WTAF did you think was going to happen?

You will recall that in 2014 Russia annexed Crimea and Barack Obama couldn’t have cared less. You will recall that when asked how he’d react to Russia invading Ukraine Joe Biden said he wouldn’t mind a “minor incursion.”

“I think what you’re going to see is that Russia will be held accountable if it invades. And it depends on what it does. It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do, et cetera,”

So what made Ukraine all of a sudden so damned vital to our national interest?

Biden, as he usually does, signaled weakness. Mind you, the only time Russia did not invade any Ukraine territory was during the Trump administration.

Well, sensing weakness, Russia did invade Ukraine and the conflict has become a monetary black hole for the US with no end in sight. As of late April, the US has sent $113 BILLION to Ukraine, with some dubious accounting along the way. There have been 500,000 casualties in the war, with estimates of 120,000 Russians and 70,000 Ukrainians dead.

Biden asked for $500 million for heavily armed vehicles, missiles and air defense  on June 26. He asked for $21 billion for Ukraine on August 11, tying it disaster relief with only $12 billion earmarked for FEMA. On August 29 he wants another $250 billion for Ukraine.

When does it end? What we are involved in now is another Vietnam. China backed North Vietnam against the US in that conflict. Now comes word that North Korea is negotiating with Russia to provide weapons for use in the current war.

Russia and North Korea are “actively advancing” negotiations for weapons that would be used in the war in Ukraine, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield said at a news conference. She called the development new and “deeply troubling,” as Washington’s tensions with Pyongyang and Moscow deepen.

You don’t say.

“Russia is negotiating potential deals for significant quantities and multiple types of munitions from the DPRK to be used against Ukraine,” Thomas-Greenfield said, using the abbreviation for North Korea’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. She accused Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu of using his visit to North Korea last month as an opportunity to “try to convince Pyongyang to sell artillery ammunition to Russia.” She also condemned Shoigu’s attendance at the secretive state’s military parade, which featured weapons prohibited by the U.N. Security Council.

WTAF were you expecting, Thomas-Greenfield? This is war. Joe Biden was expecting to bankrupt Russia into surrender. Thanks to North Korea it’s not happening- not now and not in the foreseeable future.

Zelenskyy is boasting about his new long range missiles and their ability to strike well into Russia. Putin is also rattling the saber

MOSCOW — The head of Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said Friday that the country has deployed an advanced intercontinental ballistic missile that President Vladimir Putin once said will make Russia’s enemies “think twice.”

Agency head Yuri Borisov said Sarmat missiles have been placed on combat duty, according to Russian news agencies. Further details were not reported.

The Sarmat is one of several advanced weapons whose development Putin announced in 2018. The silo-based missile, capable of carrying multiple nuclear warheads, is intended to replace the R-36 ICBMs that are known by the NATO reporting name of Satan.

The Sarmat reportedly has a short initial launch phase, allowing little time for surveillance systems to track it.

In 2022, about two months after sending troops into Ukraine, Putin said the Sarmat would “reliably ensure the security of Russia from external threats and make those who, in the heat of aggressive rhetoric, try to threaten our country, think twice,.”

The ground war is largely at a stalemate. Ukrainian men and now paying for medical exemptions to avoid Zelenskyy’s meat grinder.

Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has decried corrupt medical exemptions that have enabled people to avoid military service, saying the system was subject to bribes and mass departures abroad.

Zelenskiy said the National Security and Defence Council had considered data showing the extent of false exemptions, bribe-taking and flight abroad since Russia’s February 2022 invasion. The investigation of dubious medical exemptions was still being conducted, he said.

“There are examples of regions where the number of exemptions from military service due to medical commission decisions has increased tenfold since February last year,” Zelenskiy said on Wednesday in his nightly video address.

“It is absolutely clear what sort of decisions these are. Corrupt decisions.”

He said the investigation had exposed corrupt practices in different regions and by officials in different positions, involving bribes ranging from $3,000 to $15,000.

We are slipping toward a major confrontation between world powers. This war is metastasizing. How many more on both sides have to die to satiate the hunger for this war? Biden and his war machine are going get us all killed.

Seems like the people cheering this insanity are the same ones who were screaming at the sky about Trump certainly going to start a nuclear war.

Well, see, that’s because they are STUPID.

The annual GDP of the state of California is twice that of all Russia.

So?

Might be true….
But look at Russia’s priorities.
They manufacture war goods as well as buy them (cheap) from North Korea.
They don’t waste a penny, make that ruble, on gender fairy tales for prisoners and students, like CA.
They don’t waste cash on “green” energy that poor Newsome has had to back away from recently, like CA.
They never built, or started to build, a high-speed rail to nowhere, like CA.

So why does California have so many homeless. Never saw people shiting in the streets of Moscow.

But…. grifters gotta grift… how else can Hunter sell his “art”?

This will turn into a massive windfall for N.Korea. Boy, Robin Ware/Robert L. Peters/JRB Ware/Pedo Peter/idiot Biden is a boon to all the dictator’s economies while he craters ours. This NEVER would have happened under Trump.

NEVER.

War is as good as pestilence when it comes to killing off swaths of earth’s population.
Rev 6: 1-8.

The WEF’s 2030 Agenda is all about killing people off, so as long as WEF globalists run the USA and EU we can expect more.

As to corruption in Ukraine, I don’t want to be lectured by Zelinsky about it.
He has millions in Western cash stowed away in bank accounts and in bearer bonds.
He has multiple villas in foreign countries where he could go live whenever he’s ready to leave the sinking ship.
Ukraine’s top generals are also getting their cuts of the loot, some have even been caught trying to stash it in foreign countries.
So, he can STFU.

More people get rich with war, though.

Being under Soviet rule for 75 years, the entire region is corrupt. I would take a long, long time to purge the corruption and vultures like the Biden’s, Kerry’s and Clinton’s don’t help in eliminating it. They like to send US money over there so they can rake the cream off the top.

How long has the US been under the corrupt rule of Ivy League denizens?

What makes the Ukraine vital to our national security? Remember the people advocating for military aid to the Ukraine are the wiz kids who demanded that the Ukraine give up its nuclear weapons. Our State Dept is invested with the rejects from the FBI and CIA. The CIA is filled with the rejects from the Dept of Motor Vehicles.

It is over, no more money to the Ukraine laundromat. This never would have happened had the 2020 election not be stolen.

05/20/24 – Putin loses more than 1,500 soldiers in faltering Kharkiv offensive

Russia has lost more than 1,500 soldiers in the past week in the grinding war in Kharkiv even as Vladimir Putin claimed he has “no plans” to take Ukraine’s second largest city.

As of yesterday evening, Russia has lost 1,572 soldiers in just the last seven days and 263 units of military equipment, including 75 drones, 66 army vehicles and eight tanks, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

In the past 24 hours, Russian troops have tried to break through Ukraine’s defences using aircraft and guided aerial bombs, and there have been around a dozen ground skirmishes.

Tens of thousands of Russian forces stormed across the border into the Kharkiv region last month to capture the city. But Mr Putin, speaking in Beijing last week, said his troops have “no plans as of today” to try and take control of Kharkiv city.

This comes as at least 11 people were killed and dozens were wounded after Russian forces struck a busy lakeside resort on the edge of Kharkiv and attacked villages in the surrounding region.

Ukrainian bloggers report that units of the 59th Infantry Brigade abandoned their positions in the area of the village of Netaylovo

Ukrainian militants of the 59th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were unable to take up defense south of the settlement behind Avdeevka after the meat grinder near Pervomaiskoye and continued to retreat.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine actually found themselves surrounded by fire in the area of Pervomaiskoye thanks to their brothers-in-arms from the 71st separate Jaeger brigade, who abandoned their positions without a team at the beginning of May, as a result of which units of the “Center” group quickly occupied the gardens near Pervomaiskoye.

According to the 59th brigade itself, in these battles they lost 20-30 people a day only as missing people.

The motto on the 59th brigade chevron looks especially comical against this background. “Until victory” – running away to the east.
