The outlet reported that Herczeg began mumbling to herself, hiding behind curtains and throwing menstrual pads and other items at another agent, telling her colleagues they were “going to burn in hell and needed to listen to God.”

Finally, this to bolster your confidence in the USSS:

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle says RNC security ‘strengthened’

RNC Milwaukee 2024: Secret Service says ‘no change’ to security operation

Many questions remain. Why does the USSS have to let someone shoot POTUS before they engage? This kid was an allegedly a lousy marksman. Who made him better? Who was responsible for keeping the USSS from securing the nearby rooftop?

I look forward to the answers. Without a doubt, prior to this sad day Alejandro Mayorkas would have told us “Former President Trump is secure.”

UPDATE

Cheatle explains why the USSS did not put an agent on the rooftop:

‘That building in particular has a sloped roof at its highest point. And so, you know, there’s a safety factor that would be considered there that we wouldn’t want to put somebody up on a sloped roof,’ she told ABC News in an interview Tuesday.

‘And so, you know, the decision was made to secure the building, from inside.’

As opposed to these guys

Cheatle’s main goal seems to be hiring all women in Secret Service.
She wants a 30% female SS before 2030.
We already saw how female guards worked out for Gaddafi.
But they were cute…. and he must have been short.

Look at the state of that so called officer, what a joke…who’d want that protecting them?

fumbling and pony tails….jesus.

Kimberly Cheatle, the Director of the Secret Service is solely to blame for the SS debacle (the shit is in the head). The female SS officer who is currently being pilloried and crucified was in the position she had been led to believe she was qualified for and capable of.

She’s a human being, earning a crust and advancing as encouraged by those in positions she trusts to assess her capabilities and suitability for the role. Possibly giving her best effort on the day – cut her some slack. The shit is in the head ….that’s you Kimberly Cheatle. Choose the right target for your anger.

But still, she has to know, if she is somewhat intelligent that she is not capable of doing the job. Doesn’t she?
Maybe not. Too many participation trophies as a kid maybe. She could not even holster her weapon, was hiding behind the man she was supposed to defend. Just pathetic.

Like Cheatle claiming the roof was too steep for her agents to set up on, but the men who took down the shooter were set up on a STEEPER roof!
Why lie?
She is toast, along with jill and joe.

Guess which one is a DEI hire.
